Friday Night Drinking and Chat Thread

It's Friday night!!!!! (At least here on the east coast) Whatcha drinking/eating/watching/reading tonight?

I am gonna be home in about an hour and I am gonna have the largest glass of Rioja. I think my husband is gonna watch the latest episode of Westworld that he missed while on a business trip, so I will be cruising the internet (aka shamefully googling symptoms and reading celebrity gossip).

  • This is fun! It's only 3pm where I am and I'm technically still working (I work from home Fridays!) but I'm already in a robe with a glass of wine. DH and I are doing date night for just the two of us tonight before all the holiday craziness begins!

  • @adirat ugh, I'm so frustrated for you about the MRI. What a load of crap. It seems there's been an epidemic of insurance/doctor's offices/labs royally effing up stuff lately.

You deserve to enjoy all the wine, cheese, and BD tonight!
  • @chefRamsay I absolutely love You're the Worst!

  • @ChefRamsay oh man, I haven't had Hendricks in so long. Enjoy!
I am slightly torn. I have a bottle of pinot grigio that I was going to drink, but there is a bottle of Apothic Inferno that I was going to save for thanksgiving calling my name.

  • @Pinky517 I tried Apothic Inferno last weekend for the first time and it was great! Highly recommended.

@Redbreast35 No way, get it girl!

  • @purplg8r margarita sounds fantastic! I vote DO IT!

@ChefRamsay I definitely approve of the fuck it attitude, but drinking "as much as I can" generally has terrible consequenses   ;)

Glad to see I'm not the only one planning to drink (and eat) my feelings tonight.  <3

  • @RedBreast35 My 'as much as I can' is usually 2-3 drinks before I fall asleep lol

  • @purplg8r; margs are always a fantastic choice!

Im currently drinking a glass of homemade white wine and it's....ok. I'm definitely glad we were only gifted 1 bottle.
  • @hartmich dammit, now I want mac n cheese! I need some soulfood

@adirat sorry about the MRI. That effing sucks, theres no way around that. I think I remember you being in/around NYC- any other places (Westchester, LI, CT, Jerz) that you could get it done sooner?

    @RedBreast35 no shame from me!

@NYTino24 OMG YOUR HUSBAND IS THE GREATEST

  • Admittedly I really want to open a bottle of wine. But I am in my TWW so I think I probably shouldn't...but I am going to whine about how I want to. So I'll eat chocolate (anyone here know what a Coffee Crisp is? I have had one sitting in the fridge since my last trip to Canada and it's calling my name tonight) instead and catch up on "This is US"

  • @kiwi2628 Thanks, unfortunately availability isn't the issue -- I need to have the MRI done during the follicular phase and even if I got my doctor's office in order on Monday (which, I doubt it) on Tuesday I'd be cd12 which is later than my doctor wants. I'll be waiting until next cycle.

@jess0211 I promise it is OK to have a glass of wine during TWW :) Also I'm not sure where you are, but here in NY, you can get Coffee Crisp at Stop & Shop!

I have to say, I feel like I am in great company tonight! Love you ladies!

  • @adirat That gif is so damn adorable!!

  • @adirat where in NY are you?! (I understand if you don't want to share!) I am originally from NY and I miss being able to get them at the gas station down the road! We don't have them in PA or MD :(

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @jess0211 We live in Long Island. I can't imagine the NY and PA Stop & Shops would carry different candy...

  • @adirat I am in southern PA... it's probably too south. But I grew up right on the Canadian border and we had coffee crisps in all the local stores. Now I only get them when I travel :(

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @adirat sorry about the timing. That sucks.

I can't decide what to do for dinner. I have left over baked potato/cauliflower soup, or I can make some pork steamed dumplings with a soy sauce/rice vinegar sauce, orrrrrr I can make my husband pick up some soul food. I should eat left overs to get rid of them, but mac n cheese and fried chicken are calling my name, but they are so unhealthy. UGH. First world problems.
  • Meritage wine and hockey! Hopefully Netflix in a bit and maybe some ice cream. :)
