Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! I know we all have a lot to be thankful for this year! DH and I spent the weekend calling our friends and family to announce our pregnancy (which we decided we would do once I hit 12 weeks). It was so much fun listening to their reactions on the phone. Most of our family and close friends don't live near us, unfortunately.
Please introduce yourself (including your EDD and IF treatment history) if this is your first time joining us so that I can add you to the check-in!

Re: IF Check-in Week of 11/21
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Nausea has returned and food aversions are out of control. It's hard for me to find anything to eat suddenly.
3. When is your next appointment? 11/30 for next prenatal
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: Thanksgiving is just not the time for food aversions. I haven't been able to eat meat and DH makes the absolute BEST turkey ever, so this makes me sad. I'm really hoping I can eat meat again come Wednesday (when we are doing our friendsgiving). As of now the only Thanksgiving food that sounds appetizing is the potatoes... mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole.
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? Since I moved across the country I haven't been able to spend Thanksgiving with my family. It used to be when my grandmother would bring out all her homemade desserts. Since I've been with DH though and I've taken on a good chunk of the cooking each year... I would have to say my favorite part of the day is when all the food is finally made and I can just enjoy the company surrounding me. I enjoy the cooking part but it also stresses me out!
Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014
IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs
IVF ER (July 2016) = 7 PGS normal embryos
FET #1 (Sept 2016) = BFP! DD born 5/30/17
FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? I'm still super gassy and bloated. My skin has been crazy dry. I'm getting this thing at night where my legs itch SO BAD no matter how much I moisturize or anything else. I have no idea why and it's only at night really. I have a weird throbbing pain in my vagina that comes and goes. Still having food cravings/aversions. I've also been super emotional lately and I'm pretty sure my husband is starting to think I'm a crazy lady. At least the fatigue and nausea have eased up some.
3. When is your next appointment? Tomorrow. But tomorrow is really just to hear baby's heartbeat for reassurance while I wait on my next "real" appointment on December 7th.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: The other night my husband said something like "I'm really worried about you. You've been sleeping a lot lately. You seem really distracted and forgetful. And you're really moody and emotional. What's wrong?" And I'm like "uhhhh well I'm pregnant so... that might have something to do with it..." My husband clearly doesn't understand how pregnancy affects women. He seems to think I'm just super depressed or something and I'm not at all. It's just frustrating.
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? When I was younger it was probably the food. Or having a day or two off from school. But after college I moved 15 hours away from my family. Well, 15 hours away from my nearest family members and even further from others. Needless to say it's hard to see people now with the distance and now that my brothers and I have jobs and families and such. It's hard planning around so many work schedules etc. I only see my family 2-3 times a year if I'm lucky. So my favorite part of the holidays now is just getting to see people. I haven't seen my grandmother since last September. I haven't seen my favorite brother since April. Same with my dad. And I just freaking miss everyone. This thanksgiving my husband and I won't be able to make it out to see my family. So we're going to my in-laws for Thanksgiving since they only live 4 hours away. It'll be nice to see them also but I really wish I could have seen my family.

And I haven't really done well with meat lately either. I'm honestly having a really hard time getting protein in any form. Pretty much all my normal go-to foods have been total "no"s lately. Nuts, fish, chicken, eggs and so on. About my only source of protein lately has been cottage cheese and greek yogurt in smoothies. Oh and bacon. I'm not normally a bacon person but lately I've had some random cravings for pancakes and bacon. I'm also wondering how Thanksgiving is going to go with all the turkey and ham and such.
Hopefully meat aversions will ease up long enough for us to enjoy Thanksgiving!

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Food aversions... how I hate thee. Nausea hasn't been as bad and has improved over last week, but still comes in waves. I'm now at a point where I almost constantly need something in my stomach to keep nausea at bay. Fatigue isn't as bad either.
3. When is your next appointment? 12/2 - NT scan!
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm beyond words excited that Thanksgiving is here because the holiday marks the beginning of the holiday season! I LOVE this time of year and I'm so excited to decorate my house and get a Christmas tree. Slight rant... I've had crazy aversions to white meat and fish. This could seriously compromise my undying love for Thanksgiving turkey time. Luckily I am hosting so I can at least make some side dishes that my aversions won't puke at.
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? Oh I just love all the things. The nonstop eating, the crisp chill in the air (30s/40s... tis but a breeze here in New England), all day football, family, did I mention nonstop eating?.
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Holy hunger batman. The nausea was much better this weekend which was a welcome relief, but I can legitimately pinpoint the moment on Saturday afternoon when I went from nauseous to starving. I feel like I'm famished 20 minutes after I eat no matter what. And of course if I let it go then the nausea returns. It seems too early for this?
3. When is your next appointment? December 6th
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I am so excited it's almost Thanksgiving! I am just working today and tomorrow and then we're off to DH family. Was definitely kicking myself for not just taking the whole week when my alarm went off this morning.
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? Food! The turkey is honestly my least favorite part though. I like it but I would be perfectly happy to have a whole meal of Thanksgiving side dishes. Also can't wait for the Gilmore Girls release on Friday!
10 weeks
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week?
The nausea hasn't been too bad the past couple of days, but still bloating, gas, fatigue. Vag hurts randomly and hurts to have sex so boo to that. Occasional back pain.
3. When is your next appointment?
12/7
4. Rants/Raves/Questions:
I wish doctors would stop pushing us to do NIPT. I don't want to do any right now and I feel guilty about my choice since they keep asking me at every damn appointment.
Also, we got 8 inches of snow last night. And it's still snowing.
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day?
Stuffing/dressing, homemade cran sauce, and pecan pie.

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? literally still nothing at all other than extreme tiredness.
3. When is your next appointment? Dec 12th with my OB and our NT scan Dec 13th
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm still hung up on how close Christmas is. But I'm also starting to stress about things our house needs before baby gets here. We need about $5000 worth of work for carpets, a new door and electrical work in what will be the baby's room and all hubby can complain about is getting an Apple Watch for Christmas. Wtf?!
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? Other than stuffing my face with stuffing and mashed potatoes and green bean casserole, I look forward to just being with my family doing NOTHING. And then I am guilty of shopping thanksgiving night but I just love it.
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Tired. I was dealing with sore boobs but it seems to be dying down.
3. When is your next appointment? 11/28 for second OB appt & then 12/2 for NT scan
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm still pregnant & I've had no nausea or morning (all day) sickness
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? Just being lazy and eating lots of awesome food
@NamelessAria How weird, I've been having bacon cravings too, and I usually hate bacon! And because of my aversion to eggs I've been eating pancakes pretty frequently for breakfast. Always feel guilty though because of the lack of protein. Also, I'm sorry you can't be with your family on Thanksgiving. I feel the same way. We'll be with my in laws as well but it just isn't the same by any stretch of the imagination. I miss MY family!
@beckij34 I'm so envious of your lack of all the nausea!

Sorry I’ve been MIA! I had a work conference at the beach last week, and we decided to make it a mini-vacation.
1. How far along are you? 10 weeks 1 day
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Just fatigue and sore breasts. I’ve been pretty lucky so far in that I haven’t been sick. I do have an aversion to chicken, though.
3. When is your next appointment? Not until Dec 21
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: We got to see our baby yesterday at our first regular OB appointment and it was moving its little arm like it was waving to us. It was the cutest thing! We did an NIPT yesterday, so we should know sex next week!
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? I like watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the food! I’m starting to cook tonight and tomorrow will just be a full day of cooking.

@Elyse1384 I love this time of year, too! I put one of my trees up a couple of weekends ago, but I haven’t been able to decorate it, yet. It’s in a room that we can close off for Thanksgiving, but once the tree is decorated and lit, it will be visible from the road.
@ClaireCF I already told DH that Friday all I am doing is decorating and watching Gilmore Girls!

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? A lot of my symptoms are gone. Feeling very bloated these last few days and eating less. Still have mild cramps on and off.
3. When is your next appointment? Nov 30 (11 weeks)
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: It's still very surreal that I'm pregnant.
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? This question is too positive. I am being negative Nancy and could only think of my least favorite part of Thanksgiving.

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? sore boobs, constipation, and I think I may have a hemorrhoid. Not surprised, I had the same issue with DS.
3. When is your next appointment? 11/30 for NT scan and panorama screening. Excited to see baby again, make sure everything is okay, and learn the gender.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I have been over my husband's patrol schedule for awhile now but being pregnant adds a whole new layer. Two weekends a month, I get to wrangle our three year old solo and pregnancy, cold weather, and our little apartment aren't helping.
QOTW: What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving Day? Sadly, Thanksgiving isn't much of a holiday for us anymore. Our families live far away and travel at Christmas instead. DH works Thanksgiving most years, so he can have Christmas off. Tonight, DS and I took Thanksgiving dinner done to the police department, which was nice and this weekend we are buying furniture for our new house that we close on in December.
