I used to match my under wear and bras a long time ago. Now, it's all I can do to occasionally throw out the undies with the elastic coming out. Im currently rocking mismatched socks. Same kind but different colored stripes. These UO are so interesting today! Im trying to think of one myself but so far I got nothing.
DH and I were 300 miles apart for 6 months before we got married while he finished up school, the only time I ever matched my underwear was when I was sending sexy pics. Now that we're married, it's coming off anyway so who cares. lol
I also never liked Blink 182, No Doubt, or the Offspring - all of which staples in my OC high school experience!
Don't worry, these were also staples of my frigid New England high school experience. I liked Tragic Kingdom when it came out, but I was super young then. Other than that I'm with you on all three.
My UO: I do not like Disney World, and I think it's overpriced and overrated. DH and I currently have a pact that we will not take our kids there unless they are old enough to find out about it on their own, and ask to go.
Also I think calling it the happiest place on earth is a joke; I have seen tons of screaming, overtired children in that place.
My heart hurts reading this one. DH and I are actually leaving in the morning to go to Disney for a few days! I love it there so much more as an adult. Although I can definitely understand the hate towards it. I'm sure once we take our kids there it won't be as fun as just the two of us. DH and I hardly wait in line at all because of their new fast pass system and we booked the hotel back in April when they had their fall sale going on so we are going for a great price! I am a big Disney fan.

A few months ago I stumbled upon an ad for a Disney cruise with the stops at different islands etc and I was like we need to go NOW. Of course it's expensive as f*ck but I can dream, right?

DH and I just happened to find a good priced Disney cruise for our first anniversary. They had lowered the price because it was only a few weeks away and over Mother's Day. IT. WAS. AMAZING. Way better than going to the parks. There was so much adult only stuff that we didn't feel out of place not having kids. They treat you like royalty. We had been on a carnival cruise for our honeymoon and the two didn't even come close to comparing. But I totally agree the cruises are normally ridiculously expensive!
Husband and I love Disneyland. It's wildly expensive, but was worth it when we took our 5-year old in January with his 1-year old brother (who did awesome and got in free and could go on tons of rides on our laps). Not a huge fan of the food, except churros and dole whips.
Ew to RHCP. I've been on an early '00s end binge lately. These poor babies are going to be angsty and whiny and poetic.
UO: I think kids should have way less/no homework. I saw a teacher's blog where she assigned a checklist or weekly tic tac toe board of activities like "prepare and eat a meal with family", "read a book to a friend or sibling", "take a walk outdoors and write in a journal about it", "listen to a new kind of music", etc. I know it can't always be done, but I thought it was an awesome concept. I taught for 7 years and would totally try it, even with my high schoolers.
I know!! But I am a total dork with hippie parents and I grew up listening to The Band, CCR, Beatles, Stones, etc. etc. so I def didn't fit in with my friends on musical tastes at all.
I looooove disney. I am okay with all u guys not liking it because that means it will be less crowded for me I try and go every other year to either disneyland or disneyworld.
I didn't know matching bras and undies was actually a thing... Well my DH doesn't care, if he's looking at my undies they aren't on long enough to matter I guess!

I've never been to Disney My parents made us go on educational vacations like Gettysburg. I mean they threw some fun in there too but nothing like Disney. I hope we can take our kids someday but I guess I survived so they will too if we can't swing it.

Another anti-Disney vote here. My husband loves Disney and took me to Disneyland for the first time for a long weekend when we were dating. I was excited to go, but found the whole thing a huge let-down. I was bored out of my skull. I pretended to have more fun than I did because I didn't want to let him down, but it all felt so tedious to me. Even sneaking in a big bottle of cranberry juice liberally spiked with vodka only helped a little bit to take the edge off the endless dullness. Maybe I needed two bottles? Since we've been married (and I apparently care less about letting him down), I've made it clear that I would never go back as part of an adult vacation.
That said, I will definitely be taking my kiddos when they're older. It might be dull for me, but I know my son would love every minute of it. Watching him experience that delight and magic sounds like it might actually bring some magic into the place for me, too. I can't wait to watch his sweet face light up as he looks at all the contrived crap I find so dumb and tedious, lol.
Edited to add: HUGE kudos to all you ladies who match your bras and panties. That is the kind of woman I'd aspire to be if I didn't know 100% that I'm not capable of it. I'm just so, so, so lazy. So lazy.
I've been to Disneyland and DisneyWorld but only for very brief trips. Didn't hate it, didn't love my little sister whining. What I will say is absolutely magical is the Disney Cruise! We went when I was a teenager, and I had a blast. I Definitely plan on taking my kids on that. Why? Because they have onboard daycare that has fun kids activities, and an entire deck for adults only. Yes, I don't mind if I do book a spa day while my kids have tea with Cinderella.
+1 to not being in to designer anything. The cheaper, the better. Ross for life.
I don't care too much about brands but I buy well made leather designer purses bc they last so much longer. I'd rather pay $$$ for a purse that will last 10 years than $$ for a purse that lasts a season. Even cheap purses cost 35!
That being said, Dillards new year sale is the way to buy purses around here. 70% off Brahmin? YES PLEASE!
@LivingLaVidaGinger we just took LO to Disneyland for the first time and I felt the exact same way! Standing in line with a screaming toddler for an hour and a half to ride Dumbo for 2 minutes was a joke!
Disney is amazing, we just got back yesterday. Dd has been 3 times and she is 18 months. It is so kid friendly and pregnant people friendly. As long as you use the fastpasses your wait in line is minimal. It was nice to take dd somewhere before she was walking and take her on rides. And Disney cruises are top notch. They don't compare to anyone else, it's the old saying, ' you get what you pay for'.
In regards to matching undergarments, that ish never happens unless it is coincidence. I am weird about my pj tops matching my underwear though.
I don't think I've ever matched my bra and panties, like EVER. I have to get my bras at plus sized stores simply because my tits have always been HUGE -_-. I'm not a small girl per say, but underwear at plus sized stores usually doesn't fit me and it's way too time consuming and expensive to find single pairs of underwear to match up to bras so I just buy Fruit of the Loom 6packs and go with that XD
My UO regarding Disney would be... I hated The Lion King. Least favourite Disney movie ever, and I get such cock-eyed looks when I say that. Simba was a really annoying character for me and I could never get into the story, even when I was little. My experience with Disneyland was an awesome one, but that was because I was eight years old and it was literally 20 years ago, lots has changed since then I imagine. My only lament was that as a little girl I didn't run into a single Disney Princess, not ONE. How the hell did that even happen?
I haven't been to Disney since I was six, and I barely remember it. H always talks about doing a Southern CA tour of theme parks someday, but I guess at this point it'll wait until the kid is old enough to enjoy it.
I never match my bras and underwear, unless it's by accident. I only have black, white, and nude bras, so if I happen to wear the same color undies it's a coincidence.
All of my socks are white, and they HAVE to match. It bothers me to no end when I realize I am wearing two different socks, even if they only have a different color seam but came from the same pack. And I am weird about the material; occasionally I get cutesy character socks, like with cats wearing glasses or dinosaurs, as gifts, but they are made out of that thin material that immediately make my feet sweat and feel slimy (?), so I never wear them.
Another possibly UO: I HATE the word "panties" - especially when being used to refer to a child's underwear. It sounds like something a creepy old man would say. In my house growing up they were always just referred to as underwear or undies, or underpants, which sounds more wholesome to me.

I bought bralettes off Groupon so I have a million pack in different colors for like $30. Cause that's how I roll. If I'm getting dressed for real, I have like 3 VS bras.
My UO - I've read that one of the keys to feeling good about being a SAHM is getting dressed every day, but I'm loving life in my 24/7 yoga pants and hoodies. So while I'm only 2 weeks in, I feel like that's a myth.
My UO (which may not be all that unpopular but maybe doesn't bother people nearly as much as me?) comes courtesy of DH's cousin right now: I cannot stand when people post pictures of completely naked baby genitalia on Facebook. Butts and cheekies don't bother me, but a totally naked full-frontal of a baby makes me so angry for that child.
In this case, she posted a birth announcement for her niece (not even her own child) that included the little girl full frontal naked with no diaper or anything on, then a second picture with someone lifting up her legs giving another full monty and a whole pile of meconium spewing out of her butt. WHYYYYY?!?! First, there are so many creepy people in the world. Second, that is a baby who will grow up into an adult who never consented to the whole world having a full frontal viewing of their bitties!
@TeacherMom2517 Nobody needs an up close and personal of baby's bits. I mean, what is even the point of putting that on social media? How hard is it to put a diaper and some clothes on the baby, then take a photo?
ETA: The fact that it's not even her baby makes it worse. If that was my kid I'd be livid!
Just catching up because I'm at the place so many hate I have a Disney pass but disneyworld is just on a different level. Being able to get fast passes ahead of time makes it amazing. I also cried on the frozen ride seeing DD light up.
