Went for my follow up u/s at er. Tech wouldn't even let me look at screen (my husband saw but we dont know what supposed to look like) and u/s tech told us to go sit around er if we want the results today......went to go to er and it was packed to capacity (plus overflow of patients into adjoining hallways.....least an 8-9hr wait). I'm still fighting off a cold from my last visit to er (had 1st u/s for bleeding). Now we have to wait till thurs to get results from family doctor. Went to go to buffet after (feeling sick but still have massive appetite).....and they were closed
Shout out to my 8th period class. Y'all suck!!!!! I wish you would all just shut up and do what I ask of you the first time. And no you can't listen to music.
@ashley.g that's crazy that the tech wouldn't allow you to look or at least give you some indication one way or the other. I'd inquire as to whether or not that's typical practice. I've only ever had one ultrasound at the hospital, but they let me look.
My BF is that Costco doesn't give out bags AND makes you show your receipt and membership card at the door. I've never bought anything from there before, but heard they are having a great sale on baby clothes. I didn't get a cart because I knew I'd only be getting one or two things. So I decided to just carry my one year old. Rookie mistake. After I pay. I get to the door, I'm trying to hold onto the two outfits I bought, hold onto DD, hand the woman my receipt and card. Is it seriously necessary to check your membership card on the way in, while you're paying, and at the door?! I guess not using bags helps keep the prices down, but geez.... sorry for whining about literally almost nothing. Haha
@doodleoodle yeah I didn't get it either.....the other tech had let us look and explained what was what (the gestational and yolk sac). Think she was new or something cause she seemed like she was doing everything right by the book. Hard enough waiting the 12 days from when I first had bleeding to this appointment to know if the pregnancy is viable......but then to make us wait another 3 days is just plain cruel I'm my opinion! all I know is apparently the blobs were bigger and there were 2 blobs inside the one blob this time (haha my husbands description).....and lots of + as she was taking the pics, so hoping that means that was the baby and it's progressing!!
And btw not silly.......that is brutal with costco! haha bad enough you've got to pay for a membership, but then you have to jump through hoops just to get from start to finish of your shopping. It's ridiculous
Found out a lazy ass coworker that does nothing all day but talk to everyone and complain and hasn't even been there as long as me makes $13k more than I do. Makes me furious that I work my ass off and laziness is rewarded.

The u/s tech is literally qualified to take the images, and that's it. They're not qualified to tell you "that's a leg" or even "it's a girl!" Many are confident enough to do so, but it's outside the scope of their job. Reading the u/s, making those determinations, is the job of the radiologist.
There's this girl I know from HS who is 2 weeks farther along her pregnancy than me and is going on about feeling her baby move. Dude, you're 10 weeks along. It's gas.

Good to know. Her experience just caught me so off guard because with every ultrasound I've ever had the tech has given me the information directly.
Work fail. Our payroll system is down, so I was stuck at work til 7:30pm hitting refresh, hoping I could pay everyone. No dice. Guess who gets to show up at 6am tomorrow and hope that it's fixed. FX I can get people their $.
@BelhurstBride yeah I totally get that they're not qualified to say anything (I'm sure for liability reasons), but to actually move the screen so I cant even see it seems a bit extreme to me......maybe that's just me but you think they'd understand that you've been waiting a cpl weeks (trying not to stress out to the max) and even seeing it (without knowing the results) can be somewhat reassuring to someone pregnant. I know the roles of the different people, but I've never heard of anyone not being allowed to look at the screen......and I personally know about 15-20 people who have had ultrasounds, and i have been for over 4 now (between previous m/c, er trips, and my unexplained medical illness that lasted 2 yrs that required too many different tests to count on pretty much every part of my body before determining it was an environmental toxin exposure). This is the only time (from others i know and from my personal experience) that the person was not included in what they were doing to them and that is very bothersome to me. I don't care if they're not allowed to say anything, they can still let you look at what they're doing to you........instead of trying to make a pregnant person (who caught a cold from their last two 8hr visits to that er for bleeding and then for u/s and results) sit around more extremely sick ppl for minimum of 9hrs (when I'm still attempting to get rid of my cold) for a 1min conversation (and after being specifically told by er drs not to go back there for results) when all I wanted was to see the screen and see how it looked inside me. Instead my husband had to do what he could just to look at the screen and if he hadn't been there with me, I'd still be waiting at the er right now cause I wouldn't be able to bear waiting another 3 days (potentially longer) to get to hear anything at all about whats happening in my body from my drs office. I don't know if you've ever had a m/c, then had a threatened m/c your next pregnancy.....and had to wait 12 days (only to not be allowed to see what's going on inside your own body), then have to wait another 3 days (and still not be able to physically see anything). To say it's brutal is the understatement of the year!! Especially when all they needed to do as an u/s tech to alleviate a lot of worry and stress is turn a screen not even 2 inches to the right for a small portion of the u/s, then send me home to wait for my drs to call with the results in a few days (like they originally said I would be doing for results). Dont ask me why my most important u/s so far of my life has been the only one I wasn't allowed to see the screen at and I think it's unnecessary to treat someone like a test subject over a person curious about what's happening inside of their body but who knows.....maybe that's just me.
Today is my 7th anniversary. I'm sick as a dog with a sore throat and cold. So we celebrated by eating a frozen pizza and watching cartoons. I feel like I need about 12 hours of sleep to feel human again.

My BF is DH. It seems like unless I pester him I get stuck doing EVERYTHING. I work full time, I do the grocery shopping, make dinner, play with/feed the dog, do the dishes, laundry, make lunches, all while doing graduate classes and, oh yeah, GROWING A TINY HUMAN INSIDE ME. What is important enough to occupy DH's time? World of Warcraft. I'm seriously considering cutting his computer's power cord.
