Upcoming appointments? Next Thursday I have a NST and a regular OB appointment.
Rants/raves/questions? I had my growth scan yesterday and the baby is measuring about 3.5 weeks behind (except for his head which is on track lol). Because of that I have to have weekly NSTs and another scan in two weeks. My OB said if he's still measuring so far behind in two weeks (not factoring his head in he's under the 10th percentile, 13th with his head) they'll schedule a induction for when I'm 38-39 weeks. So right now I'm mentally preparing for a Thanksgiving weekend induction/baby and it's kind of freaking me out. The OB said babies who measure small have a higher risk of stillbirth. Does anyone have experience with babies measuring small at this point? I'm one of 4 and none of us hit 7 lbs so I'm hoping this guy just follows in those footsteps of being tiny!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Nope
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? I really want a whole bunch of sushi and a few glasses of Pinot noir lol. I've had zero alcohol this pregnancy because I know I wouldn't be satisfied with one small glass of wine!
What size is baby? Tackle box (sick of the fruit thing)
Upcoming appointments? Had OB yesterday and next weekly is Tuesday.
Rants/raves/questions? At my OB appointment yesterday I was told baby's head is low and she is in position. I'm dilated to a 3. Talked about the contractions and cramping and OB said my body is ready for labor. DH seems to think it'll happen this weekend. I'm hopeful he is right. I just want to hold my baby girl.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Nothing out of the ordinary for this timeframe. just eagerness to get this show on the road.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) wine! I'm so excited for Christmas to be able to endulge in a few glasses.
How many weeks? 37. He could come pretty much any time now...yikes!
What size is baby? A honeydew melon or bunch of romaine lettuce...although I'm pretty sure he was already romaine lettuce a few weeks ago.
Upcoming appointments? Next weekly appointment is Tuesday for an NST and check in with the midwives.
Rants/raves/questions? I guess a rant is that there has been so much going on this week, unexpectedly, that I haven't really been able to focus on getting the house ready for the baby as much as I would like. We still need to buy a bassinet and clear out a place in our bedroom to put that and his dresser. We've got some renovations planned for early next year, so until then he'll be in our bedroom.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Still ice cream or milkshakes all the time. I've pretty much wanted them every day throughout this whole pregnancy. Maybe I need more calcium? Other than that, I had some practice contractions yesterday that did not feel like the braxton hicks I've been having - more painful, spread to the top of my bump (usually they're just down low or on the right side), and came in waves for like an hour. Usually the BH are triggered by physical activity, but this happened when I was sitting. They eased up when I drank some water and had a snack.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) Bourbon. I've been allowing myself a glass of wine or a beer every now and then, but I really miss bourbon - especially after the stress of the last few weeks! Not too much after that - I haven't been super strict with myself.
Upcoming appointments? yesterday's appt went well, nothing exciting to report.
Rants/raves/questions? mild contractions for the past few days, going in today for a prenatal massage that's supposed to be naturally labor inductive.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? No space for food in my stomach anymore so just eating whatever I can stomach. Im still loving ice cream cones.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) a big glass of red wine. I've had small amounts here and there for special occasions but would LOVE to sit back and relax with a nice huge glass.

Upcoming appointments? Had an ultrasound this week because they've been worried he is breech and he is head down! He is in the 33rd percentile but they didn't say he was X weeks behind or anything.
Rants/raves/questions? My doctor won't let me go past 41 weeks so this guy is coming within a month!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Still having pretty bad acid reflux at night.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!). Definitely wine. I haven't been avoiding soft cheeses all the time but definitely sometimes if I think there's a chance it's not pasteurized so it will be nice to not worry about that anymore.
Upcoming appointments? Bi-weekly appointment is on Monday. Just a routine visit, but meeting with #5 out of 6 doctors at the practice. Then on Tuesday I have a therapy appointment to establish a therapist for any PP Depression concerns that may come up after LO's arrival.
Rants/raves/questions? I know I should be SUPER grateful that my mom is painting our nursery for us. But she is on day 3 (two days last week, and then today), and it just seems to be taking too long in my mind (I am at the point where I am ready for no visitors for a while). Last night she didn't get to the house until 9:30 (she was supposed to get there at 8 - and she not a quiet person, so it woke me up), then this morning she realized she forgot her painting pants and toothpaste. So she needed to borrow some pants (which I had packed up all of my pre-pregnancy clothes, so I had to go digging for things) and then she just went searching for toothpaste instead of asking my husband where some was since he was in the kitchen, right next to the bathroom. Then instead of telling us that she needed a straight edge, a pencil, and a bunch of other supplies before she came or while my husband was still home...she waits until I am rushing around to leave to for work to ask for everything, but proceeds to go through the house to find things on her own while I am already looking (previous issues with her regarding invasion of privacy). Again, very grateful that she is helping, and will be back next weekend to help with some meal prep stuff, but not how I wanted my morning to start.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Exhaustion and restless legs are getting worse. Not craving anything in particular but ALWAYS hungry!
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) A New Belgium Fat Tire beer. I keep asking DH to make sure to bring one to the hospital for us to share together, but he says no. I will find someone else to bring me one. I just want a few drinks of it. I've been craving it for the last few weeks.
I have a second growth scan tomorrow. LO was measuring small at 32 weeks so they want to recheck. My dr thinks she's just going to be petite due to my size. But my son was 8 lbs so he was a bit bigger, so we will see!
Rants/raves/questions?
We're surprising DS with a trip to The Polar Express tomorrow! My appt is at 7:30 and he's spending the night with my mom tonight. We're going to go pick him up and drive 5 hours to the mountains to be on the train tomorrow evening! I'm so excited!! We've been watching the movie since September and he's been trying to "earn a trip to ride" for the past 2 months.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
I had timeable and painful contrax last night. They went away, but it was a little scary!
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) I just want a massive Coke. Maybe 4. With a pizza filled with soft cheeses.
@karmba L was 6lbs 6 oz at 39w4d. He is currently carrying around a 3lb puppy and chasing another. Small babies can do just fine.
How many weeks? 37!!!! Further than we ever thought I'd make it.
What size is baby?
Melon? Who comes up with these? They make no sense.
Upcoming appointments?
If we hold out until Tuesday I have a growth US, nst, and weekly. I'm really hoping we can nail down the sex of this child. 'I don't SEE a penis.' And 'That doesn't look 100% like a scrotum.' Are making me paranoid that I have a boy in there, and will break both his grandmas's and papa's hearts - for a few hours or days.
Rants/raves/questions?
Well I have a date scheduled for my induction, if we make it that long. I WILL have a baby in less than 14 days. So terribly excited that I have an end date.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
No real craving or aversions. I finally had my first leg cramps, and am still having small timeable contrax.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) Ummm I don't really drink, like maybe 2-3 a year, and I have been eating whatever I wanted, so yeah. I am missing riding horses. I can't wait to get back in the saddle for a trail ride, or spring branding.

What size is baby? 5lbs 5oz at last ultrasound a week ago, 33rd percentile
Upcoming appointments? 11/18
Rants/raves/questions? Whoever made my on call schedule has clearly not been pregnant before. I am going on maternity leave starting 11/28 but have eight 24 hour on call surgery shifts between now and then, including all of the next 2 weekends and the last 4 days in a row before maternity. WTF! Too late to change it. If this baby comes early they better have a backup plan!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Lower back pain and referred shoulder pain, which is getting old! Not to jinx it, but other than waking up to pee all the time, I am luckily sleeping quite well lately which was not the case 2 months ago.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? Mostly I want to not eat well done burgers/steaks/eggs anymore! I miss soft yolks in my eggs and pink centers of the meats.
What size is baby? Celery, small chihuahua, loaf of bread
Upcoming appointments? Nope, just had a checkup yesterday.
Rants/raves/questions? Nothing really. I need to get my butt in gear and organize the nursery!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Nothing really.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) I'm with @gowenc -- give me a strong drink! I haven't been too strict on myself this pregnancy foodwise, and I've even had a beer or glass of wine here or there, but I really miss stiff cocktails and high ABV beers. I'm definitely planning on having a milk stout or something similar ready to drink as soon as the baby comes...for nursing purposes

@Kate08Young I think just hearing the small percentiles freaked me out slightly. I was a 6 lb 6 oz baby and DH was 5 lbs 8 oz. We were small, so it follows that he will be too. Hey - at least all the newborn clothes we have should fit! Also - congrats on 37 weeks!
@karmba Thanks! L actually had some baggy newborn size clothes. He started out in the 10th percentile (I think) and at 1 year had jumped up to 60 something.
Also my dad reminded me multiple times 'Some baby has to be the biggest (90+%s) and someone must be the smallest. Doesn't mean better or worse, just different builds.' That still is my mantra every time someone comments on his size.
ETA: @PensiveCrayon I forgot how cute puppies were until we had this group. That one is the runt, and is an absolute ham/snuggler. He tends to face-plant into the food bowl, then demand kisses to make it better.

Upcoming appointments? I have an ultrasound on Wednesday of next week to check GA and fluid levels, I wonder if my OB is curious as to why I keep measuring a bit ahead? F/U to that is on Friday next week
Rants/raves/questions? I'm worried she is going to be huge and labor will be extremely painful and she won't fit into half of the clothes she has...
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? chocolate and pizza..but not together lol
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) WINE....COSMOS....booze lol and eggs sunny side up. oh and a big fat deli sandwich (I've had subway toasted but I reaaaalllly want a deli turkey sandwich for lunch)
period like cramps when I woke up at 3am & again while I wait for my car to be serviced.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? just looking forward to eating what I want, when I want without having to count carbs or stick to a schedule.
Upcoming appointments? Had one yesterday, next appt is in 2 weeks when I start the pelvic exams
Rants/raves/questions? I got engaged on Sunday!! He took me totally by surprise and had a whole scavenger hunt setup around the city for me to spots we've gone on dates. Then I was eventually led back to our home where he proposed in the nursery with candlelight, rose petals and a tuxedo. I'm still in shock, it was such a thoughtful plan he had!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? ACID REFLUX....I had to up my Zantac dose this week, it's bad.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to eating/drinking post-pregnancy? (I can't be the only one missing something!) Sushi will be brought into my room at the hospital, I have requested a very specific roll from my favorite place and my FI's dad will be getting it and bringing it to the hospital. Very sweet of him. Oh, and all the red wine, I can't wait for red wine.
