My 38 week appointment is on Tuesday and that's my last appointment before my RCS on 12/5!

My hips are killing me. And I'm just ready to give birth already!
GTKY: What last minute things do you still have to get done before baby arrives?
I need to get some last minute items for baby- long sleeved white onesies, lanolin, freezer milk bags...

How far along are you? 39 weeks!

How big is baby? A pumpkin, or a box of a dozen krispy kreme donuts

Appointments, anything going on this week? Appt on wednesday...my last appt was 3 minutes long, but hopefully at this one they discuss eviction options...At my 40 week appt I will already be 40 +2, and I was induced last time at 41 +5. They promised they wouldn't make me wait until 42 weeks for induction bc DS was pretty big and had a broken collar bone from delivery, so they didn't want to chance that with this one. To me that means discussing induction at the 39 week appt where I will be 39+5 and talking about doing it the following week sometime. But we'll see what it means to them...

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions I still can't eat a lot, so I guess in general food is an aversion to me.

Rants/Raves/Questions? My nesting instinct has totally left me. I swear. Like, a week ago I was down with cleaning all of the things. Post Turkey Day I'm like, no. No thank you, I will sit here and watch Gilmore Girls. Its a bit of a pain.

GTKY: What last minute things do you still have to get done before baby arrives? I have to wash the car seat. Base is installed, the actual fabric of the seat needs washed. Had to get two bolts for the hand me down crib that need to go in now, and locate the hanging thingy that newborns lay in for the pack n play. Other than that...we're doin' ok!

The size of a papaya, although she feels like King Kong banging around in there.

Appointments, anything going on this week?

Not this week. I was supposed to have an ultrasound Friday but it got moved to Monday the 5th. I'm looking forward to that!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?

I want sweets. All of them.

Rants/Raves/Questions?
BH are wearing me out. They are bad when I'm in the car. We are traveling back to see our family on Friday (we just got back from there yesterday!). My birthday is Sunday and we are having "Christmas dinner" in combination with my bday in case I'm having a baby on actual Christmas! Then I'm going to be done traveling. The 1.5 hours in the car doesn't usually seem like much, but I don't like the contractions it seems to cause.

Pretty much everything

poor second child. We are having a baby shower tomorrow and I plan on setting up her tiny corner-of-our-bedroom nursery after that. Life is crazy right now (we're probably moving soon after she's born if things works out!) and we just don't have the space/ability to create a full-on nursery for her in our stupid house we're renting.

He is the size of a baby

probably about 8lbs right now if he is on par with my other 2 kids!

My last appointment is on Wednesday, then next Wednesday on the 12/7 my RCS!!!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?

The BH are driving me up the wall. As of today, I've been having this low, achy cramping going on also. I'm wondering if my BH are causing dilation, or maybe I just need to poop! If it continues with my consistent BH, I might end up at L&D today. The BH are coming at an average of every 7 minutes since I woke up, and I don't usually have that many until the evenings.
I still want to eat everything, except I haven't like eggs that much.

Rants/Raves/Questions?
My body is in pain. I'm super swollen and just want it to go away, it's giving me carpel tunnel in my hands. I am so happy to be able to carry my baby to term, but I am at the point where I just want him out!

GTKY: What last minute things do you still have to get done before baby arrives?
The nursery! Lol, we have made some progress, but with a bathroom remodel and guests at our house, DH and I haven't had time to work on it. We have everything, just need to set it up. But we have our bassinet in our room, and honestly, he will be sleeping in our room until he tries to climb out of the bassinet. Then it's crib time, so there is really no rush on the nursery, as we won't be using it much for a few months.

papaya. I have no idea how big those are. I tried to find one at the grocery store today, but no dice.

Appointments, anything going on this week?

GBS test this Thursday. I'm really hoping for a negative on this one because of my penicillin allergy. A positive would just add a layer of complication to the mix and I would have to go into the hospital sooner than if I could just take penicillin.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
I wish I had more room to eat!

Rants/Raves/Questions?
I sympathize with you all and the BH. It's near constant now; but, as long as they stay painless, it means I'm not in labor yet. And as much as I want this baby out, I need baby to stay in until I'm full term - simply because of when my childcare will be available!

GTKY: What last minute things do you still have to get done before baby arrives?
We have one more shower, next Sunday. There are a few other items we still need and I'm itching to just by them, but should wait to see if they get purchased. Namely a stroller and the second base for the car seat.

Monday appointment, probably just weight bp and heartbeat. These weekly appointments are quick.

It's starting to hurt when he moves. Running out of room means your supposed to come out, not stretch everything out further lol

omg I can't breathe, I can't eat, I'm miserable. Kid needs to be born.

hospital bag (still) needs packed, carseat needs installed, breast pump and all nursing accessories need bought. I'm such a slacker...

Nope, this will be my last appointment free week until after baby.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
At this point I'm just hoping my craving for sweets ends after I deliver. I was hoping once Halloween was behind us it may wane, but not so.

Rants/Raves/Questions?
Just thankful that this has been an uneventful pregnancy! I've been thinking more and more how it's a bit sad DD didn't get to be an only child for very long, but I am so excited for the potential great relationship she'll have with her sibling.

GTKY: What last minute things do you still have to get done before baby arrives?
It's a bit creepy how I could give the basically the same response as @beff12. No baby shower though, DD is only 17 mo. But the problem is we don't want to set too much up just to have to move it all so soon. LO will sleep in a RnP next to our bed, and just use the same changing table/glider/stroller/closet as DD. We are definitely moving, end of January.

Appointments, anything going on this week? just spent three hours in L&D. I've had contractions about 5 minutes apart, but only slightly uncomfortable, for two days now. They monitored me, had me walk the halls, checked again, and sent me home. My weekly appointment is on Monday.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? generally just tired and feeling large and out of room in my tummy!

Rants/Raves/Questions? these contractions are driving me crazy. I wish they would start doing something or stop!!

GTKY: What last minute things do you still have to get done before baby arrives? I think we're good to go, although DH has not put a car seat base in his car yet, which is the car he wants to drive to the hospital when its baby time.

@Lexibizzel eek! Nerve-wracking, right? We're still waiting for an answer from DH's potential new job before we know whether or not we are moving. If we do, it'll be within the first two weeks of January. I feel like we are insane but I know in the long run it'll be for the best. Good luck with everything! We are setting up our corner nursery today. Thank you, nesting.
