Following a few of yesterdays uo's .......

i have a substantial collection of designer shoes & handbags (including a pair of ysl tribute sandals that i have never once worn but couldnt pass cause they were too pretty & on sale).

i have also never gone commando - the very thought of not wearing knickers outside of my bedroom gives me the creeps

@Janefelicity i am right there with you on the designer shoes. i am completely obsessed it's my one thing. I never got into handbags thankfully. I have several that haven't been worn or worn in years. I blame NYC. It's impossible to walk in 5in heels here. I am keeping all of them for the time when either I drive a car again, or we are so rich that we take a car everywhere in the city.

are the tributes your fave?

as far as commando there was a span of probably 5 years where I never wore underwear.

@krob my absolute favourites are a pair of patent louboutin biancas which i cant walk in so dont get out too often but have gotten most wear out of my wedding shoes which were champagne jimmy choo lunas & my husband bought me the matching clutch as a wedding present.
even before i found out im having a little girl ive been fantasising about the sophia webster & charlotte olympia mum & baby matching shoes. Not sure i can justify that amount of money on a pair of baby shoes which may only fit for a week!

This is a confession from yesterday. I let my daughter sit on the floor and watch tv with a bowl of dry Honey Nut Cheerios, a piece of left over pizza, milk----and a piece of fudge because that was the only way she wouldn't throw fits and I just did not have it in me to deal with it yesterday morning.

Usually I use the house/remodel as a tool to get terrifyingly behind at work, and then use work as a tool to get terrifying behind @ the house. I have achieved both!

I'd peg myself at a 4.5. Luckily, today I helped by sleeping in, 'working from home', and so far have drank a coffee & stared at internets. I did make a list! I see myself nailing this parenting thing.

I have never used twitter, instagram or snapchat and I have no interest in using them or learning how to use them.

I also have a ridiculous amount of purses and shoes. Nothing too over the top but still worth a lot of money if I calculate how much I spent on each item.

The ONLY reason I got dressed Wednesday was so I could get a HDBD pic. Yesterday I had to get ready for trick or treating, and today I'm volunteering for the "fall harvest" (Halloween) parties at school. Apparently I need to keep up a busy schedule in order to do the basics (like getting dressed) in life.

Oh I have 2 confessions... so I finally bought those icecream cones I cried twice about so yesterday I ate 2!!

I don't have money to be a designer whore. I wonder if I would be one if I had money. The only designer stuff I have were given as gifts.

FFFC: I don't wear heels. I hate them. The highest i will wear, is one inch. So uncomfortable. I'm super grateful I don't need to wear them. I don't know how guys do it.

@AfKash I am a big high heel person, well I was pre sahm status.

These were the heels at my wedding, they were 5 inches but some of that was platform.

I'm a whopping 60 inches tall, so you'd think I wear heels. Nope. I have a few 1.5 inchers that I wear sporadically, but I pretty much only have one pair:

I got them for our wedding, and I've worn them maybe once a year since. They're only 3.5 inch, but I've broken the bone above my pinkie toe in these suckers.

Confession #1 I let my DS watch YouTube Kids as much as he wants. Pre pregnancy I was Hitler mom and said if he couldn't find something on the Kids Netflix or on Disney Jr he was out of luck. I can't stand YouTube because it is complete nonsense and mostly made up of adults playing with kids toys. It shuts him up and it is a great leveraging tool. Watch away kid, watch away.

Confession #2 We had a Halloween lunch at my office today I have had about 3 pieces of dessert too many. That includes the pumpkin chocolate chip cupcake I "quality controlled" prior to lunch.

Oh oh and I'm way behind, but I saw the posts about going commando above and it made me giggle. I feel weird not wearing underwear and I learned a lesson from a friend who never wears them. She used to always brag about not wearing underwear and then One night proceeded to fall down my stairs wearing a skirt. Everyone saw her hooha. She has never lived that down and it was 7 years ago. Panties for the win.

This confession comes courtesy of the AW thread. My husband and I got married young and pretty soon after meeting each other...we were still in college. While my wedding was great and the best day of my life til having my daughter, I wouldn't have picked any of it. From the dress to the music to the venue the list goes on and on I would have done everything differently. I felt so much pressure from my mom and sister to choose what they thought was right and I'm pretty easy going (and a pushover) so I went along with it all.

I tell my husband for our ten year we'll renew our vows and throw a huge party like I would have wanted to have for my actual wedding.

@jstringfellow19, same! She has the you tube kids app, and this summer while I was dying of morning sickness I let her watch all day long some days. Oops. Good thing school started and my nausea went away! lol

@Starfish113 last night he was watching a video with a kid and dad about "toilet monsters" and not only was the toilet dirty, but the dad demonstrated like every aspect of how a toilet works. I was like what's are you watching!?!?!? I guess if your kid wants to be a plumber that is a great video. I just rolled my eyes and went about my business. What can you do?

I have felt nauseous with an upset stomach since lunchtime, but have too busy of a schedule to go home. Actually starting to feel better but already told DH that I wasn't feeling well and that he would probably be taking the kids to the Halloween costume party at school without me. My in-laws are here and can go with them for help. Would love some alone couch time.

Right? I just spent $50 on a couple of sweaters at target and I already feel guilty.

I guess my fffc is that Sesame Street has been my baby sitter this entire pregnancy. It's educational and my kid loves Elmo so, whatever.

+1 to being a label whore, especially for Michael Kors. I'm not much of a designer shoe person, I love shoes, but idc who makes them. But I'm a big ole handbag/sunglasses snob.

FFFC: I went to my routine doctors appointment today. I wrote my name on the little pee cup, went to pee, and emptied my bladder completely forgetting the cup was in my hand. I told the nurse I just legit forgot and she had a good chuckle and told me it happens more than one would think. But I felt like such a dumbass.

I might still own a pair of heels but they're buried back so far in the closet I don't remember what they actually look like. I don't own any purses, but I expect I'll need at least something with a kid on the way. I just got so used to only carrying wallet/phone/keys and get grumpy that work goes through purses and bags at the end of each shift--they don't go through pockets.

I have no real fashion sense so rely on my basic black-gray-blue colors in casual clothes to get me by. Lots of t-shirts and bluejeans here

I think I own like one pair of actual heels, and I mean like skinny 4 inch tall ones. I have a pair of "kitten heels" as they were called that I wore for my wedding, but they're like half an inch tall and certainly not thin. I've always been heavier set so walking in heels gets mega uncomfortable or me.

My confession is that I've been all about the carbs today, holy hell. French toast for breakfast, chips for a snack, and two homemade pizza pretzels for dinner. I know I needs to watch my sugars, and carbs turn into nothing but sugar, but I just couldn't help it today.

Late to the heels party, but can I just add that I'm loving the return of the stacked heel? I have been wearing leggings to work every day, dress code be damned (with a tunic to cover my butt- don't worry!), and a cute pair of heeled ankle boots always makes me feel like I look so much more put together than any of my flat boots. I have two great pairs from my BFF Target that are going to get worn thin this season.

I have so little to add to fashion conversations. I am the worst. I've been 5' 8" since ninth grade so I was too self conscious to wear heels in HS and by the time I was an adult flats were cool. I have 1-2 pairs that are comfortable enough for weddings when I'm not pregnant, but that's it.

For purses, I am also a cheap Target girl left to my own devices. However, my beautiful, stylish mom who had no clue how she produced such a tomboy tends to give me one from the Coach outlet for my birthday every couple of years. I love them and they are completely worth the money since they last so long. They're actually probably more cost effective than getting a Target purse every six months.

I do not wear heels, they hurt. I really just live in saddles till the snow comes out then uggs. I have no fashion for my feet are very practical. But purses love purses coach, Kate spade, Vera Bradley yes!

I used to have an awesome heel collection but now I'm down to maybe 8 pairs since I don't wear them much. Mostly Aldo or from Target. I do have a pair of my beloved Manolos that I bought 10 years ago when I was at a far different income level lol. Blahnik definitely knows how to shape a woman's leg!

I used to wear heals all of the time in highschool etc. but then I married someone who is barely 3 inches taller than me and I didn't want to be taller than him with heels(not that he would care) and then I had our first at 21. Now I rarely wear heels at all. I still have some pairs although recently this summer I did a lot of purging since it seemed pointless to keep all these heels I never wore and that were like 10yrs old style wise. Lol. Maybe someday I'll get back to wearing them more. Maybe when I'm not toting a small child, or all the groceries myself etc
