I have been so laxed with this pregnancy. I drink coffee (when my stomach can handle it), soda, and tea. I eat a pb&j sandwich at least once a week. If we order fast food, I always get fries. I take baths because my back and hips are killing me by the end of the day. I don't know if any of this is all that bad, but I see people avoiding a lot of these things, and I'm just like "whatever."
ETA: I eat all the lunch meat and hummus, too, btw.
My daughter naps in the car everyday. I'm not sure how it started but, we tend to be "out" during her nap time. If she falls asleep during errands and I'm done, I pull into a park by our house and read. They have a farm across the street so, I watch the cows too. I don't know who gets more out of it, her or I. It is so peaceful.
I'm going to have to find a way out of this before the new baby comes. Meh.
Since I don't know if we will have a home, or in what city or state that hopeful home might be in by the time this baby comes in April, I will be avoiding any and all talk about nurseries, organization or even baby supplies. Also every time I get some article sent to me about "how to prepare for baby" I cry for a minute, because this time around I don't get to prepare for baby this time around. I just have to pray he/she will have a place to sleep.

I have developed a recent LulaRoe shopping addiction and have purchased 6 pieces in two weeks. It's my goal to spend as much time as possible in leggings and loose shirts during this pregnancy. I'm setting up an online party just to get free pieces to feed the addiction. Flame away
@Magheeta PB&J? That's a new "no-no" for me and a big one too, because I have PB&J on toast for breakfast or snack at least 4 times/week. (I doubt I'll stop either because I love it, so that can be my FFFC!) Can it cause an allergic reaction in utero?
@mrsstuessy I feel you girl. No nursery for us either since we'll move so early and I don't know where exactly we'll be yet. I still want to register for things I *think* we'll need in terms of decor and organization, but not having a place to put them is hard. I'm just trying to remember there are very few things nugget actually needs to start out!
@magheeta@schef070911 I didn't know PB&J was a no no either. I ate a PB&J almost everyday while pregnant with DS... He's alive and well.
My FFFC: I'm going on a sex strike. Mostly because DH has been taking and not giving. And he hasn't been taking charge. He wants me to do everything. So until I see some action from that man, I'll just roll over and fall asleep.
@KirstinH88 we have had sex like twice since we found out.. I was too nauseous at night to even think about it in the start and now I just don't feel like it. Husband doesn't complain.
My fffc is my mom gave my daughter a toy that came with a santa list last week.. I lied to my daughter and told her I had to send her Xmas list to santa already so she couldn't keep adding to it.. I also called a santa hotline bc she was throwing a little temper tantrum in a store and I was too sick and tired to deal with it.. it stopped the tantrum but now I feel awful bc I never wanted to really overdo the santa thing..
I think the vtech, leapfrog, etc being advertised as crucial learning devices is such a gimmick! The recent commercial stated "kids need to be learning all the time!" But that implies that they aren't learning without those toys. In reality, there's so much they're learning so much whenever they free play--there's a whole other world beyond academics!
To clarify, I'm not judging parents or kids who play with these toys. Just annoyed that these toy companies make these implications about what kids need when they really don't!
I marinated some beef tenderloin steak bites in my favourite home made marinade, then sautéed it for supper with mushrooms and poured some of the marinade into the pan to cook it in...and after I finished eating I just found myself dipping a spoon into the marinade from the pan and licking it off...I couldn't help myself, it's probably my favorite flavour of anything ever...
@cafedisco ugh I have this thought every single day I work. I only work part time and my boss just offered me a management position.. (she knows I'm pregnant) but I can't imagine making it til March and Id like to not go back after baby..
I have no desire to clean my house so I'm not. I'll wash clothes, but other than that I just want to Netflix binge. And I'm perfectly fine with it. I work 50+ hours a week and have a two year old. I'm sure it makes me a bad wife, but so be it!
@cafedisco Daniel Tiger Live!!!! Aaaaaaa! I wanna go!! Looking that up now to see if they are coming anywhere near me.
We sat in nosebleeds for about $25 each, which was still a splurge for us. Totally worth it. She loved it so much and they do a nice job with it. Only negative was that it started 20 minutes late, which is tough when dealing with potty stuff is so tricky when we're out right now. Otherwise, I'd definitely do it again!

@cafedisco Looked it up, closest city to us is about 1 1/2 hrs away. They didn't have 2 seats next to each other. Next closest city was about 2 hrs away, but the prices were higher. So of course, I sent the info to grandma! Hahaha!
ETA: it was my dream as a child to go to a Barney Live! show, so I would love to take DS to this...
@Magheeta my doctor said coffee "only for special occasions." Well, you know what, I've found a lot of excuses for "special occasions" lately (current excuse: it's Sunday Morning, that's a special enough occasion...)
@schef070911 & @kristinh88 While my doc hasn't said anything specifically against peanut butter, I have heard that some pregnant women will stay away from it. I'm not 100% sure if they think it could cause peanut allergies or what, but that's just what I've heard. Does anyone remember when there were rumors Kate Middleton was pregnant because she passed up some kind of peanut related food? That's when I first heard about it.
FTR, DS's allergist said that there is more evidence being discovered that introducing babies to nut-related products before a year may help in building their immunity. Disclaimer: Don't take that as gospel. He just told us that scientists are discovering more trends, and if there isn't a threat of allergy in our family, he wouldn't be against giving DS a pbj at 10 months rather than waiting until a year.
Totally not Friday, but The Bump will only work sometimes for me. So my apologies first off, for not posting as much anymore. But the page just keeps timing out on me, whether I'm on a PC or a phone.
Anyway my FFFC is that I go on BabyCenter just to read some of the most ridiculous posts. Like "is cold water safe to drink during pregnancy", or "will my baby I got pregnant with, with my ex, now have my new boyfriends features" or "is it safe to work in an office". I can't help it!
@Magheeta I've heard that too, about introducing it earlier instead of later to avoid the allergy. My pediatrician is fine with it, and I know I've read things about it after DS was born.

This is probably my UO, but I completely agree with your DS's allergist.
That, and you can't force your kid to live in a bubble. Let them play in dirt. Hell, let them eat dirt! It helps build their immune systems.
So up here in Canada we are told the only no no is honey and that is due to botulism. Eggs, PB, shell fish etc are all introduced (one at a time) when baby starts solids around 6 months. If there is a family history of a specific allergy they tell you to be a bit more cautious with that specific food.

I agree with this! I'm originally from Europe and same thing goes there. Some people even do honey earlier on (which I'm not quite too keen on) but the rest, is completely fine unless there is a history of allergies in the family.
I also don't really agree with all of the anti bacterial stuff. Dirt is fine, 5 second rule is fine. Let the immune system do it's job and develop properly.
