Glitter Poot 1: We finished priming & both coats of paint on the master bedroom & closet this weekend. We have finished painting every single room in this house. We are DONE.
Glitter Poot 2: I got the first baby clothes yesterday: 21 items at a baby consignment for $42. This kid is set from 8-17 lbs. Plus I restrained from getting many onesies or any tiny clothes, so hopefully the baby shower will fill in the rest nicely.
This wasn't the final selection, but that grey shirt up front matches one of Daddy's 100%!
My Old Navy order with my long sleeve maternity wear is being delivered as we speak. So tomorrow, I will have an actual vest that zips to wear in the morning!
We've now paid our new mortgage payment twice successfully. It's a great feeling even though it seems so lame to say "yay we can mostly afford our house!"
I just met with my HR benefits rep to go over maternity leave benefits and I will get a few more paid weeks than I had originally thought! Definitely reduces our stress on saving as much as possible and now we can work on saving that money as a cushion rather than a necessity!
I should pull any positive I can with the crap going on with my job. So my glitter fart is that I found and ordered the ottomon pouf I wanted for the nursery and got free shipping and a very discounted price from what they usually sell for....and a matching throw blanket and pillows for the nursery chair. It is gonna look so pretty
I have one! My MIL is giving us her car in the next month or so. Well finally be a two car family again and I'm super pumped. I wanted an SUV but I will take free.
She made me drive it the three hours to her house to learn how to use it even though I've driven it countless times and also... it's a car. So now I'm pooped. But yay!
Sorry to add another one, but I just found out H got two job interviews this week! He has been looking for a few months with no luck so I'm really excited things seem to be turning around for him!
ETA: I feel like a major AW for having two glitter farts today
@lfrank12 fart away! Good news is awesome, especially job interview news.
My glitter fart is this AWESOME glider for the nursery. It's the most comfortable chair ever, and has become my butt's new best friend. And since the nursery doesn't have, ahem, walls... I get to enjoy it in its temporary home in the living room. WIN!
@lfrank12 I think there's a few ways but what I did was downloaded the GIPHY app. When you find the gif you like in the app, you save it to your phone. The way it works for me is you save it as an image so it shows up in your photo album not moving. Then when you come over to the bump, act like you are inserting an image and insert the gif from your photo album. It should then work. I can elaborate if you need OR you can PM me .
Glitter fart for all of you guys, who gave me tons of awesome Raid-free remedies to help my flea-ridden pooch last week. I think we finally have the problem under control! Special props to the kind soul who recommended Vet's+Best flea and tick home spray (I think it may have been @LivingLaVidaGinger?), which was essential for all the furniture/rugs I couldn't send through the laundry. Franklin (and the kitties, Charlotte and Yossarian) thank you!
Thanks for the tutorial!!! Now I can finally do gifs from mobile! My life will never be the same! I use the gif keyboard for texts but couldn't figure out how to do it here.
@lct2008 and @Gretchypoo It's the Baby Relax Mikayla Glider from Hayneedle. I got the grey one. Couldn't believe how nice it was for under $350 and free shipping. It reclines and it's got a nice high back so I can rest my head... it's even a good size for my giant of a husband.
I just saw the handmade quilt my grandma is working on for my LO. It is absolutely beautiful and has roses all over it for "Rosie" I am so in love with that quilt I've decided to decorate my entire nursery around it. I can't wait to AW and show it all to you when it's finished because I just melted over it.
We're at disneyworld! When we got back into the room last night these Halloween flowers were on the table waiting for me. H really went above and beyond on this trip
I just want to give a shout out to my awesome Hubby. All the drama from the last two weeks finally hit me yesterday and he could tell. I don't like to cry, like ever, I just keep it all bottled up and try to handle it on my own. He could tell I was doing this and wouldn't let me leave the room yesterday until I opened up to him. And I'm so glad he did...I had a complete and total emotional breakdown and he was just so supportive and knew all the right things to say. It made me feel so much better. He's amazing, I don't know what I'd do without him.
Also, That's So Raven is coming back!!! It's going to be Raven as a mom and her kid starts having visions! I'm so excited!!
someone bought the food processor off my registry! that was the item i was coveting most. i'm beyond thrilled, probably irrationally so.
This is not judgement in any way but I have a question. When I think food processor, I think wedding registry. So is this one specialized for making your own baby food? What kind is it? I can only imagine my big thing in my cupboard and I think it would suck making baby food, so now I'm curious.
@kswiger06 a friend bought a food processor for me for baby. It isn't something I had on my registry, but it's one that can steam and process all in one go. Yes, I have the tools to already steam veggies and then process them, but some people swear by the all in one baby ones.
