2! Boys
Nope, my big appointment was last week. I go in next week for a TV ultrasound only. Boring.
I have the Leachco Back and Belly pillow (the big horseshoe shaped pillow) and I'm STILL sleeping like trash. I thrashed around all last night. Its making it really hard for me to have a good day at work. No real cravings or aversions. I've finally trained myself to drink milk. It took 4 months, but I can drink a glass without feeling like I'm going to be sick. Small victories.
On Wednesday I was sitting at a work presentation and Baby A was kicking hard enough that I could see my belly moving through my dress. Totally weird but cool. Baby B is in a better position to feel the kicks, and now he makes my belly move, too! My favorite thing is when I wake up on the weekend and can just lay in bed and feel them kicking before I have to get up and do anything.
I've lost my mind buying baby stuff. Even though I really had a feeling they were boys, I held off on buying stuff until I confirmed sexes last Monday. I picked up two rock n plays from my twin mom group for $25 total, they don't look like they were used at all. My mom and I went on a shopping spree at Carters and got all sorts of cute onesies and sleepers and outfits in assorted sizes (they really did have a great sale). I also bought my cribs, a dresser, and bookcase for the babies room at IKEA. All in for less than $700. I've also started stocking up on cloth diapers. See #8.
There are some super cute twin onesies on zulily right now: https://www.zulily.com/e/graphic-tees-for-bffs-212514.html I feel like they're priced a bit high, but they're super cute (The PB & J one...) @AandDM2014 I know that twin baby wearing is a thing, is that what you're talking about? When I first found out I was having twins I looked it up. All of the companies that make the wrap style baby slings need to write a disclaimer saying they don't recommend wearing more than one baby at once (for liability purposes), but its doable esp when they're little.
They are going to have to share a room forever, or until we move to a bigger house. Our house has 3 bedrooms, and my husband uses one as an office. He's disabled and works from home. The chance of finding a ranch style house with 4 decent size bedrooms in my area is slim, so they're going to have to deal with sharing. I'm going with teal and gray as a color scheme with giraffes and elephants. The walls were already gray so that was pretty awesom. The furniture I got is all white, and I'm going with Teal curtains. This was the inspiration https://www.toysrus.com/buy/neutral/the-peanut-shell-uptown-giraffe-4-piece-crib-set-bsps-gir-60203896
We're going to attempt cloth diapering. (Yeah, i could be crazy...) I'm interested in the money saving, environmental benefits, and health benefits (I have sensitive skin, babies probably will too). I'm planning on becoming a SAHM once the babies are here. While I know I won't necessarily have free time, I feel like I'll have more time than I would if I were working.
Worst case scenario, we try it and its not for us. Oddly enough cloth diapers have great resale value (I know, it seems weird to me, too...). Fortunately both my mom and MIL cloth diapered, so hopefully they won't be too confused when they come to help. I've decided to get some all in one cloth diapers for when daddy helps, too. I have yet to really talk about this with anyone because I'm assuming that they'll tell me I'm completely insane, especially trying to cloth diaper TWO.

I have started trying to build a cloth diaper stash, all used so far. I'm hoping for some black friday sales, too.
Are you going with all in ones (AIOs) or are you going to attempt prefolds? I'm planning to do a mix. I don't think I can get my "helpers" completely on board if the only diapers I have are the old school cloth prefolds.
My biggest question is how big the twins will be when they are born. I don't want to overdo it on the newborn stash, but the chance of coming home with a 8lb baby are super super slim.

When i get overwhelmed thinking how crazy things will be with twins I watch this show and feel better!
If they're making it work with 5 babies (+ an older daughter), I can totally make 2 work!
Even 3 or 4 seems a bit easier after watching folks deal with 5!

This week things seem to be a lot harder! everything hurts and I'm having a hard time just walking for periods of time.
No definite nursery theme yet but I plan on doing gray with blues and pinks. if we will have one or two nurseries depends on what kind of house and space we end up finding!
SaveSave@Finallyhismrs07 Sorry about your grandma. I think it is so special that you shared the sexes of the baby with her before she passed. That was such a nice gift to her, especially because you had been team green!

We use all pockets for one size, though, and love them. It's only a few months with the newborn diapers, compared to years with the one size, and frankly I did most of the newborn diaper changes, so it wasn't too big of a deal to have slightly higher maintenence diapers. He figured them out fine when he needed to.
