Not much going on for me now...just the dreaded TWW. I had a dream last night that I got a BFP, not the first time I've had that particular dream, lol.
QOTW: I'd love to go back to college and just take classes indefinitely, but unfortunately I require money to live and am not a fan of crippling debt. lol. What can I say, I love to learn.
Thanks for the shoutout! I don't have an official dx but AMH level suggests DOR and I'm AMA.
This is month/ cycle 7 and I am 7 DPO; 8 DP IUI Beta is Monday 11/14
I'd love to quit my job and play with my dog all day, but unfortunately I'm an adult.

Thanks for the shoutout! I buried a lot of my info in my intro (which I wrote on a CD3 or something, so pretty emotional...). I've updated my signature.
CD15 (of 13) for me, so I am feeling good. Hopeful - I am trying to let myself enjoy the hope, as opposed to telling myself that I will soon be crushed by the inevitable disappointment of CD1. I'm also trying my best not to freak, because while my ridiculously overpriced Clearblue advanced fertility monitor has been showing that I've had an estrogen surge for the past 48 hours, I haven't seen a subsequent LH surge. Gah! (I'm hoping I just missed testing for it during the right window, or that it hasn't started yet.)
In a somewhat predictable development, DH mentioned the other night that he is "not ready" for an IUI, which lead to a heated discussion, because I am more than ready - I'd even say I'm ready enough for both of us. I am thinking of proceeding as planned despite his doubts, with the hope that he comes around by the necessary date (our usual MO). Twins actually run in my family, so DH has been afraid of a multiple pregnancy since we started dating, despite our recent IF struggles. The IUI completely freaks him out - he is convinced we will have more than one baby. I don't see the problem at all - I'd be happy with anything.
So, I dunno. I'm going to keep moving forward.
QOTW: I'd love to eat my way around the world (lately, I've had "pastas of Italy" on the brain), but unfortunately I have to wait... likely a really long time. (I am also thinking of "croissants of Paris" and "noodles of the Orient". "Tacos of Southern California", "Enchiladas of Mexico", "Seafood of New Orleans" - you get the idea...)
@GoldenKeys thanks, I'm still super bummed that it happened but in some ways I'm starting to feel a little better.
I think I'm starting to finish up with my bleeding but I thought that before and took out a pair of jeans (sorry TMI) so who knows. We go Monday to see if my HCG is back to zero and once it is the RE is going to order labs for reoccurring miscarriage testing since this is my second since July. I'm still struggling emotionally and mentally with everything and especially friends of mine who are currently pregnant and who are announcing they are pregnant. I'm ashamed to say it but I feel like I can't see any of them anymore. I'm hoping that feeling passes. Sorry to be a downer....

Argh, I'm sorry @Worldtravler0522. I wouldn't be ashamed at all - of feeling like you can't see those people. I haven't been through half of what you've been through, and I've already started avoiding certain people. The other night, I avoided a party because I knew I would run into a pregnant friend there, and would hear about her morning sickness, etc. I'm happy for her, but my grief is so close to the surface, and I don't want to start crying or to explain.
Some people who haven't had to try so hard, I'll hear them say things like: "we hope it's a girl" or: "we want a February birthday", and I want to snap at them that they're bad parents. How could someone have the audacity to want their baby to be a certain way?! Why don't they just want whatever baby they get and be grateful and loving? Makes me so mad.
@hoffmanr7 - right now, all I am doing is "leftover halloween candy of discount supermarket".
@Worldtravler0522 It's ok to give yourself grace with the feelings you're having. It's understandable to not want to see those friends right now; you are hurting and it's ok to protect your heart. I'm sure it will get better with time, but I can't even imagine how much pain you are feeling right now. Take care of your heart, and give yourself some grace

Reposting from last week's check-in because I posted really late!
@Worldtravler0522 I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. We're all here for support!
I've been out of touch for a couple months after IVF/ICSI #3 didn't work with 2 beautiful day-3 embryos. We were pretty shocked that it failed. However, since we had 5 frozen embies, we decided to go forward right away with our FET to be done before any scheduling conflicts with the holidays. I've been pretty silent about it hoping that it would help with my obsession over every tiny detail! So much for that now!
Anyway, I was on lupron to quiet my ovaries for a few weeks in October, then started Estrogen to plump up my lining. By Nov 2, we were ready and had the FET done. The big surprise was that with the way the embryos were stored and thawed and survived, we ended up with THREE growing embryos ready for transfer rather than two. Made the hard decision to transfer all three (despite the risk of triplets and/or having to do a selective reduction later). So tonight I'm 7dp3dt and in the middle of the miserable tww.
Not sure how I feel about it this time. A big part of me feels like I will never be pg.... even with 60+% chance of statistical success this time around. If it doesn't work, then we're all out of embryos (2 of our remaining 5 didn't survive the thaw), so we'd be back to square one!
For now, we wait. Another few days before I'll even try to POAS. Can't stand the thought of seeing only one line.
(Trigger warning!!!) To top it off, one of my very good friends who is also going through IF, found out she had an ectopic pregnancy the day before my FET, and she lost a tube and was rushed for emergency surgery. Really hard time to be grieving with my friend and trying to find a shred of hope for me! What's good though is the genuine support you build with friends having IF... we cry together and we share joy together.
@Worldtravler0522 It's ok to give yourself grace with the feelings you're having. It's understandable to not want to see those friends right now; you are hurting and it's ok to protect your heart. Thank you! I have been struggling with guilt over my feelings so this was nice to read. I'm hoping things get better soon.

Good morning ladies! After a little bump break to clear my head I'm back
1) We just passed the three year mark TTC and it really hit me hard. But we went to our first RE appt on Monday and now I feel better that we at least have somewhat of a plan that doesn't start until after the holidays so I can relax and try to enjoy them.
2) Our dx is Unexplained. The dreaded "everything looks great" but nothing is working. I'm currently WTO, CD13. I usually O btwn 18-20.
QOTW: I'd love to take a vacation but all our money will be going into savings for IVF. **On a related note... How do ppl afford IVF totally OOP?!? Our insurance covers the diagnostics but none of the treatment. Dh said well we just won't be paying for their college, I'm thinking or their diapers or their clothes...we are gonna be sooo broke, yikes. But a baby will totally be worth it, just gotta have faith that God will provide.
DH - 34, Me - 32 Married 7/13 TTC #1 since 10/13 BFP 2/4/15, MC twin boys at 18w3d 5/15 IUI #1 2/25/16
Thinking good thoughts for those of you who are struggling out there.
TWW for me, hoping that first IUI treatment does the trick. Just have a progesterone check Saturday and then even more waiting.
QOTW: I love would love to change my career, but unfortunately, that dream job just isn't there yet. Luckily, I have been working enough to pay down bills and start saving more.
quick check in from me today - I got a positive OPK earlier this week from my higher dose of letrozole which I'm taking as a good sign. Just waiting for the confirmation of 3 high temps to show I O'd!
Feeling more optimistic this month.
good luck to everyone this cycle
Married since 2011 TTC since Oct 2014 DOR + MFI 3 failed IUIs; IVF August 2017
Nothing going on here. DH started Clomid this week to improve his motility. He goes back in a month for a blood test to see if it's having an impact. We largely missed my FW this cycle and O was on Election Day, I think. I'm too depressed about the election to care.
@Worldtravler0522so sorry for yet another loss for you, what a blow. I agree that you should take time to really feel your grief. There's no shame in that at all.
After our second IUI failed and two close friends announced they were pg I kind of lost it. I've held it together until now, but I think all of that plus my OB saying the next step is IVF kind of got to me. I needed a break, so I've been MIA from the bump for a few weeks.
Currently we are 6dpo (a guess based on O pains and my like-clockwork cycle), with terrible timing, and no OPK or anything this month. I kind of took a break from everything this time. Really just biding our time till Dec 15 when we meet with RE to plan IVF.
@SoonToBeMommaHowe i have no idea how some people afford multiple rounds of IVF. We can afford exactly one, and even that is going to kill our savings (which we only had because I sold my house earlier in the year). Although my friends who are newly pg have both told me they have zero savings.....so I guess it's good that they were able to get KU on their own.

TTC #2 since July 2018 May 2019 IVF #2: BFP! (beta#1 346, beta#2 646) - vanishing twin at 8 weeks. Baby B still going strong - due 2/8/20!
I couldn't help myself and took a home pregnancy test yesterday. It was a BFN, followed by a meltdown. I didn't really expect a positive result, but it signified the end of our 4 month trial of medications. I had been so hopeful in the beginning that either the Clomid or the Letrozole would work. Now it's time to just wait for AF and bite the bullet and have the HSG done. The 4 months of meds have at least given DH and I the time to save up for it. I figure I've got roughly half the cost saved up.
I am also thinking I am going to start looking at alternative treatments, i.e. natural treatments. My sister-in-law goes to see a nutritionist who apparently also specializes in infertility. I figure it can't hurt, even if we decided to continue with the standard treatment through my doctor. I especially want to try it if my HSG is normal. I just don't know if I can face going through all those side effects from the meds if our tests aren't showing anything wrong.
We have also decided to take a month or so off from actively TTC. My sex drive is currently at a 0 and we just don't want to have to worry about all that stuff over the holidays. I'm already feeling much better since deciding on taking the break. I'll keep popping in here though
I just had a few weeks of excitement as I went through IVF. We are now waiting on Egg Cell Development results and then CCS (PGS) testing results. Looking at hopefully a FET in January.
I would love to be doing our FET in December, but unfortunately the lab is closed over the holidays.
I would love to be on the beach in mexico lounging it up, but unfortunately zika!

Years ago, I had a friend who struggled to conceive, and she swore by her acupuncturist - she said that it was amazing, and that it helped so much. If you're thinking of alternative treatments, that one seems to come highly recommended.
@BecauseLove - I am keeping my FX for you re: testing results, and also FET in January!
As for me, I went a bit BSC yesterday. Just privately, with DH, but still. I hate myself a little bit for losing my composure, and for having been so openly distressed (at times) throughout this process. I've been so upset about not measuring an LH surge this month - I think I've let it get to me, let all of this get to me, and I'm starting to crack a little bit - and not just when I get news about someone else's pregnancy, but other times too, like I'll have to run an errand for someone, or something will happen at work, or DH will relax when I'm doing housework, and I'll just lose my sh*t, like a crazy person.
Then, after I'd pulled myself together somewhat, we learned that friends of ours are pregnant with their third. Great news. Wonderful. Bully for them. Ugh.
@funkykey I have considered looking into acupuncture but there isn't anywhere real close that does it. The nutritionist I am looking at seeing is actually like a 2 hour drive away. The joys of living in the sticks.
@hoffmanr7 do not attempt to perform acupuncture on yourself!!!
(I know tone over text is impossible, but I hope you could hear the goofy humor in that, and that it made you laugh a little bit. Even the image of someone trying to figure out where to poke themselves with a pack of thin pins from the sewing store. Absurd jokes, for the win.)
I'm somewhat new around here and I intend to join in more!
1. We have been TTC for almost 3 years (2 with the RE).
2. Diagnosis is PCOS with insulin resistance and anovulation. AF is very irregular (about every 8 months).
3. I've been on Metformin since about 6 months after we started TTC. Now I'm on Aygestin to bring on AF so that I can start the second round of Letrozole with a trigger shot + TI. The RE cancelled the last cycle after the 5mg of Letrozole didn't stimulate my follicles enough.
QOTW: I'd love to travel the world, but unfortunately I have to many responsibilities and not enough funds.
Re: TTTC Checkin 11/08/2016
QOTW: I'd love to go back to college and just take classes indefinitely, but unfortunately I require money to live and am not a fan of crippling debt. lol. What can I say, I love to learn.

@funkykey I LOVE your eat around the world idea. Your post made me super hungry.

@SaphireSweetie88 Congratulations!

Ugh.
I mean, I'm happy for them, but you know.

(I know tone over text is impossible, but I hope you could hear the goofy humor in that, and that it made you laugh a little bit. Even the image of someone trying to figure out where to poke themselves with a pack of thin pins from the sewing store. Absurd jokes, for the win.)
