Re: 11/7 - Weekly Check In

  • Intro (if you haven't given one already): 2nd miscarriage - one at 6.5 weeks, one at 20 weeks.

How are you feeling: Overall pretty good.  I'm starting to feel like myself again, which is nice.

What is one thing you want to do for yourself this week: I'm going to cook nice meals every day this week.  For the past three months, we've eaten out and ordered delivery so much.  It's nice to get back into the kitchen (I actually like cooking).

Any challenges coming up: This week I'm going to a wedding where the bride will be doing a gender reveal at the wedding.  Yeah, yeah, I'm happy she's pregnant, but I was hoping to avoid being part of any baby celebrations for a bit.

  • I love this! Great idea :)

Intro (if you haven't given one already): Two miscarriages- One chemical pregnancy and one at 8 weeks (baby stopped growing around 6w5d)

How are you feeling: Ugh depends on the hour to be honest, I'm still actively bleeding so I have physical angst in addition to the emotional stuff.  I had a good day but then I got a text that a girl I know is pregnant.  She got divorced after 2 months of marriage because he cheated right before their wedding and it frankly pisses me off that she gets pregnant but I'm struggling.

What is one thing you want to do for yourself this week: I bought myself a new china cabinet on Sunday and I am way more excited than I should be to put everything away in it.  I have been lusting after a cabinet like this for the last 5 years so this was a nice gift to bring a little happiness to a dreary situation.

Any challenges coming up: I also have a wedding to go to and this will be my first social interaction with anyone since everything started to go south with the pregnancy.

  • Hello All,

I was in the Feb2017 birth club.  We lost our Cora Marie at 22w1d two weeks ago. We went in for a routine ultrasound and found out her heart stopped beating :'( . I'm 33 and DH is 40, we've been married 4 years,  and this was our first pregnancy. We are anxiously waiting on anwsers from autopsy and pathology so we know how long we have to wait to TTC.

How are you feeling? Emotionally I'm still  not feeling like myself.  I'm angry and fighting depression.  I have my good days and bad days though

One thing I did for myself this week: I've taken a few weeks off from work and it feels good to get caught up on some fall cleaning projects. I also got my hair dyed and a pedicure.

Challenges coming up: I am going back to work next week after almost a month off from work. I work with the public and I will have people that ask me how the baby is.  I'm sure that is going to be difficult to not break down into tears.  :'(

  • Hi @Tennis11785 glad to hear you're back to cooking again...  Me too!  I felt that all we did was order take out and go out to restaurants the past few months.  Good luck at the wedding/gender reveal  <3

  • Intro: l haven't gotten confirmation of a loss but there was no heartbeat at 8 wks and I don't think my dates are wrong. If they are wrong, I didn't get pregnant until after my BFP.

How are you feeling: Just waiting for the loss to happen is enough to make me crazy. We see the dr tomorrow so I'm very anxious about that
  • I don't know why the rest didn't post...

What is one thing you want to do for yourself this week: Doing a lot of organizing this wk. Let the kids put up their little tree outside of their rooms.

Any challenges coming up: Supposed to dinner with a friend tomorrow-who didn't know I was preg. I was waiting to share news after our first appt. Soo just not sure I really want to do dinner tomorrow

@Tennis11785 , @alemarie1 I've also thrown myself into cooking.  On Sunday I made homemade cinnamon rolls and 4 homemade pizzas.

@sprkls8506  Skip the dinner if it makes you more comfortable.  You are dealing with enough already.  I'm all about avoiding another stressor.

Intro (if you haven't given one already):  TTC1, first pregnancy.  Diagnosed with a MMC on 10/20. I knew something was wrong on 10/6 at my 8 week u/s and they only saw an empty 6 week sac along with the yolk.  Miso on 10/21.

How are you feeling: I am feeling okay.  Definitely less weepy than last week.  It does get a little easier.  I'm having some labs drawn this morning and hoping that my levels are at 0.  I did some googling last night and others have said that once levels hit double digits they can really stall.  Kind of a waiting game until we can TTC again.

What is one thing you want to do for yourself this week: I think I'm going to try to savor the short week I have from work.  I have election day off, a conference on Thursday and Friday off.  Today I'm going to hit up zumba at 10:30 am.  I never get to go to the gym during the workweek so this is a little treat.

Any challenges coming up: The holidays are hard.  Any encounters with my mother she sneaks in how old I am and really need a baby.  She pretty much yells at me about getting pregnant.  Needless to say she did not know about the last pregnancy.  The plan was for her to be the last to know and the plan is still for her to be the last to know with any other pregnancies.  I just know she would blame me for the mc because she tells me how old I am.  I'm 35 btw.

Edit - forgot to tag people : )

@alemarie1 - I hope the good days outnumber the bad soon.

  • Intro (if you haven't given one already): 1st miscarriage...just shy of 8 weeks with 1st pregnancy

How are you feeling: Good moments and bad.

What is one thing you want to do for yourself this week: I had a spa day last week (got a facial and haircut and massage) and that was nice. Going to try and take some time later to do an at home mask and soak in a hot tub.

Any challenges coming up: Currently dealing with results of a products of conception Biopsy. Turns out this was a partial molar pregnancy and now we have to wait possibly up to a year before trying again. I'm gutted about that. I was finally coming to terms with my miscarriage on the grounds that I would be able to try again soon...but now I can't.

Spent most of yesterday doing research on how long I really had to wait...looks like I may be able to cut it down to 3 months. Going to chat with a high risk OB/gyn tomorrow and see what my options really are. If the benefits outweigh the risks I may opt to try sooner rather than later.
  • @Rk4047 I'm so sorry to hear.  I am also a suspected partial molar so I've done a lot of research on molar pregnancies .  There is board dedicated to molar pregnancy on baby center.  There is a doctor in the country that specializes in molar pregnancy, Dr. Goldstein out of Brigham and Women's  in Boston.   Many women e-mail him for a second opinion on wait times,  he has advised 3 months in some cases.

  • @Tennis11785 it's one of those things I just don't get.  Thank you for admiring to getting take out so often because I was starting to have guilt over how little I've cooked in the last month.

@Rk4047 I'm so sorry to hear you may have to wait so long.  I can't even imagine how frustrating that must be for you. Keep us posted, hopefully your wait is cut.

  • Intro (if you haven't given one already): first miscarriage was a missed one so approx 8 weeks. 2nd one I was around 11 weeks but things were starting to happen.
How are you feeling: not good today but tomorrow is a new day and its a short week.
What is one thing you want to do for yourself this week: i would really like to go for a jog. But I hurt my knee at work so a jog would probably not be a good idea.
Any challenges coming up: gotta go to a fertility specialist to see what's going on and what we need to do. I kinda honestly feel like just waiting a few more years. I'm 25. No one says I have to have kids before I'm 30.
  • @pinnerk I'm 35 now and wish I would have gone to see a specialist sooner. Even if I didn't actually start using them yet just to know what I was facing.  Just food for thought.
