Pregnant after a Loss

*** 3rd trimester check-in***

This is an informal 3rd trimester check-in.  Post your name and EDD.  Welcome to all the new graduates into the 3rd trim.

QOTD - Do you judge whether or not it is worth bending down for something (whether you drop it, or an untied shoelace, etc)?

I just recently have decided that I won't bend over to pick anything up :) I know it is lazy but it just hurts anymore!

QOTD:  I get tired on squatting down to pick things up, but I know squatting will help me in labor so I just suck it up and pick things up.  If DH is around, he insists on doing everything for me which is nice but really I need to move around at this stage.

I definately have the "how bad do I want that?" thought when I drop things since the floor is so far away these days.

  • If I'm at work, I definitely think about whether or not I need to pick it up. At home I will squat (as ungracefully as possible), but I know that practicing squating is good for me at this point.

Yes I do because often I cannot get what I am trying to get off of the floor. This belly is really getting in my way. I just keep reminding myself that I only have 48 days give or take a bit and 7 12 hour shifts at work left. I can make it, I hope!!

If I'm seated and drop something on the floor, then contemplate it more (and if I'm in my car, there is no way I can get it)  If I'm standing I'm usually okay. I'm sure it will change soon though. :)

I am conscious of my movements. I really try not to bend over for anything. I try to squat instead since it should help to get ready for labor and delivery. But sometimes I forget and I accidentally bend over. For shoes or putting on pants, I sit on something (the bed, the stairs, etc.)

  • I'm gonna go ahead and join if it's ok :)

4/13 but I'm gonna be induced around 37-38 weeks b/c I am on blood thinners and have a controlled induction early to prevent me for going on my own.

I am still [pikcing things up but have noticed that if my DH is around I will look at him with pitiful eyes and hopefully he will pick it up for me :)

Yup.  If it is something I need or nobody is around I will pick it up.  Otherwise, someone can do it for me!!

Yay I am so excited to be in the 3rd tri!

QOTD - Lol - if it's just me, I don't think about it too much but if DH is around I'll have him pick it up for me :)

I haven't been but I'm in the process of changing those thoughts.  These days, I usually get about half way down and realize that I'm either not going to make it down or I'm not going to make it back up.

I seriously think about it each and every time.  My shoelace became untied and I just looked at it and realized that I dont step on it... so I walke w/ it being untied until I could sit down at my desk.  I was also changed a roll of toilet paper and the empty roll missed the garbage can...I thought...DH can get that later.
