  Nothing pregnancy related...

  Symptoms/cravings/aversions?

  Mostly, I just want to drink a ton of water.

  GTKY: What expectations have you had to change during this pregnancy? (Stolen from Monday)
  You know, I don't have a ton of expectations for pregnancy, but I definitely had expectations for TTC. My mother and father got pregnant very easily and I strongly expected for it to be easy for DH and I get pregnant. Instead, we only were able to get pregnant through IVF.

  Upcoming appointments?All of my appointments are on Wednesdays now so today I went for my 36 week check. Had the Group B strep swab, found out I am 1cm dilated, cervix very soft. Glad my body is preparing but I know it doesn't mean labor is near. 

  
  

  Rants/raves/questions? Eh, I'm just over being pregnant. 

  
  

  Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Heartburn, leg cramps, BH contractions, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, can't eat much at once, and generally uncomfortable 24/7. 

  
  

  GTKY: What expectations have you had to change during this pregnancy?  I expected to feel pretty decent during second and third tri (like my last pregnancy) and over all that has not happened. So I have had to realize some things may not get done every day and that I have to take the chances I do have to rest when I get them.

  Upcoming appointments? Had my weekly appointment yesterday.  Baby is doing great.  Cervix is still measuring short and I'm still on bedrest.
  

  
  

  Rants/raves/questions? I'm so over being pregnant.  I can't wait until my little one arrives.  Lol
  

  
  

  Symptoms/cravings/aversions? For some reason, I just can't stop drinking coke this pregnancy.  I stopped cold turkey with my other pregnancies, but I just I crave it.
  
  

  GTKY: What expectations have you had to change during this pregnancy? (Stolen from Monday) - Every pregnancy is different.  For the first time, I might not have to be induce and will get to go into labor naturally.  This pregnancy, I my boobs were less sore, I had less morning sickness, and so far my blood pressure has not gone extremely crazy.

  OB this morning. Uneventful. Second doula meeting tomorrow night. Last birth class in Sunday. Crazy ten weeks went so fast!
  
  

  Rants/raves/questions?

  One baby shower this weekend. Another next weekend. Super grateful for them, but also wish they had been earlier. I'm itching to get everything finished in the nursery but need to wait and see what we're gifted first.

  Numb spot on top of my bump is annoying. Restless legs are more annoying.

  Honestly, don't hate me, but it's actually been easier than I expected. All I'd ever heard of pregnancy was how huge you'll feel, how impossible it will be to do daily tasks, how hot you'll be, how much food you'll crave, the stretch marks, etc. So I expected a train wreck and it's really be pretty smooth. Yeah, I don't move as quick as I used to but I can still move. Yeah, some stuff is harder but it's doable. Maybe these next few weeks will kick my ass, but I feel like I've gotten off pretty easy so far.

  Upcoming appointments?

  Had one yesterday, next will be in 2 weeks. Meeting with the pediatrician next week. Oh and a facial next week... it still counts as an appointment in my book.

  Rants/raves/questions?

  I'm just really nervous about going into labor. Yesterday at my appt my OB said baby was growing at a good rate. Meaning, would she wouldn't stop labor if it started today. I'm not ready, I have too much to do before then!!

  Symptoms/cravings/aversions?

  Chocolate and enchiladas. Not together :P

  I guess I didn't realize how hard it would be to get around in my 3rd trimester. Keeping up with my students is hard!

  Upcoming appointments? Just had one yesterday, everything looks good.  Next one in 2 weeks, the day before Thanksgiving.

  
  

  Rants/raves/questions?  Starting to stress about getting set up for my maternity leave.  I found a sub, so now I really need to get prepped for them and make this as smooth as possible.  I'll be coming back before the end of the year, so if things go nuts while I'm gone I'll have to deal with the aftermath.

  
  

  Symptoms/cravings/aversions?  I'm waking up multiple times a night now to pee which is super fun.

  @tinattt23  I'm feeling the same way.  I know some people who have had really terrible pregnancies and I feel like I've really lucked out.  I guess one thing is just allowing other people to help me.  I still feel capable of doing a lot of things for myself, like carrying heavier items or getting up on chairs to hang things, but I know I shouldn't be pushing it.

  Tonight is our late pregnancy class and hospital tour. Saturday is our all day child birth class. Next Wednesday I have an appt at 35 weeks for the standard stuff plus strep B test and ultrasound to check on size and make sure he's in the right position. They had nothing for 36 weeks and she didn't want me to wait until 37 in cause I go early.

  Rants/raves/questions?

  Not including Thanksgiving break I have two weeks of work left. I'm freaking out. My Para is going to be my sub and knows my routines and such so that will help but I have a lot of kids with behavior problems that require lots of attention and redirection in my classes he's not typically in and I'm not sure how he's going to deal with them. I've left him redicilous notes about specific kids in each class. And I need to get my finals written so all he has to do is proctor and grade them. ugh so much to do so little time.

  Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
  

  Heartburn, overall tiredness. 
  Craving cereal which makes Dh laugh because I'm not a cereal person.

  I didn't allow myself to have expectations. I didn't want to be disappointed in any way. If anything things have been a little easier than I expected. I did expect to be one that carries big but was suprised that I carry all in front and small.

  Upcoming appointments?

  My 36 week appointment was yesterday. Everything checked out. Did have a cervix check (not comfortable at all!) and it's softening, but still completely closed. They also did an NST where baby girl was squirming away, but no contractions in the 30 minutes I was hooked up. 

  Rants/raves/questions?

  Not really. I'm just stressing about getting everything done. At work and for baby. Have my shower Saturday afternoon, so hopefully will get the last of the necessity items after that!!

  Symptoms/cravings/aversions?

  Worst symptom is consistently heartburn. Because of this, food has become a necessity rather than anything actually tasting good.

  **trigger warning** I assumed it would take us forever to get pregnant. I'm 36, DH is 45 and I had been won the pill since 19. We had our first positive after 2 months, miscarried at 7 weeks. Got our next at 6 months, started as twins, but by 12 weeks we had a singleton instead. I spent the first 5 months worried sick that something would happen to baby girl, but (fingers crossed) everything still looks good and healthy.

  Upcoming appointments? Just had my 36 week this morning. The standard weight/urine/BP etc + strep swab and first cervical check! Everything looks great, baby head down and no issues. It looks like she isn't coming any time soon (cervix closed and 0cm dilated)

  
  

  Rants/raves/questions? I feel good overall, I am large and it's getting hard to be comfortable in general, especially when I watch TV/lounge on the couch. But all in all, continue muy normal routine slow and steady.
  I have gone down my to-do list and I am running out of things to do!!! That will drive me nuts for the next few weeks!

  Oreos are so good!!! Overall not super excited about cooking and eating in general-too much work haha! It feels like a chore.

  Overall this pregnancy has been wonderful. I was very anxious at the beginning after 2 late first trimester mmcs. But after getting through the PGAL freak-outs, I have been very thankful for every good and bad symptom. Can't wait to meet this little girl!
