How far along are you? 14 weeks!

How big is baby? The size of a troll doll

Appointments this week? Hypnobirthing class is Saturday. I'm starting early so I can practice often.

Symptoms? I felt less nausea at the start of the week, but it came back in all its glory Wednesday and has not let up.

Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm so excited to be officially out of the first trimester and in the second. Different sources have different times that start the second trimester, but by now, I'm definitely in it.

GTKY: In light of the approaching holiday season, do you have any new traditions you want to start for the holidays with this baby, or any new traditions you started with your first baby?
I want to watch Christmas movies as a family on Christmas Eve. I also want to go out on Christmas Eve to look at lights, which is something my husband and I started just the two of us. Outside of that, I think I'll let traditions naturally happen.

How big is baby? Jalapeno

Appointments this week? NT scan is on Monday! I'm excited/nervous.

Symptoms? My stomach is just...unsettled. Not exactly nausea, just can't eat much at a time and it takes a while to digest anything. Overall, feeling pretty good though..

Rant/Rave/Questions? My son turns one tomorrow (11/19), and at his 9 month appointment, I went ahead and made his one year check up appointment for 11/17 (a date they suggested). I had requested the time off work, scheduled people to cover me, it was all set. Well, on 11/15, the doctor called to tell me they couldn't see him on 11/17, since he won't get be one. I'm so annoyed. Why offer me that appointment then? Also, his appointment was about 30 hours before the time he was born and will officially be one. Sigh.

Anyways, pregnancy related question- for those of you who have had an NT scan, did you also get blood work done at the same time?

GTKY: In light of the approaching holiday season, do you have any new traditions you want to start for the holidays with this baby, or any new traditions you started with your first baby? I'm really happy this is the weekly question, because I've been struggling to think of something to start! Although this is technically my son's second Christmas, he was only a few weeks old last year. We always had cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning (my parents are usually annoyingly healthy eaters, so it was a big deal), so I'll probably continue that. Otherwise, I'll be checking out your ideas

Yesterday. All checked out well.

Symptoms?
cloudy urine in the morning, but doc said this is normal

Rant/Rave/Questions?
I wish DH would take more initiative to help with DS. Bedtime routine, bath, brush teeth, etc. I don't want DS to feel abandoned when I'm too big and/or after baby comes.

GTKY: In light of the approaching holiday season, do you have any new traditions you want to start for the holidays with this baby, or any new traditions you started with your first baby?
Easy. I want Christmas morning at home. Grandparents are more than welcome to join us for breakfast, but I want to enjoy Christmas morning at my home and with my family. We started this with DS last year and I hope to continue into a tradition.

How far along are you? 16 weeks

How big is baby? The size of an avocado or poire belle Helene (a poached pear drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with icecream)

Appointments this week? I saw the Dr on Tuesday (a week early) to see what we could do about my infection. Got to hear baby's heartbeat, yay!

Symptoms? Well at this moment I'm having some sharp aches on my left side. Both in the front and back, right at my waist line. No idea what that's about. Round ligament pain? It doesn't lead to the groin though...

Rant/Rave/Questions? YI's are the pits! Praying I don't get chronic ones. Seeing the bump grow is kind of awesome.

GTKY: In light of the approaching holiday season, do you have any new traditions you want to start for the holidays with this baby, or any new traditions you started with your first baby? Starting next year we will be having Christmas morning at our house. Family is welcome to come over, but I understand if they don't. I'd like to pick out an ornament for baby every year.

@nda_roxybabe. We get an ornament every year for DS. My MIL did the same for DH and now those ornaments hang on our tree. I think it's great.

How big is baby?: an orange/apple

Appointments this week?: Just had a quick check up today and everything looks great!

Symptoms?: BAD headaches

Rant/Rave/Questions?: The zofran is making a difference with the extreme nausea which is nice.

Symptoms? Exhaustion

GTKY: In light of the approaching holiday season, do you have any new traditions you want to start for the holidays with this baby, or any new traditions you started with your first baby?
We take DD to pick out an ornament every year. We go see a movie around Christmas. We do a Christmas Eve party with tons of appetizers and games and she opens one small gift (Christmas PJs). We drive around looking at lights. With being military we are always traveling, so we go with the flow for most of it.

I like the new ornament every year. I still have the one my mom and dad bought me for my first Christmas in 1988.

Symptoms? Still some random nausea and food aversions, fatigue, gagging

Rant/Rave/Questions? I wish maternity clothes weren't so expensive. Last time there was this amazing used maternity boutique open. It has since closed, and I'm having trouble bringing myself to pay full price.

GTKY: With DD we started the traditions of setting up the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving, buying an ornament at the state fair each year, and staying home Christmas morning.

Symptoms?
Not a whole lot. Forgot to take my diclectin for a day and a half and paid for it badly on Tuesday. Couldn't keep anything down. It was awful! Lesson learnt!

Rave: I feel like a crazy lady because I know it's early but I swear I feel little baby movements! Feels like a light little tickle from the inside and does not happen often

GTKY: In light of the approaching holiday season, do you have any new traditions you want to start for the holidays with this baby, or any new traditions you started with your first baby?
I was just talking to DH about this last night. I want to start a tradition of getting matching Christmas pjs for everyone on Christmas Eve. I plan on keeping other traditions alive as well, such as leaving cookies and milk out for santa and a carrot for the reindeer and having a chocolate advent calendar.
Eta: Oh and I want a family picture of all of us in the matching pjs! I think it's so corny and yet so, so awesome!

Symptoms?
I am still having dizzy spells and I can not stop eating anything and everything.

So, my in laws would like to buy us a crib for Christmas and have asked me to send them the ones I like. Any suggestions? I keep going down a long rabbit hole trying to find one.

I love everyone's responses so far! We have been doing a Christmas ornament exchange every year so I will continue that. And then I think we will try to come up with something special to do on Christmas eve/morning.

How big is baby? The size of a peach/lemon

Appointments this week? Nothing this week! Last week we had our last appointment with our fertility clinic, our next appointment is with our midwife on the 1st of December.

Symptoms? Still getting sick some mornings but I'm less nauseous, I'm getting my energy back, finally got a bit of a bump, and still feeling crampy now and then.

Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm just super excited for our first Christmas with our little bump!

GTKY: In light of the approaching holiday season, do you have any new traditions you want to start for the holidays with this baby, or any new traditions you started with your first baby? Opening one gift on Christmas Eve, having a Christmas morning with just our family, watching It's A Wonderful Life, and making gingerbread men together!

@clebl24 lurking from Thursday ticker change but I noticed your symptom of cloudy urine in the morning...I thought I was going crazy but, I am glad to hear it's nothing to worry about.
