Finally told FIL we're expecting

and the first thing the a$$ asked was "is it normal?" 

DH said "what do you mean?"

 And FIL goes "You know, was it natural or was it um, what the word I'm looking for in, invert. . . "

DH says "you mean in vitro?  Yes, does it matter?" 

FIL said "how does that work?" instead of saying it doesn't matter. 

DH bluntly said "they take an egg and a sperm and they mix them in a dish and then they put it back in" 

Ugh.  I knew this was coming and that's why we didn't tell anyone that we were going thru with IVF let alone using a donor egg.  I'm glad he was the last one we told.  The rest of DH's family found out on New Year's Day when they were all together and the only one that truly seemed excited was our SIL.
