    2. I am with @berg on feeling meh. I have on and off nausea pretty much all day every day. Having some major food aversions and smells are killing me.

    3. Today! It went well and everything is looking normal.

    4.  I am just so excited to get a puppy! We officially get to bring him home on the 13th and will be going to pick him out from the litter this weekend. Rather than think about kid names I am thinking about puppy names.

@berg your husband is adorable – we are on kiddo #2 and I’m like – where did that sweet guy who took care of me with #1 go? I guess he’s busy taking care of a toddler and keeping up on housework while I lay miserably on the couch.

     5. GTKY: Now. We usually decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving because we have family in town for Thanksgiving and we travel for Christmas. Thanksgiving is our only chance to show off our tree - might be a little different this year with a puppy, kitten, and toddler.

@Elyse1384 I am so sorry you feel so crummy – hopefully it starts to clear up at the start of the second trimester <3

@ClaireCF tell us how the grandparent announcement goes – so exciting! Is this their first grandbaby?

@delujm0 glad your appointment went well today!

@motherofdragons the election stress is real….and holy shit half marathon, you go girl!

  • @Mother0fDragons A half marathon?  Get it girl!  That's awesome. Good for you!  I was pumped when I got off my now ever growing ass on Sunday to run a measly two miles.
@delujm0 "no dickbag"  I love it.  And why is soup so good?  Soup and saltines and ginger ale are my life right now.
@ClaireCF When I was in college I would eat a row of saltines while studying.  I really thought they were a healthy snack.  Which I mean maybe they aren't horrible if you eat like 3, but a whole row.  Saltines and a hot chocolate (low fat of course), my books were covered in crumbs.  I never understood why I was like 20 pounds heavier than in high school (and after college for that matter).  I was so dumb and sloppy.  That is the cutest idea for a reveal too!!  I love it!
@Elyse1384 I hear ya on the pretty, happy preggers out there.  I can't wait to tell my mom so when she asked me how I feel I can yell at her.  She used to tell me how wonderful pregnancy was.  How she never felt healthier than when she was pregnant.  Are you kidding me lady?  My 'glow' is giving me non-stop pimples.  My hair for some reason looks so blah and almost greasy which is just depressing.  Once you add in the bloat, I just want to curl up in bed forever.

  • @lmc929 A puppy!!!  YAY!  We want a dog so bad, but our apartment only allows cats.  You'll have to post a pic once you get him/her!  And as far as decorating with animals.  My parents get big trees, about 12 feet without the stand.  The tree sits in a corner and takes up the room, it's wonderful.  One year the 75lb bulldog chased the 10lb cat under and around the tree.  I was sitting on the opposite side shaking presents.  Thank goodness for the couch behind me which kept the tree from smashing me.  I was just surrounded by broken ornaments.  Instead of scaling back my dad put two anchors in the wall and now ties the tree up every year.  And I learned a very valuable lesson about shaking your presents.  Hopefully your animals are better behaved (but the kitten will probably climb the tree)!
  • How far along are you? 7 weeks 3 days

How are you feeling? I’m super bloated.  Also, I puked for the first time last night.  I’m thinking it was just because I had a really long day yesterday and was in the car for a long time.  Also, my hair is really oily.  I have to use so much dry shampoo.

Anyone have an appointment this week? U/s tomorrow!

Rants/Raves/Randoms I had a big work event that I was over today, and it was really successful!   It went a lot better than I expected, and we had a great turnout.  I’m pretty excited about it, still!

GTKY: When do you feel it's appropriate to start decorating for Christmas/Hanukkah?  We’re hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year, so I’ll leave all the fall stuff up until then.  But, the day after Thanksgiving, I will be putting up Christmas stuff and watching Gilmore Girls!  (I am thinking about putting up one tree either this weekend or next weekend.  It’s in a room I can close off from the rest of the house, so it won’t be too Christmasy for Thanksgiving.)

  • @berg That’s so sweet of your DH!  I’m almost to the point of saying I’m not disabled to my DH, too.  He yelled at me for picking up a pumpkin the other day.

When I lived in an apartment in college, it was like Christmas threw up in our apartment.  We found a place for all of the Christmas decorations, including 2 trees!

@MotherofDragos Good luck on your race Saturday!!  I definitely don’t think I could do that right now.

@lmc929 Yay for a new puppy!! They are the best!

  • @lmc929 They're both so cute!!  We had a really hard time picking out our puppy almost 2 years ago.  We "visited" the puppies once before we got to take our puppy home.  When we went to pick our puppy up, all of the puppies went outside and were kind of wandering a little bit, and we ended up choosing the one that didn't really want to leave our sides to wander as much.  We took that as a sign that he was meant to be our puppy and that he chose us.

  • @lmc929 ahh look at those little fluffs! I love them! DH has a half sister with two kids so my father in law has grandkids, and my mother in law is definitely considered a grandparent to them but this will technically be her first grandbaby. The other two are in middle and high school now too so there hasn't been a new one in a long time!

  • By the way @lmc929, you have better wwillpower than me - I'd take them both home!
  • @lmc929 I agree with @Sirius37 I'd take them both!  So adorable!

@sirius37 that is the cutest idea for a reveal!  I hope it went well :)
  • @Sirius37 and @berg I'd take them both too - if they weren't expensive and enormous  :D
