My local news station reported that BC/BS of Alabama will be reducing its coverage of breast pumps to $228 to $98 beginning November 1.  I'm not really sure what it means for me, but it doesn't sound good!

We agreed to take DS trick or treating in my in laws neighborhood tonight. This is all well and good, but my MIL (lovingly) completely overwhelms me with her obsession with our DS and now I have to spend my whole day mentally preparing for tonight.

I love her, and she and my FIL are awesome grandparents but something changed once I had DS that makes me feel all weird when she gets overly obsessed or won't stop telling me to look at DS and whatever he is doing or how "darn cute" he is 700 billion times in a 2 hour span. I apprecaite and love her, but it's just TOOOO damn much for my personal feels.
    So, mentally preparing it is.

I'm HUGE. Is it really too early for me to be showing? I'm 9 weeks and I look pregnant if I don't wear a really big shirt.

@wifeinraleigh28 everyone shows at different times! Usually right now it's a mixture of bump and bloat! I'll be 10 weeks on Thursday and I have a blump (bloat-bump). Some days it's smaller, other days it's bigger. This is baby #2 though so it was to be expected!

Anddddd DD is sick.  I swear either one of my kids, both of my kids or I get sick on every holiday or day where we have something special planned.  Luckily she is way too young to miss going Trick or Treating, but major bummer and so typical of my family's luck.  Somehow DH avoid everything though.

Technically yes....the uterus doesn't get big enough to extend past the public bone until closer to 12 weeks.  mostly bloat right now.  I feel it too, I look gross.  my pilates instructor is going to start asking questions soon I'm afraid.

With my first pregnancy I looked solidly fat but not actually pregnant until roughly halfway through.  DH noticed I didn't look normal earlier than that, but even my close friends didn't think much of it until at least 16-18 weeks.

@wifeinraleigh28 I'm pretty sure we can't really be showing yet. I think the earliest is around 12 weeks. But the bloating is real. I look noticeably larger than normal in the morning but I look very pregnant at night after dinner. It doesn't even seem to matter if it was a small dinner. Just simply eating at night seems to cause insane amounts of bloating. I feel like someone inflated a balloon in my stomach. It's awful. So I totally feel your pain. I'd say I look about 10 pounds, at least, above my pre pregnancy weight but I'm actually under my pre pregnancy weight thanks to nausea and food aversions.

Is this your second? I think I read that you show much earlier the second time around since your uterus begins to reshape to what it did before.

otherwise, love it up!! You have the rest of your life to be skinny or whatever you want.

@wifeinraleigh28 I swear these IF meds we're on do some crazy shit.  I put on 3lbs leading up to my FET (you may recall I had all those delays with insurance so I ended up being on estradiol for an obscene amount of time).  Nothing changed in my diet and if anything I ate less since I just wasn't feeling great.  The bloat is horrible.

@Wino0920 Nope, this is my first, so I don't even have that excuse. Ugh!

@Elyse1384 Good point about the IF meds. After a year of treatments I'm surprised I'm not even more huge than I am. But if I don't wear big clothes I'm worried I'll get a lot of looks at work because my blump is no joke.

@devow27 My MIL was the exact same way when I had my DD. It was way too much for me. I'm her mom, I get it, but stop. I had to actually ask her to please cut the talk about the baby or I was going to lose my mind.

This is my father in law. Anything my kid does is amazing to him. He thinks my son says grandpa all the time. The kid doesn't even talk yet, he is just barely a year old. When he was first born he asked me if I thought he could spend the night when he turned a month old. No. Absolutely not. Glad for my son to have a grandpa that loves him so much, but calm down, dude!

Glad I'm not the only one! It's such a double edge sword because, she's amazing and DS is so lucky to have her. There's just something about it that makes my mama hairs stand up. I've talked to my mom at length about it because sometimes I let it get to me TOO much. I have to make a large effort to just be thankful and happy she's so loving (which I am 100%!) But sometimes it's just like...STOP IT LADY. Enough! I know he's amazing, I grew him and gave birth to him. Haha.

She was great tonight (for the most part).

We shared the news with my in laws last night.  My FIL hugged me so tight that my boobs were squished on his chest.  Then he rubbed my belly and even bent down to kiss it.  It all happened so quickly that I didn't even know how to react.  He says he'll visit me on his days off so he can rub my belly and talk to the baby.

He makes me so uncomfortable.  He's done creepy stuff to me in the past.  I tell DH everytime and he just says FIL doesn't have those intentions.  They are a touchy feely family but this is over the line!

@lumilumi  UGH I feel for you about that feeling creepy. I'm not one to be touched and people ignoring my personal space, touching my pregnant belly is SO not allowed. I've been known to grab people back or clutch my belly while turning away and yelling "whoa"!!

    Don't. Touch. The. Belly.
