How far along are you?

37 weeks! (Hoping for 4 more weeks though... I'm super not ready for this baby to come!)

How big is baby?

A head of romaine lettuce, Swiss chard, a half a medium pizza, an 80's brick phone

Appointments, anything going on this week?

I have a 37 week appointment tomorrow. It should be quick and easy except it is with a different OB at my doctors practice so who knows.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?

I'm mostly just uncomfortable, between getting a heavier and heavier belly and being constipated, I'm generally just feeling ugh...

Rants/Raves/Questions?

My team at work is going curling today... should be a fun adventure. I'm currently debating about whether I should go on the ice at all... I'm pretty clumsy and I don't really want to send another day sitting in L&D because of falling on my belly.

GTKY: What kitchen appliance do you use every day?
My Keurig coffee maker gets used every day because I can barely function without my coffee. I also use the microwave at work pretty much every day.

Appointments, anything going on this week?

Just had my 37 week appt today. 1.5-2cm dilated (was 1 last week) and 60% effaced. I've been contracting all morning so it's nice to know they're doing something. Tested positive for GBS so that's annoying but not a huge deal.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? contractions on and off every day, not able to eat much, out of breath a lot, heartburn, super moody, exhausted. I'm sure there's more but those are the main issues. lol

Rants/Raves/Questions? Get this baby out of meeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

GTKY: What kitchen appliance do you use every day? Microwave and stove. I make a lot of food for my kids, all day long. With little ones it seems like they always need to eat. lol

Appointments, anything going on this week?
I had my 37 week appt. yesterday. Baby girl looks good. I am 1cm dilated (from closed cervix last week) and she is engaged (feeling it since Sat). GBS negative.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
I have been craving fast food and sweets-so bad! I will try to do better, but have been awful for the past week or so.

Rants/Raves/Questions?

Is there some sort of average timeframe for labor progression ( I know everyone is different), like once you are 1/2cm to go on to 3/4/5 etc..my doctor said she will likely come around her due date, which means probably 1cm per week? Is that accurate or impossible to know...

@queenklau Super impossible to know! You can walk around at 3cm for weeks or you could go from 0cm to holding a baby in hours. Every labor is different.

Little. And that's just fine.

Appointments, anything going on this week?

No OB this week. Met with a pediatrician yesterday. Eh about them. Appointment was at 4:20 and we didn't get taken back until after 5. They let us know they were running behind, but it's hard to know if that's normal for them or not. Going to check out another place soon.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?

Nothing real specific. Hungry often but can't each much at a time without feeling like my stomach took over all lung space.

Rants/Raves/Questions?

Our last shower is this weekend. From stalking my registry, I'm pretty sure we'll have everything I wanted to have before he arrived. May use our completions discounts on some of the pricier items like bouncers and such for when he's a bit bigger. But so nice to know we'll be ready. And super grateful for all our family doing so much for us.

GTKY: What kitchen appliance do you use every day?
Does the fridge count? Not sure anything else gets used daily. Maybe the toaster oven?

Appointments, anything going on this week?

35 week appointment today. They couldn't get me in at 36 and Dr. didn't want to wait until 37 incase I go early. I'm getting the GSB test today and they are doing an ultrasound to check size and position.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?

Cereal. Dh has been laughing, I am not a cereal person but in the last 2 weeks I've eaten cereal almost daily.

Not today.

Meeting our pediatrician tomorrow, have heard great things so I'm excited to talk to her.
I also have a facial and nail appt tomorrow... figured since I'm taking the day off..

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?

I am craving milk and calcium. It's weird since I usually have almond milk but the last week I've had cow milk with cereal and have been drinking it.

Appointments, anything going on this week?

I had my 37 week appointment on Tuesday. GSB test from last week came back negative. Cervix is softening, but not really dilating yet (doc said barely a fingertip). Next appointment is next Monday afternoon, where I'm hoping for minimal changes, since I'd like for baby girl to stay put until after Thanksgiving weekend

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?

I'm feeling pretty decent, actually. I get tired easily (obviously) and the watermelon on my front is making my lower back hurt. It nearly impossible to put shoes and socks on and I'm running to the bathroom every 45 minutes. Hoping to stay the course through next weekend!

Rants/Raves/Questions?

Finally packed my hospital bag this week because DH was getting stressed that it wasn't done. We have finishing touches needed in the nursery and he needs to install the car seat here soon, but we can definitely function whenever baby girl arrives.

GTKY: What kitchen appliance do you use every day?
My toaster. For the last 4 months, I've had an english muffin with peanut butter and raspberry jelly for breakfast. I love it and will completely miss it when I start trying to shed some baby weight!
