Lost baby at almost 14 weeks

Hi everyone. This was my third pregnancy and this is the first time I have ever posted online. Here's my story: I had some cramping last week and went in to the doctor just to check. She couldn't find the heartbeat. She did an in-office ultrasound and confirmed it. I am just beyond lost. I had just had my first trimester screening the week before. The baby was active with a perfect heartbeat of 172. All of my blood work and chromosomal testing came back great. I had no symptoms. I have two boys already. We wanted to be surprised with the sex of this baby. However, I found out the day I went to the hospital that we were having a girl. My husband and family are trying so hard to be supportive. I appreciate them so much, but I now feel like part of me is missing.

@jlochba, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts go out to your and your family. Losses are so very hard, having experienced one myself I can say that it was helpful for me to talk to others about it. You'll be surprised to find how many others have either suffered a loss or knows a loved one who has. While this doesn't make your pain any less, it does help with getting your life and strength back.

I'm so sorry. I lost my first after a normal dating ultrasound and strong heartbeat. It's just unfathomable and there's no explanation. Please take good care of yourself. Let others help you too, even if they don't understand what you're feeling. And whatever you do, do NOT blame yourself. Thoughts and prayers with you. You will make it through this. Like @doozenberg said, mamas of angel babies are surprisingly everywhere, sadly. There's lots of support if you need it.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost a boy at 14 weeks and part of me will always feel a gap in my heart but we tried again and are now 15 weeks pregnant and hoping everything is healthy with this pregnant. Take time to grieve and let yourself feel all the emotions. And be extra kind and senseitove with yourself.

I am so sorry. You are not alone. This happened to me in 2012. It was so awful. I had 3 u/s prior and baby looked great. I'll ne thinking of you as you heal physically and emotionally.

I am so sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you and your family. I hope you take time to grieve and heal from this. I cannot begin to understand the feeling of this type of loss, but I have dealt with many losses in my life. Ask for help when you need it, and don't be afraid to talk to others and be honest. Take all the time you need.
