I am finally trying PreNatal Yoga. I did Zumba this AM. Later I have to shop for Trunk or Treat, prep for said Trunk or Treat, carve pumpkins, and finish my youngest's costume.

Today I had lunch with a friend and ran some errands to the craft store for baby projects and decor I've decided I need! Definitely nesting now! Later tonight we are going to a Halloween party.
Ive had a lovely day just mooching about town with my husband, we did some shopping, had a late lunch & went to the cinema. We had a realisation when watching the trailers that theres a good few films out next year that we want to see & it wont be quite so easy when we have a little one!
I cleaned the bathroom today and I feel really accomplished. When DS wakes up from his nap, I'm going to pick up a pumpkin pie and I am ridiculously excited about that.
Hopefully after work tomorrow I am going to be finishing some artwork I started a few days ago. I am really sporadic with my drawing so I really want to be able to do something before the month is up. I'd say I wanted to do something Halloween themed as well, but I think that would be being a little too ambitious knowing my motivations levels ^^;
I spent an awesome lazy day with my 2-year-old. We bought pumpkins to carve tomorrow and raked and jumped into piles of leaves in the front yard for hours, then drank hot cocoa. We were basically a cheesy movie family in autumn instead of actual humans today. It was wonderful.
I also had a pumpkin beer. Now that the kiddo's in bed, we're going to watch a scary movie, and I think I'll be able to avoid feeling obligated to do the sex with my husband until tomorrow. It's a GOOD day.
I had a prenatal massage yesterday and it helped my back so much. Tonight we have reservations at a steak house and I'm so excited to get dressed up for it.
I had a very relaxing weekend. MIL came to visit, which meant we went out to a couple of delicious meals, cooked some other delicious meals, and relaxed at home and watched football all day yesterday. She told us she wanted to buy the baby a dresser and crib, so we went shopping on Saturday. We ended up finding a dresser, but not a crib. When she left, she wrote us a check to cover the cost of a crib, plus money for me to buy a few outfits because she knows I need some maternity clothes (so sweet of her!), PLUS money for a weight set (she, H, and my BIL have all been trying to get healthier/lose weight, and H mentioned wanting a weight set), AND money to contribute to a vet bill we have coming up for our cat that H must have mentioned to her in passing. She just does this once in a while - seriously the most generous woman ever.
Just got back from our mini vaca at a cabin in the woods. We had a great time but man am I wiped out!! This was our view out the back of the cabin on our last day
The title of this post (weekend sunshine) always makes me want to cry! I live in Vancouver...where it rains over 200 days of the year...especially on weekends apparently. On a positive note, my daughter has adorable rain gear. Happy Weekend everyone - we've got swimming lessons tomorrow
My mom is coming to visit tomorrow morning! Nails and shopping and quality time together. She pretty much rocks -- both kids are pumped as well, so I'll have to fend them off.
@Gretchypoo that picture of your husband and your father painting is too freaking sweet!! Makes me miss my dad. He's only 15 minutes away but my mom has had this nasty cough so I've been avoiding going to their house the past couple of weeks.
I have a bunch of things to do this weekend. Most of it is paperwork including sending in my ballot. (I wanted to try do some research on the judges. There's so many of them.) But it's warm here today and my apartment is too hot, no wind flow at all, so I'm having trouble breathing. I forgot how nice it is to be back at work and not have to worry about things like this. My husband, on the other hand, has suffered the past 2-3 days in this heat. Poor man. But basically, I don't think I'll be doing anything but laying around today.
@Shawlls it kills me that you posted this crazy cute picture featuring not only an adorable child but also a tiny goat, like it was no big deal. I'd be all, "Check out this GOAT, y'all!!" Actually, I probably wouldn't even mention my kid. Lol.
Love the rain gear! I'm in the Seattle area and we get less rain than you, but still have to pretty much resign ourselves to getting wet and splashing in puddles if we want to breathe fresh air. However, I don't have access to a tiny goat and my kid's rain gear looks like an ill-fitting yellow trash bag, so even with the extra rain, I'm going to call you the lucky one here. Squee.
@Gretchypoo, I just choked on the drink I was having when I saw what you wrote about from that angle your H and dad looking similar and then the picture to back it up. HAHA I don't know why it struck me as so hilarious, I think because we always joke with my sis that her soon to be H and our dad look very similar (from any angle.)
@AfKash@tentacular thank you!! And yes, that is a baby goat upstaging my child. There is a fun little petting zoo farm near us and it's a big hit with the kids and adults. You should see the obese bunnies!
My daughter's favourite song is "rain, rain, go away"....#westcoastliving
My weekend starts tomorrow for me XD I know it doesn't REALLY count, but I am excited none the less. It feels like I've been waiting to take this trip to Seattle forever. Four days visiting my lovely neighbours to the south, and even thought we're going during the scary election of DOOM, I think it will still be a grand old time )
Went to DC this weekend for my nephew's first bday. since his mom shared pics in FB i feel like it's ok for you guys to be able to partake in his absolute adorableness.
This is my husband'a brothers son. And he looks a lot like the men in my H's family. I'm vain enough to pray my son is as cute.
