I made tea w/ licorice by accident.

This morning I grabbed the wrong tea. One of ingredients is licorice.  Before taking my first sip I caught my mistake. (I smelled that it was the wrong tea.) I quickly Googled: licorice progesterone. It appears licorice promotes progesterone.

    Licorice root is not supposed to be safe for pregnancy.

    I'm not understanding why you would Google "licorice" and "progesterone", either... why not just do a search of "licorice" and "pregnancy" if you felt concerned?

    Seriously, though...I'm scratching my head about progesterone and licorice??? I feel like I'm missing the punchline.

    I'm not sure about the progesterone part, but I've read that licorice tea is fine in small amounts - like, several cups a week is harmless.

    I think she's warning others who might not know about this. OP seems to have known she owned the wrong tea. She's letting people know it's not safe? That my thought.
