  • 1. How far along are you?  19 weeks, 1 day

    2. How many multiples are you expecting? twin di-di miracle boys

    3. Any recent appointment updates?  anatomy scan on Monday. all went well but it was excruciatingly long. I have to go back in 2 weeks because they couldn't see all of each baby's heart valves

    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc?  tired and a LOT of pelvic pressure and pain when getting up from my desk at work

    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM's? I'm a STM, so no registry for me

    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out?  Twin Boys!! So happy!

    7.  Any current cravings or aversions? craving carbs like it's my business. not feeling the meat lately which is completely unlike me cause I'm normally a meatatarian ;)

    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etc? Just still thinking of our fellow twin mama, @MrsNap_515 and hoping she checks in soon. Sending good vibes for babies and mama.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive ?
Everyone has been amazing. I really cannot complain about anyone being unsupportive. DH has been incredible and he's my rock as always. taking on more duties so I can take it easy. Love that man.

  • 1. How far along are you? - 22 Weeks & 5 Days

    2. How many multiples are you expecting? - Boy/Girl Twin Miracles

    3. Any recent appointment updates? - Went to my MFM yesterday for fetal echocardiograms and growth scans on the babies. Their hearts look great. Baby girl's cyst on her brain is shrinking. They are still measuring about 6 days apart but both within the growth curve and developing normally so the doctors aren't concerned. I go back for a repeat growth scan in 4 weeks.

    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc? - I'm feeling okay. Pretty uncomfortable most of the time. I also feel like I have lost all sense of coordination and the pregnancy brain is no joke. My legs have also started doing this tingly thing where it feels like they are falling asleep when I lay down. HOWEVER - the kicks from the babies are getting stronger and that is so much fun. Yesterday after my ultrasound I think baby boy was pissed off and hungry, he kicked me so hard you could see my stomach move. Took DH and I back!

    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM's? - Yep. We have finished our registry at Target and just need to finish up at BRU. We have two showers scheduled, one in early December and one in early January so gotta get them done soon!

    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out? - We are having a little boy and a little girl!

    7.  Any current cravings or aversions? - Still craving Sprite and very much enjoying fall food at the moment. I am finding that I get full really fast and if I try to eat too quickly I will get really sick to my stomach so am having to make a conscious effort to slow down!

    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etc? I am very grateful this week to have finally gotten moved into our new house. It was a long and bumpy road but we finally made it. One less thing to worry about and luckily, the nesting phase should align perfectly with needing to unpack! :)

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive ? -
My DH has been amazing. He is constantly picking up the slack and reminding me to sit down and rest. Our families have also been extremely supportive and are so excited for the new additions :) I can't think of anyone in particular that has been less than supportive - other than strangers and people at my office (whom I don't work closely with and/or have never spoken to) that like to make comments about my size and ask too many personal questions. :(

  • 1. How far along are you? Today I am 16 weeks 4 days!

    2. How many multiples are you expecting? Three!

    3. Any recent appointment updates? I had a scan on Monday where it was discovered that Baby C has VCI just like Baby A. I go back on 11/14 for my next appointment.

    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc? Considering I'm growing three people in my tummy right now, I feel great. I'm tired most days and could probably nap for 2-3 hours a day. I have to eat constantly because I need to be getting 2100-2400 calories a day, which isn't easy when trying to not have ice cream and cake every day! I've also started having some relaxin discomfort so my hips hurt a bit.

    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM's? I have a completed BRU, Target and Amazon registry! I actually went and about two car seats from BRU when I made my registry last week and DHs mom has purchased us the stroller that goes along with them, so that's awesome.

    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out? We are team Purple! Two girls and one boy.

    7.  Any current cravings or aversions? Not especially. I have my normal foods that I avoid, which I still do. I haven't really craved much, which I'm sure DH is happy about!

    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etc? I just got my first bloody nose of this pregnancy. Awesome! I'm surprised it's taken this long, but I hope it stops quickly and doesn't happen again.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive
I think everyone so far has been very supportive. After the first ultrasound where we saw three, DH was totally 100% on board with having them all and hasn't wavered since. Once our parents found out they completely stepped up to help us get our house ready to sell, which is awesome. I think the least supportive have been my two doctors, but even then it wasn't too bad. My RE is really against triplets and wanted us to reduce. When we saw my MFM the first time, he also suggested that it was probably easier to reduce, but that he'd of course still take the best care of me he could. He's been great since.

  • 1. How far along are you? 22 weeks
    2. How many multiples are you expecting? Di/Di twins
    3. Any recent appointment updates? I go every two weeks, and will go this Friday.

    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc
Bad -- reflux and nosebleeds.  Good -- feeling them move...a lot!  Sometimes I get anxious because I feel one more than the other (although I guess I could be wrong about exactly what I'm feeling, and also I think it has more to do with where their placentas are.  But still.)

    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM's?
Started a private one, but there's not much on it.  Have started reaching out to all the twin moms I know to ask their opinions on things.  Our apartment is tiny so I really want to buy as little as possible, although they'll still have their own nursery which I guess I do need to set up.

    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out? Boys!

    7.  Any current cravings or aversions? Craving steak, which works out well because I'm trying hard to make a point of eating more protein.  None of my other cravings are that weird, just normal foods I've always enjoyed but now suddenly will Have. To. Have.

    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etc?
I'm starting to get worried that I'll outgrow all my maternity clothes, and have to buy new, bigger maternity clothes!  And I hated spending money on the first round, so I'm really not thrilled about that.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive ?
I feel bad complaining about this, because my office has GREAT maternity leave, but I feel like my employer has been less than supportive.  I'm 22 weeks and working harder/longer hours than ever, including late nights and weekends.  It's not abnormal to have "busy periods" like this, but there's been no talk of dialing back my role on certain cases, or staffing additional people, etc.  men seem to think of maternity leave as a vacation that starts on a certain day but you work like crazy leading up to it.  I have no idea when these babies will come, and all this stress and lack of sleep cannot be good for them. That's my rant this week!
  • @anonellis I hear ya about mat clothes! I've only purchased a few shirts, two one size bigger sweater things and one pair of leggings. I was too chicken to buy any jeans with my first order, but the weather and my bump seem to indicate that it is time for me to go into a store and try some on. I'm worried that I'll definitely outgrow them, which is why I have been resisting. The weather here was nice for so long so I could keep wearing dresses, but not any more! It would be nice if they made special multiples mat clothing.

  • 1. How far along are you?
    18 weeks 3 days!
    2. How many multiples are you expecting?
    Four!
    3. Any recent appointment updates
    Anatomy scan tomorrow :)
    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc
still sore, and winded. I get discouraged because I am always on the go, but this pregnancy has forced me to slow way down.
    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM's?

Started a registry at buy buy baby and starting one at babies r us soon.

    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out?
     hope to find out tomorrow!
    7.  Any current cravings or aversions?
still struggling to have an appetite and meet my 1200 extra calories a day....not being successful so far.
    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etc.

Hoping to finally find out the genders of the babies and also hope that everything is still going great with all babies.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive ?

Most supportive would be my husband  and family. they have been there since we found out and willing to help us in anyway possible. the least supportive would be one of my so called "best friends".she has not spoken to me since we told her the news and not sure why.
  • @anonellis I am also struggling with maternity clothes. I have a lot from when I was pregnant with my son, most of what lasted me to the end of my pregnancy with him has already started to be too tight this time around! I'm concluded I will just be living in robes and nightgowns towards the end haha
  • @AandDM2014 @ccook1211
Regarding maternity clothes for multiples, I found this: https://www.drbarbaraluke.com/catalog.aspx The prices seem CRAAAZY, but they look pretty comfy.

@anonellis  I am so close to growing out of some of my maternity clothes. I bought a couple of flowy maternity tops with no give before I was ready to announce at work (I was showing by 10 weeks), and I'll only fit in those for another week or two. Once I found out I was having twins I ONLY bought items that are super stretchy. Mostly at Goodwill. Fingers crossed they last.

    1. How far along are you? 20 Weeks today!!!!!!
    2. How many multiples are you expecting? di/di twins
    3. Any recent appointment updates? I'm on the every 4 week track and my anatomy scan is on MONDAY. This will be my first appointment with the MFM and I found out today that they allow 2 guests for their scans, so I get to bring my mom! Her birthday is Friday and these are her first grand kids! She is a nurse, and I intended to have her in the delivery room, unfortunately that won't happen because I'll deliver in an OR. I surprised her with the invite today and she was SO excited!

    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc? Everything hurts. My pelvis is clicking and I feel like I'm already waddling. I'm having some hip pain, too. The nosebleeds have tapered off, thankfully. I've started getting a little winded when walking to/from the train (about 1/2 mile, partially uphill in both directions). I'm never really out of breath, but sometimes my lungs hurt like they're working super hard. I've also had some trouble sleeping. I'm super tired, but super restless.

    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM'sI started it, and need to add more things. I think I've picked my big ticket items, but the stroller I want is not available until January. I want to get the Bumbleride Indie Twin: https://www.bumbleride.com/strollers/indie-twin-stroller-2016. It is expensive, but even the "cheaper" all terrain strollers seem to be $500ish! That would be my all purpose stroller, and if they'd get their act together I'd get the car seat attachments. I am starting out with a frame stroller (Joovy Twin Roo), and plan on keeping a double umbrella stroller in the car (once they're big enough for an umbrella stroller).
    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out? MONDAY!!!!!!!! previous scans seem to indicate two boys (Baby B's cord was between his/her legs so it was really hard to tell...). I have felt like they are both boys for the last couple of months, but now I'm starting to think maybe 1 of each? Each baby is so different in what they react to. Baby A goes nuts when I have sugar. Baby B goes nuts when I eat or drink something cold. Their heart rates have been different at the last couple of appointments too. I'll tell you for sure next week!

    7.  Any current cravings or aversions? After months of not being able to stomach chocolate, and months of not craving sweets I've developed a serious sweet tooth. I also overbought Halloween candy (we ran out last year, this year we had 15 kids I had 3 jumbo bags of candy...). This has been a deadly combo. Still loving black olives and salt in general.

    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etcHoping @MrsNap_515 is OK!

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive ?
My mom and husband have been really supportive. I've had some really weepy days lately so their support has be invaluable. Work has been less than supportive. I actually put in my 2 week notice a couple weeks ago, and they agreed to work with me to make the environment less hostile and to lighten up my workload, so i rescinded the notice. Trying my very best to hold out until as close to delivery as possible so that I can take advantage of maternity leave before resigning. I initially felt badly about doing this, but the more that time goes on, and I get treated like crap.... the less I feel badly about leaving them high and dry. Also, they really should know this is coming. I'm paid far below industry standard and barely enough to cover the cost of childcare for one baby, definitely not enough for two. Who in their right mind would essentially PAY to go to work? The kicker? one of my bosses is the dad of TWINS and his wife stayed home with them until they were in school all day! He really should know this is coming. **Sorry, that turned into a dear diary post... thanks for listening**
  • @direwoldmini Holy crap those pictures! I can't even with how big I'm going to get. Those prices do seem a bit higher than some I've seen, but are way less than others! How exciting that your mom gets to go with you to your AS! I bet she's beyond excited! Tired but restless is something I can identify with! I've found that using either lavender essential oil or some other lavender rub at bedtime has helped me in the past few weeks. Can't wait to hear your sex results!

@ccook1211 I'm curious how long your doc is planning to let you go before you have to deliver. I know in the research I did I saw that quads usually never go past 31 weeks, which is so darn early! Also, I hear ya about trying to get in your extra calories. I have to do 900 a day, and every day I'm like "I'm not hungry, but I have to keep eating for these babies, ugh". I never thought I'd be sad about having to eat lots and lots and lots and lots! I hope you get great news tomorrow!

  • @AandDM2014 the Dr I am seeing is hoping for me to make it to about 28-32 weeks for delivery. 34 weeks would be the latest they will let me carry the quads if I make it that far. The thought of having them so early terrifies me! but I've been reading about quads that have survived and thrived after being born at 25 weeks so I am trying to stay positive and optimistic! they are mostly concerned with my cervix thinning (which if that starts happening I will be admitted to the hospital until I deliver).

Also if you have any tricks for meeting your daily calorie goal please share! this pregnancy I have had no appetite and I swear NOTHING tastes good! my first pregnancy I enjoyed eating all the food, this time I swear I have to force myself to eat!
  • @ccook1211 That would be amazing if you made it to 32, which is usually when triplets deliver! When my MFM first told me to expect them any time after 28 weeks I was like "no, no, no, no, no, that's too early", but I'm confident that I can make it further than that (especially since my baby shower is planned for the day after I hit 28 weeks!). I wish I had any tips, but really the only thing I can think that I've done differently is that I used to do open face pb&j sandwiches with 95 cals of pb, but now I always make sure I have two piece of bread and do a full 190 cals of pb. I also found at the beginning when I started needing to step up my calorie intake that writing down how much I was eating helped. I'm starting that again today because I read something yesterday that said by 24 weeks I should gain like over 30 pounds, and I'm only up about 10 from my lowest (at almost 17 weeks). I plan to ask my MFM about it when I see him next as he hasn't said anything about my weight gain or how much I should be eating. I too have to force myself to eat sometimes, because I just don't feel hungry, but I know that I need the calories for the babies. It's helped as I've gained 3 pounds in the last week and a half (seems drastic but I lost a few pounds after transfer that I didn't gain back until about 11 weeks). I was a naughty on Tuesday and bought one of those single serving ice creams from the grocery store and enjoyed all 240 calories when I got home so I'm sure that helped too.

  • 1. How far along are you? 21 weeks 6 days

    2. How many multiples are you expecting? 2 mono/di little miracles

    3. Any recent appointment updates? i am not on a 1 week schedule with my high risk, and hopefully won't be upgraded to a every day schedule or hospital bed rest. They do not show signs of TTTS when they did the level 2 (which is what they do every time) at the MFM. Both are growing, moving tons. Membrane is good. Again, heavy monitor on the TTTS part. Hope and pray my babies don't get them. Doc suspects that when the babies split the placenta baby B did not get a fair share. Which is why she is smaller. She is now 10 days behind. The gap seem bigger each time =/ and that scares and worries me. I am trying to stay positive as much as possible though! MFM did tell me 23/24 weeks is what they consider fetal viability. But they want them to be living no just surviving. Staying inside as long as possible before my placenta gives out is the best thing for them. But either way it is a HUUUGE landmark date for them.

    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc? swelling... i feel heavy in general. I feel so hot when I am sleeping I just want be fully naked. I heard a pounding heart beat in my left ear. Doc said that is normal.

    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM's?
Our 2 main ones are Buy Buy Baby and Target
Our private ones are BBRU, Amazon
i ordered something of my amazon one for the welcome box. Also some expensive stuff I found and added on there in case no one gets it for us and we can get the 15% discount later.

We bought the UPPABABY Vista Stroller with extra romper seat and bassinet (technically my parents said they are getting it for us, but they had not given me the check yet, so i am not counting it as from them)

We also bought a dresser and 2 cribs. Only 1 crib and the dresser are here though. Hubby has set it up. I think this has made me really happy this week. I guess it makes it all feel so much more real! It brightens my mood, and I get to go in their rooms and try to figure out what else i want to buy online for them.

    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out?
PINK 2 little identical girls <3

    7.  Any current cravings or aversions? i like orange fanta or orange soda..... a lot................

    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etc? I'm happy to read about everyone's updates

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive ?
really we have no one. My hubby has been the most supportive. His parents think that i am over dramatic, and thinks my DH just spoils me and I'm lazy cus i don't do much and he wants me to lay down all the time. UM HELLO BED ResT?! they keep comparing it to a singleton pregnancy and how big and fat I've already gotten and up my DH wants me to eat more......
they also won't be helping out much when the babies get here anyways. It is not like they have come over to visit since i got on bed rest. My parents have since they are in town and bought me food and stuff a few times, but they too are don't put me 1st. Yesterday my dad yelled at me for no reason bc he was frustrated with something else. and he thinks he is SO RIGHT to yell. WTVR now i remember why my relationship with them sucked anyways.

  • @mrsyimster I'm sorry that you're going through that with both your in laws and your parents. I don't get why people don't understand that multiple pregnancies are DIFFERENT than singletons!!!! OF COURSE you're going to be bigger! (I feel like I look 7 or 8 months at 20 weeks, and am terrified of how big I will get later on!) I'm sorry that you're dealing with growth issues for Baby B, but I'm glad to hear that you don't have any signs of TTTS!

Regarding the UppaBaby Vista, have you set it up? Do you like it? That one interested me, but I was concerned that the rumble seat had a lower weight limit than the regular seat.

  • @mrsyimster - What is it about the grandparents that don't seem to understand that a multiples pregnancy is different from a singleton. I swear, if my mother or grandmother make one more comment about my size...........

I'm so sorry that you are dealing with that. But SO glad the girls are still not showing any signs of TTTS. :)

First tri and very early second tri I needed to go to bed by 8:00 - 8:30 PM to make my wake up at 6:30 AM for work during the week. If I tried to stay up later, I WAS A MESS.

These days I'm feeling OK if I stay up until 9:30 or 10:00 PM, and even made it to midnight on Wednesday to watch the Cubs win the World Series (Go Cubs!), but that was a bit of a stretch. I also find that I'm able to get a little bit more done during the day before I get super tired.

I wouldn't expect to be running marathons, but hopefully you will be a little less tired!
  • @direwolfmini Wow, I can't imagine having to get up at 6:30 every morning even though my cat usually wakes me around 7-7:15. Maybe I'll try to get more stuff done in the mornings and see if that helps with my never ending to do list.

  • Hey ladies, I'm kind of late to the game and just now joining the March board (I did post into the intro post).  I'll kind of recap here though.  DH and I are expecting #2 & #3.  B/B di-di twins.  We have an almost 5 yr old DD.  We were shocked to find out we were expecting twins and it's definitely taken me some time to adjust to.  I had issues with my last pregnancy and ended up with an emergant cerclage.  This time I had a preventive cerclage placed at 12 weeks and it's made all the difference in the world.  Looking forward to getting to know you all and for some multiples support on this crazy journey.

    1. How far along are you
    ?  22 weeks

    2. How many multiples are you expecting? twin di-di boys

    3. Any recent appointment updates?  Had my AS last week, and everything was perfect.  I sometimes have to pinch myself to believe that this pregnancy is going so smooth.

    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc?  Just tired and major hip pain.  Other than that no complaints.

    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM's? I'm a STM, so no registry for me.  I have more of a "I need to purchase" list.

    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out?  Twin Boys

    7.  Any current cravings or aversions? Halloween is slowing killing me.  The amount of candy I ate last week is shameful.

    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etc? I finally faced reality that we will not be having another girl anytime in the near future so I have started going through DD clothes to give to friends.  It makes me a little sad which I know is insane because I have 2 healthy babies.  Just a bit bittersweet.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive
All of my friends and coworkers have been incredibly supportive. It's been amazing to be surrounded by such sweet people.

Also related to the maternity clothes post and outgrowing things.  Totally relate.  I'm just about as big now as I was when I had DD.  I joined Le Tote this time because I'm determined to not look frumpy. It's a bit pricey, but so far I really like it.

    1. How far along are you?  22w 2d

    2. How many multiples are you expecting?  2 momo girls

    3. Any recent appointment updates?  I saw the mfm on wednesday.  The girls are measuring almost two weeks ahead which is great since they will be delivered so early.  No knots in their cords yet, just lots of twisting, but the flow is good.  I'm heading for inpatient the day before Thanksgiving.

    4. How are you feeling, symptoms, etc?   Anxious/stressed. Trying to enjoy the pregnancy, but there's so much unknown with momos that it's hard to stay positive.

    5. Have you started a registry yet? Any registry items you're looking at, or any registry questions for the STM's?  Yes, we had gotten rid of everything, so we are starting over with these two.  My shower is next weekend before I head to hospital.

    6. Do you know what team you are on? (Green, Pink, Blue, Multiple!) - Or are you still waiting to find out?  Two more girls for me (5 girls total for our "little" family)

    7.  Any current cravings or aversions?  Not really

    8. Anything else you want to share this week, or questions, concerns, etc?

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive of you during your pregnancy? Anybody that has been less than supportive ?
Most supportive - DH.  He has been my rock.  Least supportive - My work.  They were absolutely horrid.

I'm with you ladies on the lack of energy and trying to meet caloric intake. I just don't ever feel like eating. it's not because I feel sick, I just never feel hungry. I have to force myself to eat and it's a definite struggle
