    How far along are you ? 23 weeks!

    How big is baby? Bigger than last week, lol.

    Upcoming appointments this week? Not until the 2nd

    Any new symptoms or changes? Totally gained 1.5 pounds yesterday. Like in one day lol. I'm still only up to 9 pounds total so im not too worried about it :) 

    Rants/Raves/Questions? Loving feeling this baby move all the time, even thigh I have an anterior placenta. She's a strong kicker and moves way more than ds did. 

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything? SAHM, hands down. Selling curriculum materials and tests working remotely.

    How far along are you ? 23 weeks

    How big is baby? The size of a grapefruit  11.3 inches 1.10 lbs

    Upcoming appointments this week? No, none till the 30th

    Any new symptoms or changes? Not really, movements are getting stronger and more frequent. Really starting to "feel" pregnant in this last week

    Rants/Raves/Questions? DH gets freaked out by the baby moving, which I'm finding frustrating. It's what makes me feel most connected with LO and I want him to feel connected to. BUT finally bought a maternity pillow. BEST. PURCHASE. EVER. Slept so great last night  

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything? I would totally run a Doggy daycare business. I just want to play with dogs all day.

    @npaulie Thanks for starting! Love the dance moves ;) I really do think every week: "wait, whuuut? It's already been another week!?" Seems like just yesterday I was checking in on Ticker Change in the single digits!

    How far along are you? 27 crazy weeks!?! Some consider it third Tri!!! So I'm totally counting it!

    How big is baby? Baby is around 15in, and now over 2lbs! Ovia says bunch of bananas and second viability milestone of stronger lungs that will breath on their own!

    Upcoming appointments this week? Nope-following week for glucose test and birth center tour!

    Any new symptoms or changes? Actually been feeling better this week ((less sore, tired, and hormonal)) overall less pregnant!  hoping this "good" phase lasts all of third Tri!

    Rants/Raves/Questions? I went Christmas shopping today with my sister and mom, and we ended up in stores that are more ---> shop for yourself clothing stores. Instead of the ----> shop for others stuff stores.  I found myself wishing it was spring, having had this baby, loosing a few of the extra pounds, and getting to go shopping for some new clothes!  

    I'm not usually a shopper AT ALL.  But once I've finished nursing this baby, it'll be like four straight years I've either been pregnant or constantly nursing and both of those things have dictated my wardrobe. I'm ready to dress myself the way I want! Without having to factor in a bump and weight gain, or the ability to access my boobs! Mehhh ....you watch, I'll just be preggo again soon after and start the vicious cycle all over again. ;) good thing these kiddos are so worth it. 

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything? If I could create any job, I would be paid to do jigsaw puzzles. I'm a puzzle addict and can do a thousand piece puzzle easy peasy in an hour or two.  I've actually done a couple turned upside down with only the blank brown showing when I need a challenge ...."for fun" haha. 

    More seriously--id love to sah with my babes during the day and act on broadway at night. I did act before DD, but never any big time paying gigs.

    How big is baby? head of cauliflower, and something like 1.5lbs

    Upcoming appointments this week? No, but I scheduled a few

    Any new symptoms or changes? I've been feeling A LOT more tired this week, like I can sleep 10 hours, go to bed early at night, and not feel rested the next day.

    Rants/Raves/Questions? I've said it before and I'll say it again. Pelvic rest really sucks. I miss my husband. And 2nd trimester is when I'm supposed to be enjoying all that. Better safe than sorry though...

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything? SAHM in heartbeat.

    How big is baby? size of a grapefruit

    Upcoming appointments this week? No, I had one last week. My next one is  at 26 weeks on 12/6 where I'll have to do the glucose test. This is a new office that I am going to and they gave me the stuff to drink ahead of time so that I can just  drink it before I head in to the office and have my bllod drawn and not wait. The stuff they gave me was clear and who knows what it will taste like which I'm not looking forward to. At my old office it used to be orange or grape flavored.

    Any new symptoms or changes? No new symptoms.

    Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm loving feeling the baby move. trying to enjoy it as this will be my last pregnancy.

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything?

    I honestly love what I do which is nursing and I really cant think of anything else I would rather do. I sometimes wish that I could be a SAHM but I know that I would miss my work life. The idea of working in a business where I could travel sounds nice but then I would just miss my kids too much.

    Upcoming appointments this week? Just a normal appointment with my midwife on Wednesday. 

    Any new symptoms or changes? Some days I feel pretty normal but sometimes my hips are achey. I'm not really sure what causes it (other than being pregnant:)

    Rants/Raves/Questions? We just got back from our anniversary trip. We had a great time but it's good to be back home. DS was so excited to see us which made my mommy heart happy. 

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything? I'm a SAHM and love it. But I also think it would be cool to be a forensic scientist.

    @Phil413 I'm sorry you're still on pelvic rest :( previa related, yes? When do you get checked again? 

    @lilies5/28/06 yay! Glad you figured it out! FWIW, think its a common confusion.  That's so nice they let you drink it at home-that's what I had the first time around, makes more sense to me than waiting around, but ah well.

    How big is baby? Size of a guinea pig

    Upcoming appointments this week? None until Dec

    Any new symptoms or changes? Not really. Feeling full quicker, but everything's pretty ok.

    Rants/Raves/Questions? Excited for Thanksgiving this week!

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything? Something with singing. Would love to stay home with lo, but would love to make some money singing part time too.


    @Phil413 - I'm right there with you on the pelvic rest - previa related too. They aren't checking mine again until 32 weeks, which is the end of January!! Good luck on your appt.

    Any new symptoms or changes? I have some uterine irritability which is unpleasant to say the least. I'm also struggling not to wet myself half the day. I will not miss that! 

    Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave- it's Thanksgiving this week!!! I'm seriously going to eat my weight in delicious food. 

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything? I love staying at home. If I really had to choose something, it would be in the humanitarian/philanthropy field.

    How big is baby? 11.8" according to generic bump email... 

    Upcoming appointments this week? Does my date with a Thanksgiving turkey count? 

    Any new symptoms or changes? Thought my heartburn was gone, but nope. 

    Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone else about to get serious about baby furniture shopping? I have some people telling me it's so early for that, and some people who basically staged an intervention and told me to get on baby supply shopping ASAP... mostly I'm so ready for some Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales on the big ticket stuff! 

    GTKY: If you didn't work in the job you have now, what would you do if you could do anything? I'm staying at home now, and am super happy about it. My next do anything is SAHM :) after that I'd go back to arts management, which I loved and worked in for years until I got pregnant.

    @ElleB11 Maybe relaxin causes achy hips? My pregnancy pillow helps a little with that.

    @longliveregina That's kind of my thought. Although my mom said her hips started bothering her when she was pregnant and they still do if she sleeps on a not so great mattress. I don't have a pregnancy pillow but I was putting a pillow between my legs while sleeping and it helped it's just bulky and hard to deal with when I toss and turn at night.

    @elleb11 and @longliveregina my midwife said your hips get achy because your pelvis is unstable with all the extra relaxin going through your body. Because of that your hip muscles are on overdrive trying to keep the pelvis in place. The pillow between the knees definitely helps me when I sleep. I broke down and bought a used maternity pillow, because it can stay in place and support me on both sides when I roll over without having to take the pillow with me. It also keeps me from sleeping on my back. Hip flexor stretches also help a lot with achy hips.
