Baby Clothes!

Hi Everyone!!  So, I recently discovered my local Hanna Anderson store and have absolutely fallen in love with their clothes and I wonder...What is everyone else's favorite brand of baby clothes or place to buy baby clothes?  I find that as my LO gets older the options get better and better.  My daycare provider tells me that she hasn't seen clothes before like what I put on my LO, but I do not think that I go anywhere too special...

Let hear 'em ladies!  :)

Re: Baby Clothes!

  • I haven't bought any clothes yet for LO, our family and friends have been so generous and we're still in 3 month clothes : ) plus in this heat, less is more ; )

Lucky you! That's awesome. My LO came early and was so tiny that all the clothes we received for our shower were too big!  My DH was on his own picking out some new clothes just so we could bring the baby home in something other than his hospital sleep sack. lol
  • Honestly I've been all about Carters! The stuff is so cute and so cheap! Plus LO is growing like a weed (not to mention pooping 8-10x/day still) so I don't want to spend a lot right now.

Once she's a little bigger I can't wait to put her in stuff that will last longer :)

  • I got four huge garbage bags of clothes from a friend so I'm good through 12 months altho he's only 2 and already in 3-6. Otherwise grandma abs grandpa gave been doing Oshkosh and carters. I'm excited for h&m when he's a little bigger

  • The Carter's stuff fits my son the best. He's a little string bean-- not too pudgy and very long. Their 3 size onesies fit him perfectly. I love the Janie and Jack stuff too, but it's more than I want to spend, so I'll just enjoy the gifted items!
  • My sister had twins two years ago and a friend just gave me all her two daughters' clothes.  I'm set forever.  I do love Carter's though.  They fit the best and are my favorite style.

We have a ton of stuff from our first and it matches up by seasons for the most part, so we barely need to buy anything new.  I love Jumping Beans at Kohls and Gymboree clothes.  I also buy a lot of Carters and Circo of course because they are cheap and mostly cute.  I just don't like the ones that say "Mommy's/Daddy's little whatever", which Carters does a lot.

  • Cole fits best in Carters because they seem to run long.  Koala runs small for us (he fits 6 month).  Pants though... I have yet to find good fitting pants/shorts for him.
  • Sam is incredibly long (25.5 inches at his 2 month appt), but fairly skinny. The long skinny onesies are best.

@kaitielynnrichardson I agree, pants and shorts are tough. The 3-6 month are so big around his waist, but the 0-3 are too short.

Does anyone one else find that the clothes shrink? Or is it just because Sam is growing so fast? He moved into 3-6m sleepers a few weeks ago and I'm already find they are getting tight in the length.

  • We haven't really bought much since my parents keep sending us tons of clothes. Can't complain!! We have picked up a couple of things from Zara and a store here called Orchestra. They sell a lot of brands from the UK so I'm not really familiar with the exact ones. I do love the clothes by Carter and honestly, he's been in a lot of plain ole Gerber onesies too.

    This exactly!!

  • Carter's really does have great variety and price.  I would say that 80% of his clothes we get from there and the quality and fit are spot on as well.

I save the nice stuff for when family comes over or we make a short trip somewhere.  Before he came along I said I would never let him go out in just a onesie.  He should always have pants!  Well needless to say that was a crazy idea... Pants are hard!  I have switched to having him wear sleepers a lot.

Has anyone tried the dress-like sleepers where they are open at the bottom? I have tried a couple times and haven't successfully gotten them on all the way. I feel like I am going to break him just trying to get the bottom all the way down over everything and then figure out the arms... Oh well.

Also... What does everyone plan to do with the clothes are your LOs grow out of them?  I am saving them for my little sister who hopes to start trying next year for a baby.
  • I love the "bag" pjs that are open on the bottom!!  Makes it sooooo easy to change diapers in the MOTN. I have about 6 of them. Haha.  As for the clothes he has already outgrown, I have given them to my boss at work since his wife is having a boy in October (they have 3 girls).
  • I have 2 vacuum bags that I've got all our baby clothes in, one with sizes too big and one for too small that I'll eventually fill with the pile I have. We'll be having more kids eventually, so I don't see the point in handing them off just yet.

I'm in love with the burt's bees sleepers that snap down both legs. So much easier than the ones that only open down one side.

Damien is wearing 3-6 months or flat out 6 months and a size 2 diaper. I love OshKosh and Carter's and we have a store here called Souris Mini. They have cute clothes but are kinda pricey so I don't buy there often.
  • LO is still in 0-3 months even though he's 5 1/2 months. He's likely hit 16lbs and 26 some inches.
We do mainly Carters because they have sales very often and the stuff is not so expensive. There's not too many options at his age, but then again, it's a boy so, not much beyond tees and polos.
