First time poster long time lurker...just looking for any tips on traveling to SE Asia while pregnant. I'm 7w3d, will be there for 2 weeks, and I've cleared it with my doctor. I'm planning to bring plenty of snacks, compression socks, long sleeves and pants, and bug spray. Also, will be mindful of water (brushing my teeth/shower/etc.) Anything else I'm not thinking of? I'll be in Vietnam most of the time, but also traveling to Cambodia and China as well.
Also, as I'm traveling for work, I'll be with several coworkers, so any advice on not seeming like a wet blanket (not drinking, being exhausted, sick, avoiding food, etc.) the entire trip is greatly appreciated haha. One coworker is a close friend to me and my husband, so I was thinking of telling him just as a safety precaution in case anything goes wrong, but after a previous loss, I'm just so hesitant to tell anyone right now.
Hoping to feel more at ease about the trip as I leave on Friday...

When I've traveled to foreign countries while pregnant, I find I'm much more sensitive to travel-intestinal bugs. So just be a bit more cautious about what/where you eat. The good news is you can always blame a travel bug on your MS as cover.

Drink only bottled water that you open or you see the cap seal brake.
Dont take extra vitamin C it's not good for the baby but you can drink more juice and eat fresh uncut fruit that you washed in Bottled water.
Only eat cooked hot food. Not street food even though it's hot. Or fresh fruits and veggies that you wash in bottled water.
Most all of the milk should be pasteurized but just make sure before you drink it if you don't open the bottle.
Do use bug spray just make sure not to breath it in.

As for not being a "wet blanket" I don't know if I can help with that. Doing what you need to do to be healthy and and safe while you are there is more important. My advice is keep a good sense of humor and if they don't like that you are not the life of the party that's their problem. You will learn soon after your beautiful baby comes that nothing, NOTHING matters more than, well, anything your baby needs.
Ok. Long post. One more thing to remember, women have babies in those countries too. Every single day. Don't stress to much about it. And most of all, have fun!!! I don't know how much you have traveled but to me it is the most amazing thing. Granted I am an anthropologist. LOL.

-Only drink bottled water - and if you don't recognize the brand/label of the water, don't drink it (there will be local versions of Aquafina, Poland Spring, etc., which you'll be able to identify and are OK to drink but if you don't recognize the brand, don't drink it - it could just be locally bottled tap water)
-If you order a beverage, don't get ice in it (ice is made using the tap water)
-Do not eat any fresh fruits or vegetables that are not cooked -- VERY hard for me to since I love my fruits, salads, etc. but I made myself eat only cooked, hot food the entire trip.
-No street foods
-Keep your mouth closed when showering; I would even spit a few times when showering just in case any water had gotten in my mouth, I wasn't swallowing it
-Brush your teeth with bottled water
-No swimming
-Take lots of snacks with you
One more thing - even on the plane to/from -- careful what you eat/drink because you don't know where it's sourced from. Avoid ice in your beverage, don't eat fresh fruits/veggies/etc.
