A head of romaine lettus, a small-clawed otter, a foam finger...
Upcoming appointments?
We start our every-two-weeks appointments with one this Thursday. Woot! Home stretch!
Rants/raves/questions?
I'm feeling a bit better in many ways at this point than I did with my first. I'm still able to walk with very minimal or no pain (unless baby is on my sciatic, which happens a couple of times a week). I had some nausea last night, but not as much as I did in 3rd tri with my first. And I'm definitely not feeling as internally crowded as I did the first time around - I would almost have panic attacks at the end of the night because it was difficult to breath. So, despite the ongoing kidney fun, I'm counting my blessings this go-around.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
See above. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? (Stolen from errbody last week).
What size is baby? Cabbage, butternut squat.. something approximately 4-5lbs
Upcoming appointments?
November 7th.. I had an appointment last Thursday which was awesome. It was the first appointment that DH got to attend. Ana would not participate fully in the ultrasound. Because I am needy and attention seeking here's her beautiful pic. She's licking her umbilical cord like a little weirdo.
Rants/raves/questions?
Nothing that you ladies aren't already aware of. Sleeping sucks, breathing is non existent, reflux is grosssss. My baby shower is Sunday, we'll see how that goes.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
I had Olive Garden on Thursday and now I want more OG. All the soup, salad and breadsticks I can eat.
GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? (Stolen from errbody last week).
I loved Where the Sidewalk Ends and Sideway Stories from Wayside School
What size is baby? Pineapple, three chocolate croissants, cauliflower blossom, jr. tennis racket, ferret, length of celery stalks
Upcoming appointments? Off this week, but another biweekly next Tuesday afternoon
Rants/raves/questions?
Rants: After seeing some of the girls on here already going into labor with their water breaking, I have had many dreams of that happening to me and not knowing it since I'm a FTM and don't know what to expect. So, that is making me anxious and hoping this baby stays in until at least December.
Raves: Besides being swollen (symptoms below), I actually feel pretty good. Sometimes I'm a little slower when walking and getting up, but it's not horrible. Oh, and we finally have a crib and dresser put together in the babies room!
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
Symptoms: My main one is still being swollen. Everywhere. Feet, ankles, hands and fingers the most. I know that most of my weight gain has been hips on down, as my thighs have all these dimples on them, which is weird. Getting pants on is a struggle each morning.
Cravings: Nothing really. I crave sweets, but after I eat them I regret them so I have limited that intake a lot - which is probably for the good.
Aversions: Chicken. I LOVE chicken, but lately... I just don't care to eat it unless it's chopped up and on something. I have trouble eating it alone.
GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? (Stolen from errbody last week).
I was such a book lover as a kid!! I loved Matilda and Charlotte's Web, as well as the Little House on the Prairie and the Baby-Sitter's Club series.

What size is baby? A yellow squash, but more importantly...a *naked* armadillo.
Upcoming appointments? BP checkup, but I think my doctor scheduled a bio scan for Ashton as well.
Rants/raves/questions? I am waking up multiple times a night absolutely drenched in sweat--I'm sure this is common but it is annoying.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?: Been wanting Skittles a lot recently.
GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? (Stolen from errbody last week). Probably "Gregory, the Terrible Eater"---it's about a little Billy goat that wants to eat fruits and vegetables, but his parents want him to eat junk. It's a cute story about the importance of moderation and eating well.
Cantaloupe, large bag of potato chips, baseball glove
Upcoming appointments?
Standard appointment tomorrow (last of the two weeks - go to 2x per week next week) I am not really looking forward to tomorrow's appointment. Rants/raves/questions?
So in general I feel like I am doing really well. The week before last however I gained about 7 LBS. That is the first weight gain of my pregnancy and I have not gained any more since. I also had some moderate swelling in my feet early last week which has gone away completely now. I think this is probably all just normal pregnancy symptoms. I actually am more concerned about my doctor's reaction than that there is something actually wrong.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
Well now I'm craving Olive Garden! Thanks @cayaylonglegs GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? (Stolen from errbody last week).
I was a really weird kid. My favorite book was The Value of Believing in Yourself: The Louis Pasteur Story.
What size is baby? From @Kacie209 - Pineapple, three chocolate croissants, cauliflower blossom, jr. tennis racket, ferret, length of celery stalks
Upcoming appointments? Ditto to @Kacie209 - Off this week, but another biweekly next Tuesday

Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
Symptoms: For the first time this pregnancy, or in either pregnancy for that matter, I'm having some Serious pain in my crotch as well as right where both of my legs meet my torso. This hasn't happened before and it's bad enough it takes my breath away. No bueno
GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? (Stolen from errbody last week). I've always been a huge reader... loved Anne of Green Gables series, Little House series, Babysitters Club series, Little Women
An additional rant that I forgot... my hair. It's so gross. My hair has always been stick straight and somewhat flat. I'd use some volumizing mousse before blow drying and that usually perked it up (along with some volumizing shampoo in the shower - I have to wash it every day). Even after those 2 things, I blow dry and my hair does nothing. No volume, just flat and looks awful. I even got my hair cut and colored a month ago to give it some life and it was good for a week, and is back to where it was before - just awful. And, my hair has struggled with where it wants to part every day, so I deal with that too. #FirstWorldProblems I know. I hope it goes back to what it was before after this baby, otherwise... I may just need to shave my head a la Britney and call it good.

@Kacie209 my hair is the worse now. I thought maybe it was because I switched shampoo/conditioner. Nope. I tried some different ones. Tried blowing drying, tried air drying, tried not using any heat products, nothing!! My hair hates me.

Rants/raves/questions? I had my shower this past weekend so we have most of the nursery put together at this point
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? People at work have been pointing out that baby boy has dropped. I can definitely feel a difference as well. His head is putting some major pressure down there!

Had my baby shower this weekend, too. It amazed me how much I could be excited about things like a car seat and a moby wrap. I may have spent a lot of time watching YouTube videos on how to install the seat and tie the wrap....

Baby girl has always carried kind of low, but now I am FEELING it in my pelvis. She's getting heavy. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? (Stolen from errbody last week).

Rants/raves/questions?
Next appt this week. I hear I get an us and I'm going to start sharing my birth preferences. If past appointments serve as any experience, I'll have a good 7 minutes to get through it.
Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Lots of headaches, ridiculous hip pain at night, lots of peeing and lightning crotch. Come to think of it, my boobs haven't hurt in a while. Is that normal? Does that mean I'm not producing milk effectively?
GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? (Stolen from errbody last week).
I loved the Ramona series and of course Judy Blume. Before that anything that had 3D pop ups was amazing to me.
