Your voting plans for US folks

Hi all. I'm curious about all your voting plans, because I'm kind of a voting junkie. My gramma was very into politics and did campaigning and fundraising events with local politicians. I've never missed an election since I was eligible, including midterms.

I am hoping to go to my local office tomorrow to vote early in person. There is no way I'm going to survive a line as long as I'm expecting next week, even if the elementary kids are selling snacks in line.

PS If we could keep this politics free, that would be fantastic. I'm just interested in hearing about different strategies to get your vote out.

I've been trying to research how to vote early and I don't think you can in Missouri. Other than absentee ballot. So I guess I'll slug 2 toddlers with me to vote which sounds like torture. Hopefully I can go in an off time when its not as busy.

I'll just go first thing in the morning, as soon as they open. DH can leave for work when I get back.

We always make it a family thing, we get up really early and go as soon as they open on election day with our two kiddos, who get to help us, and then we go out to breakfast before work.

That's a good idea. Maybe I can go early before my DH goes to work. He has to vote by absentee ballot because we moved and somehow his location didn't get updates but my did.

I have the day off, since my boys' schools are polling places they'll be off with me. I'll probably take them sometime during the day, not early morning or late afternoon when it's a little busier. Hopefully they are not too loudly vocal about their opposition to "Dino Chomp." (Sorry, I find this too funny not to share). Definitely going to have to have a talk with them about how inside the voting booth should be a secret. I love bringing my kids and explaining the process to them.

My state doesn't have early voting.

I can't decide when to go. I wanna go at 6am when they open but I have to be at work by 645 so I'm not sure I'll make it. If we go after work we will tag team the kiddo and take turns voting. Lol

My husband and I voted on Saturday. Totally thankful to get that out of the way, and I would rather put my focus on my 2nd ultrasound that afternoon.

@JessyKV I was looking up early voting for my
dad-he lives in Springfield, MO-and I was bummed to find out he will have to take on those lines Nov. 8th. Hope your precinct moves people through quickly.

My husband and I already voted this past Friday. No wait, we had studied the ballots prior to going so it took 5 minutes. My husband held my son while he was voting. Super easy and super grateful for early voting in Florida!

I did early voting this past Saturday morning. Since I got there early, there were no lines and I was in and out in 5 minutes. Very glad that I don't have to deal with the crowds on Election day

I live in a really small town, so luckily I won't have to worry about long lines. We also use paper ballots like a scantron and put them in the counting machine. I'll probably just go when I get off work.

I plan on voting sometime this week since DH and I are flying out this Friday and will be out of state until after Nov. 8th. I mentioned it to my boss and she was super cool about it and even sent me an email with early voting locations ( which I needed). Besides, beating massive lines is a win too!

I want to try to go sometime this week. I really don't want to deal with the lines like I did when I went on election day last year, I'm sure this year would be even longer

I went early last week on Thursday. Glad to have it done and out of the way. On side night, two Saturday's ago I had my first ever political survey over the phone. Very interesting questions!!

DH and I did our absentee ballot a few nights ago after DS's bedtime. I'm so glad I'm done! It took us 45 minutes to get through it all! I'm a CA resident and we had to vote on so many big ones besides the presidential candidacy this election. Now I just have to avoid political convos at all cost so I don't get voter's remorse

I'll go after work on Tuesday. Our polling place is open until 9 ish, and usually not super busy later in the evening.

Where I work gives us time off to vote. I will vote early in the morning and probably bring my son before dropping him at daycare. Ive brought him for the locals and the primary voting. My mom always brought us to teach us about the process. She had two main rules once we turned 18... if we wanted to live at home we needed a job and we needed to vote.

I usually leave work a little early on election days and head to my polling place, both kids in tow. I typically print the ballot beforehand so I can make decisions before heading to the polls. It usually makes the process so much easier for me.

In Colorado we pretty much vote by mail in ballot - so we already voted over a week ago.

Absentee ballot for us since we're overseas, so I voted by mail already.

Though a non-Mbf to Virginia for making the absentee ballot .pdf 3 different sizes of paper so printing that was a challenge, especially in a country that doesn't have "letter" and "legal."

I work in the courthouse, so I voted early during lunch last week. Easy peasy!
