Monday I have my 35 week appointment and another scan to see if Mr. has flipped or if he is still breech. Then I'm at weekly appointments!
Rants/raves/questions?
Weird question- but can you go into labor without losing your mucous plug? I was induced with DS1 and had no labor signs before it and I didn't know if that's the first sign of labor or if you could go into labor without losing it?
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
GTKY: what are you most looking forward to about having baby here? What worries/scares you the most? I am most worried about splitting my love/time/attention with DS1. SD is 12 and it was an easy job to split attention with her and DS1 because of their age difference. I find most of my anxiety lies in this unknown. I cant wait for baby snuggles and to see him!
@Gizmo1231 Yes and no. It's going to come out at some point, but that could be during labor. Or you can lose it before during some middle of the night in the dark pee run and never know. Our birth class instructor has 4 kids. So only saw her plug with the first.
And fun fact I learned in class, it can regrow. So you could lose it, not go into labor for two weeks, then lose it again.
Upcoming appointments? next Thursday for growth ultrasound. I've been consistently measuring ahead.
Rants/raves/questions?
I have felt terrible the past week with sinus issues that make me very nauseous. It feels like first trimester all over again!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Just the normal aches and pains, I feel so big that food doesn't appeal to me anymore, I just eat because I have to. GTKY: what are you most looking forward to about having baby here? What worries/scares you the most? I'm looking forward to how my husband and son react to her, and not being outnumbered anymore! I don't have any huge worries this time around other than recovering from a second csection with a toddler.
Upcoming appointments? None this week, but this past week we had 2 - the midwife and a growth ultrasound. Our ultrasound tech was so sweet, she let us watch baby for a little while. Baby yawned and stuck out its tongue. We can't wait!! Also, baby's estimated weight was 4.5 pounds! Which might put birth weight at about 8lbs - which is what I was when I was born. Won't get full results, thought, until the next midwife appointment, in about 10 days.
Rants/raves/questions? Just the same one for the last couple of weeks - get me off this ride.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Like @Brittyk12 I am just not into eating food. I get so uncomfortable after eating. I snack throughout the day and I do get hungry, but even drinking a lot of water can make me feel like I'm about to burst.
GTKY: what are you most looking forward to about having baby here? What worries/scares you the most? That I won't be pregnant anymore! I so dislike this that nothing scares me or worries me at this point. Ask me again when I'm giving birth and after baby is here...but as of right now, I just want my baby.
What size is baby? papaya. also, doctor's estimate yesterday was about 6 lbs.
Upcoming appointments? going weekly on Fridays for the next couple weeks
Rants/raves/questions? only one more week of progesterone! I'm already 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced so I'm guessing when I stop the meds, things are going to start happening!!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
GTKY: what are you most looking forward to about having baby here? What worries/scares you the most? looking forward to baby snuggles. and seeing DH as a daddy. worried about being overwhelmed and sleep deprived, but we have a lot of support from our parents, so hopefully we will be ok.
@Gizmo1231 I lost mine before labor like, 4 weeks before my due date, and then again during labor.
How many weeks? 36 weeks
What size is baby? Papaya, a 2L bottle of Mountain Dew, or a power drill. Again, things that don't appear to me to be the same size, so, very confused.
Upcoming appointments? Wednesday. GBS swab and general "How's things?"
Rants/raves/questions? What are all the random old wives tales everyone has for getting labor going/getting your body ready for labor? I am doing raspberry leaf tea every day, and my midwife told me I can start eating 6 dates a day. Within the realm of it being safe, obviously, I would really LOVE to avoid going 2 weeks over this time. Like so bad.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? I do not ever want to see beef again. I made beef stew and I just froze it-I can't even stomach it. I have made three different types of meatballs-nothing. Can't eat it! So weird.
GTKY: what are you most looking forward to about having baby here? What worries/scares you the most? I can't wait to have a little lump that I can stare at while she sleeps! I am most worried about nursing/pumping while DS is running around...if you've done this before, what are your tricks? I super failed at nursing last time and know that pumping can play a big part and don't want to have to miss pumpings because I am worried DS is going to mess with the dogs or throw shoes at the window, lol
Had a second meeting with my doula today. Glad my DH got to meet her, and hopefully he feels less like he will be replaced, just supported. Also happy to hear her say she would be happy to help with photos and with DD in case my Mom isn't there in time to get her.
No great symptom changes. Still have the heartburn, sob, back pain and occasional cramps. Also still too many sweets.
Very excited to meet this baby, and see my dh and DD with new LO. Also excited to see if we will have another daughter or a son. I am pretty concerned about the severe sleep deprivation I had when lo was a newborn, as well as general 2 under 2 struggles.
@jandd2014 & @SmashJam are we all 3 due on 12/3?! I don't do the ticker change updates often enough to notice this apparently!
What size is baby? A Chihuahua haha
Upcoming appointments? Tuesday, will have gbs test and get checked for dilation for the first time.
Rants/raves/questions? rant - I'm just so easily exhausted. Even when I have a little energy it's gone after doing a few Small things around the house. So jealous of anyone who's having real energy and able to accomplish things!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? cant stop eating apples and grapes. So delicious!
GTKY: what are you most looking forward to about having baby here? What worries/scares you the most? looking forward to every single thing about him being here! Feels like I've waited years! What worries me most- how much family is going to overwhelm us on delivery day. And going back to work. Ugh can't even think about it!
What size is baby? canary melon? He's the size of a baby.
Upcoming appointments? The 16th? It'll be my first weekly appointment.
Rants/raves/questions?
My face just started swelling yesterday. And my hands and feet are getting bad. I'm just in so much pain. My feet or hands are constantly aching. My hands now have full on carpel tunnel. Everything hurts and dying.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? I don't want chicken again, like in first trimester. I want other people to make my food, it tastes better!
GTKY: what are you most looking forward to about having baby here? What worries/scares you the most? Holding and snuggling, I can't wait to stare at his little personality all the time. I'm most worried about just getting him out safely, and keeping me safe. It's my 3rd c-section and I'm freaking out a little bit.
