    How far along are you? 16 weeks

    How big is baby? Avocado. Feels and looks bigger. 

    Appointments this week? Had one on Monday. Heard the heartbeat and probably spent about 3 minutes with the doc and scheduled the anatomy scan. Time is flying right now!

    Symptoms? Headaches come and go. Looking very large and feeling baby officially as of yesterday! My fav part of pregnancy!

    Rant/Rave/Questions? I'll rave about my almost 4 year old. He is amazing. His attitude is unreal and his heart is huge. I cannot get over how just plain cool he is. Having 3 boys makes my heart so happy. 

    GTKY: my mom complains about hosting every year. But our place is too small and my sister hosts Christmas. So she's stuck with it for now. I help her cook and my fav tradition is when all the girls blast frank Sinatra after dinner and clean up. Also we celebrate my oldests bday that day too so that's fun.

    How far along are you? 13 weeks

    How big is baby? The size of a lemon. 

    Appointments this week? We had our NT scan on Tuesday. 

    Symptoms? Still feeling pretty nauseous and tired. I think this is just going to be my new normal until May. 

    Rant/Rave/Questions? Like I said we had our NT scan on Tuesday. Baby looks great, but they think I may have placenta previa (I posted in another thread about this). I'm trying to do research but not freak my self out. It can correct itself and I may end up not having it at all. We will find out more at 18 weeks. 

    GTKY: Any Thanksgiving traditions? Love them or hate them? We don't really have Thanksgiving traditions other than going to the movies. Our holidays have become much different over the years since my aunt and uncle got divorced.

    Appointments this week? Nope, next Monday

    Symptoms? A lot of the same from previous weeks, but the nausea's finally getting better, thank god.

    Rant/Rave/Questions? Nada

    GTKY:  Is it just me, or is this the same GTKY from a couple weeks ago? My family just tries to be in one place. We're heading to my sister's house in Pittsburgh, PA this year.

    Appointments this week? had one today, all is well so far - heard heartbeat for the 2nd time :)

    Symptoms? doing better - still have protein aversion, but that might last a long time.  A little heartburn has been creeping in from time to time

    Rant/Rave/Questions? not too much 

    GTKY: Any Thanksgiving traditions? Love them or hate them? eating out at a hotel with H's family, going black Friday shopping, putting up the Christmas decorations at the in-laws the next day.. forget about our own decorations!  Sometimes I'd like to put more emphasis on just our own immediate family but I'm not ready to host a Thanksgiving dinner for other people so I guess I'll just deal with it.

    How big is baby? A matchbox car

    Appointments this week? Nope. None between 10-16 weeks. 

    Symptoms? Food aversions are obnoxiously strong as always but these headaches can fuck right off

    Rant/Rave/Questions? Older kid related: My barely 2 year old is probably ready to potty train. He asks to go potty multiple times a day (and often does, he's excellent about poop) but I wasn't planning on it until 2.5 or so which means I'm dragging my feet and don't know what to do. Whoops. 

    GTKY: Any Thanksgiving traditions? Love them or hate them? We have been doing Thanksgiving just my husband and I for years since he always has to work. This will be our first year home as a family of three (I don't count the one when he was 3 weeks old!) since husband was deployed last year. Kind of winging it.

    Symptoms? Nausea is back, dreadful headaches, dizziness, complete exhaustion, and pregnancy brain. 

    Rant/Rave/Questions?  I feel like I'm knocking on 2nd trimester door but I feel like I'm 6 weeks again.

    GTKY: Any Thanksgiving traditions? Love them or hate them?  Just eating with family.  Hate them.  I am volunteering to work at my second job so I don't have to spend the day with my family.

    Symptoms? Headaches and a very achy body

    Rant/Rave/Questions? My DH has been a saint. I've been horrendous so major props to him. ;) 

    GTKY: Any Thanksgiving traditions? Love them or hate them? We fly cross country to Chicago where DH is from and spend it with his family. I love spending time where he grew up and going the weekend after Thanksgiving to look at all the Christmas lights and decor in the city. I'm mostly looking forward to the food because mashed potatoes are my favorite thing right now.
