IVF pregnancy- PIO shots?!?

We began our progesterone shots on the 8th of Sept. before our FET. That, the estradoil inserts, the estrogen pills for the last 49-50 days have become something I'm used to and part of my routine. Doctor wanted us to continue the meds through week 8. Today is the start of my 9th week and all the meds ended yesterday. I think I have become used to them and am missing the routine already, plus I felt that they gave me some relief from all the worry and concern. I am little crampy today and don't know if it's all in my head or if I'm just going through withdrawl.. sorta joking, but not really.

Anyone want to share their experience with this?

Hi! I also did IVF. I did the progesterone suppositories however . (Disgusting lol) and the estrogen . I'm on week 8. My doctor has me on it till week 11 but yesterday he started weening me off and each week I'll take less and less . If he has you off at week 8 your levels must be high so that's a good sign! How far along are you? Your cramps may be just ligament stretching pain he said that's normal!!

I'm using progesterone suppositories and estrogen patches until the end of 9 weeks. I can't wait to stop the medications and feel "normal" again. Your placenta supposedly takes over production of these hormones at 8 weeks. Trust your body to know how to take care of baby. As moms, we never stop worrying. I say enjoy our pregnancies!

I'm on PIO and estrace until the day I hit 10 weeks... so a little more than a week to go. I agree, it's going to be weird stopping all the meds, but they wouldn't have us stop if it wasn't okay to do so! I admit though, I am so ready to stop the PIO. I don't think my butt will ever be the same!

How were the shots?? The suppositories were fine however what comes out of of me is disgusting. TMI? Lol....can't wait to finish.

@xomarisaxo The shots are okay, not as bad as they sound but they can make your muscles a bit sore on occasion. But no discharge. Either option really isn't so fun haha. I did suppositories with my IUIs and I really don't know which way I prefer since I don't like either option!
