Any upcoming appointments? Nope, next check up on Dec 16th and anatomy scan on Dec 20th
Rants/Raves/Questions? At my check up on Friday, my dr was able to find 2 distinct heartbeats with the doppler, so that was pretty cool.
GTKY - what would you do for Thanksgiving if you didn't have any obligations? I always say I'd love to go away for the holidays. Like go to a cabin in Vermont and have a totally perfect meal, preferably not made by me.

@mia1116 - I had an appointment recently where they listened with the doppler, but it was HORRIBLE. My usual dr is out with a medical emergency and the dr that I saw had a horrible nurse. She kept trying to gently say she only found one heartbeat. After multiple attempts she said, well i'm only finding one unless they have the exact same rate. I told her they had been the same/within 3 of each other each time so far but even so i'd only heard one on one side with her. Also, the one she was finding was only 125 and they had been 170 and then 155 last time, so I was a little worried about how drastically it had slowed. She said that was normal. With that she just went out of the room and when the Dr. came in to discuss he just said "well everything looks good." I asked him what he meant that everything looked good since she was only able to find one and he said she told him she found both and he wanted me to come back in four weeks (my normal dr had wanted to see me again in 2). I explained to him that she kept telling me she only found one and he just signed off on the paper and sent me on my way. I got to my car and started crying so I decided to go back in and ask for someone else to take a listen and after waiting another hour (with my one year old who already patiently waited for one hour) I got to see someone else who instantly found two heartbeats that were in the 150s and 160s.
Question- I had a scan at 12w4d that was the NT Scan (which was referred out to the specialist) but haven't had one at my OB practice since 9 weeks. My regular OB directed me for when to schedule my anatomy scan and I scheduled it just like she said which falls at 16w2d. The one that I saw last week acted like I needed to cancel that and that there was no way that is what she had said, that I should wait until 18 weeks. I didn't cancel it because I trust my normal OB much more than this guy... but I'm seeing how late all of you all are having scans and it's making me feel funny about going so early. Would you have kept it?
As far as the anatomy scan goes, I had the same OB for my son and both my anatomy scans for both pregnancies were scheduled for 20 weeks. Maybe you should call and double check with your dr?

A surprise one this week! Just found we are having twin girls, so I need to see the high risk OB.

I am freaking out about having twins. I don't have any on my side of the family, I just can't believe it. I have daughter at home that is about to turn two, and the twins are both girls... there is going to be a whole lot of estrogen rolling around my house.
