Hey y'all! I thought maybe it would be fun to have a holiday recipes thread? I posted something in randoms about needing a few and thought they might be easier for ALL to access if there was a thread for it?
Anywho, if you have a recipe you love please post! I love trying new sides for the holidays!!
Re: Recipes for the Holidays!
Ingredients
1 8oz. package of cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 15 oz can of pumpkin
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice (or make your own... we just use premade mix)
2 cups cool whip
- Mix together cream cheese and powdered sugar,
- Add in pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice
- Fold in cool whip.
- Serve with ginger snaps, graham crackers or apple slices - we have done all of these and I prefer apples, husband prefers graham cracker dippers, and FIL liked ginger snaps. It's really good with all 3 options!
Super easy! It took me maybe 5 minutes to make this and it was a huge hit. Also the day after we ate it, I went into labor, so there's thatRosemary Roasted Potatoes
2 T extra virgin olive oil
3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 t sea salt
2 T fresh rosemary, minced
pepper to taste
2 lb red potatoes, quartered
1. Preheat oven to 400
2. Put everything in a bowl. Toss making sure potatoes are well-coated.
3. Dump on a foil lined rimmed baking sheet. Spread out so they only make a layer.
4. Roast in oven for at least an hour, or until browned and crisp. Flip twice while cooking to ensure even browning.
