Tonight I'm making venison spaghetti with marinara made from vegetables from DHs garden and the deer he got and butchered this weekend. I'm so proud of him and grateful for this super local, super sustainable meal.
however, im hankering for more candy, captain crunch (wut?!), over easy eggs, smoothies, peanut butter, and butternut squash soup
We had them 2 years ago on vacation in Belize and I became obsessed with them. I've tried to replicate them with no success. Found some little hole in the wall Salvadoran restaurant for lunch yesterday. They had plantains! And they were spot on!
I made some 2-ingredient pumpkin muffins last night (box of cake mix - Devil's Food and a can of pumpkin) and added some cinnamon chips to it. I could have eaten every single one of them! I ate 3-4, as I couldn't fit them all (made 18) in the container I was using. So good, and the chocolate is better than the spice cake version I made a couple weeks ago. Yum!!
Otherwise, nothing too crazy. I also pre-made a tator tot hot dish for supper tonight, which just needs to be heated up. DH gets back into town from hunting, so I figured it would make an easy meal. I did use some realy old frozen veggies (no listeria concerns) that had probably been in the freezer for too long, but they should heat up and get soft enough to eat. Hopefully. I probably should have bought new, ha.
Apples and PB make a great snack!

I've been ravenous for the past week for these first time this pregnancy. I am seriously dreading getting on the doctor's scale this afternoon.
I've been craving sweets hard core too. My lunch yesterday consisted of a soda (I never drink soda non-pregnant), a caramel santa, a twix, and a little debbie christmas tree cake. Christmas themed counts as nutritional value, right?
Stereotypical pickle cravings for a couple weeks now. Olives, french fries and gravy. Havarti cheese.
I am kind of candied out from Halloween so sweets have taken and backseat in my cravings BUT my baby shower was on Sunday and we got sent home with tons of cupcakes with buttercream icing, so....you know
Tums. I'm eating tums like they're candy. Like 15+ tums/day. Food of any kind doesn't sound or taste good ever. Probably belongs in the symptom thread, but this acid reflux and heartburn are no joke. Baby girl better have some spectacular hair at this rate!
I finally got my giant breakfast the other day! Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes...yum. Only thing I didn't get was breakfast potatoes...I decided fruit would be healthier. Yeah I wish I'd gone for the potatoes because the "in season" fruit was NOT in season...
