Re: FFFC

  • I am feeling so awful (exhausted and really stomach sick). We have a weekend full of fun plans and all I want to do is cancel and crawl into bed.
  • mamaelle27 that's what I had to do last weekend. We had to bail on our friend's Halloween party because I couldn't even get myself out of my pajamas on Saturday. Just pure exhaustion!

I have the day off but I sent my son to daycare for the morning so I could take a nap and a long shower.

This is the best.  I have Veteran's Day off of work, and daycare is open, and DH has to work, and you bet your ass DD will be at daycare.  Probably not for her normal 8 hours, but for at least 6 of them.  I am going to nap and it is going to be amazing.

not sure how eating things and resting are confessions? Lol!

The teaching thing is hilarious. Someone has to have something really juicy.

@mombod I've been guilty of the same before. No shame!

I've had pizza for lunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch...and my in laws just called and said they'd like to bring pizza for dinner before they head up north....
That's 5 meals of pizza and I'm not complaining.  :#
    I'm jealous.

Sorry just don't think those are bad.  You should eat what you want and sleep when you want. That's not being a rebel.
  • @Wino0920 I have to agree with this. Feed yourselves, ladies! Don't be ashamed!

I'll go... I have the most perfect baby boy at home 15 months old and I'm terrified that this new baby will distract from him and how much love we pour on him everyday. This baby was planned and prayed for  and I'm sure I'm gonna love him/her but I can't wrap my head around loving someone else as much as I love #1 and seriously how can another baby be nearly as cute/perfect?? Another layer... I was also terrified when I found out I was having #1. I'm just terrible with change and adjusting. I know once this one is here I will love them both and they will both be amazing.

Lesser offense: I literally cannot stop eating. Anyone want to send me a pizza?!
  • @devow27 I'm actually quite jealous.
  • @neludelu Before I had my son I was so scared that my husband would love him more than he loved me. And even though we had planned for him, I was really stressed my husband wouldn't pay attention to me.

It's funny to think about that looking back. Because it doesn't matter one bit to me now. And my relationship is even better when we became parents.

I am also feeling similar to what you've described. I can't imagine this magnitude of love for another little person.

Nothing flame-worthy about this.  I'm jealous.
I had TOTALLY planned on this today, but then DS woke up with croup. At 1am, 2am, 4am, and 6am. So effing tired. So jealous.

  • I'm jealous of all you eating pizza. It is totally not in our budget this month.

I felt the same way. My first son was amazing. People were in awe of how he slept through the night ever since coming home from the hospital. Never cried. All of it.

Then my second came and boom I laughed at myself. I loved him so much! it didn't matter if he was like or not like DS1, he was perfect.
  • I'm terrified of the possibility of having twins as a first-time mom.  What if I can't handle it? What if we can't afford daycare?  I'll be blessed either way, but I know it would be a challenge.

Thanks @acrose0226, nice to know I'm not alone!
  • I have a daycare, and I couldn't handle the smell of one kids diaper so I wrapped a scarf around my face. First tri makes my job brutal sometimes
  • @neludelu , @Wino0920 - I feel you. DD is such a sweet baby and we desperately want her to have a sibling but now I'm like, what if this baby isn't as good, what if it ruins DD's life? I'm sure it'll all work out when the baby is actually here, but I worry about this every single day. It doesn't help that I've been feeling awful and I feel like I'm wasting my "last months" alone with DD.
  • I ate a medium rare steak yesterday. I forgot about that until like halfway through. I finished it though.

I'm even more terrified of having them as a STM! Going from 1 -> 3 would be INSANITY. (Note - ob doesn't think it's twins, and there's no reason to think we're having them. Just a panic!)

I did that while in the office today. No shame.

Edited becuse I can't spell on Fridays
  • I'm the most terrified of twins lol. 4 kids is a lot anyhow, 5 would be... just no. I have no reason to expect them, except that my symptoms are stronger this time and my mom and husband keep 'joking' about twins.

  • I didn't give bathe my son tonight even though he played outside majority of the day. I'm exhausted and he will survive.
  • @owensmom0807 haha same.  I gave each of their faces a once over with a baby wipe and called it a day.  It is sheet washing day tomorrow anyway.   ;)

  • I taught my 8th graders about situational irony today by tricking them with a jump scare video. They definitely learn what it is through this technique, but really I just enjoy making them jump and scream.
  • @Assiram42 I am also eating so much Raisen Bran! My baby is seriously made of Raisen Bran right now.

Also, my cat loves it for some reason and won't leave me the fuck alone whenever I dig in.
  • I have never seen Gilmore Girls. But I'm saving it to binge watch on my maternity leave.

I'm also terrified of having twins, but more so because that would make this my last pregnancy, and that makes me sad.

  • Here's my confession (albeit tame):

I just want to spend Thanksgiving with MY side of the family and skip dealing with my MIL. I know we're supposed to share our great news with everyone, but I so just wanna phone it in...
