OP, you must be new! At the top of the page, check out "read this first," and feel free to post in the intro and sex announcement threads.
Around here we trust our doctors' opinions. Sounds like yours can't guarantee a girl. I can't tell if girl was your preference or you just want to know for sure one way or another, but as a heads up there's been some really sad late losses lately so sex disappointment is not well received.
It's all due to my toddler on the iPad kicking me in the face right now. I just wanted sleep.. lol!!
Ugh! LOL. For me 5:30 is now when my hip pain hits "wake up and move" levels. My dog has calibrated to this and will wake me up for breakfast even if I get a rare day of respite. Apparently I'm now a morning person, like it or not!
If you haven't run away crying about mean girls and have thick skin...
they said that with my daughter. I went and got an elective ultrasound just to be sure and it was confirmed. I think 90% sure is enough, but I understand worrying about the 10%. There are places you can go to check though.
The part I don't get is the "worry?" What in the hell is there to worry about??? I don't get it. If it'a not a girl, then it's a boy. There really aren't other options....

OP I recognize your SN. I'm not sure if you have posted here before or maybe the tri boards. We really don't respond well to drive by posters. We have built a pretty amazing community here, and while we are welcoming to new people who want to join us, we don't take well to people using us as their personal Google. Feel free to hang out and get to know us, but if that's not your intention just move along.
I think I will forever call vaginas "Triple Stripe".
Lol at my DD anatomy scan (she was baby 2, I'm on 3) we were told a girl. I was so excited but wanted to be sure there was no chance of her popping out with a penis. The tech told me that girls have "hamburgers" and boys have "turtles" that's now what I think about.

My mom was mortified that I shave my triple stripe completely (I guess Korean women aren't about that kind of maintenance. She began calling it "Hamburger pussy" (Pooshy-with a Korean accent). Whenever she had seen I recently shaved the stubble she would say "STOP that!!!"
I guess to explain why my mom had so much visual access to my triple stripe I'll say in Korea, gender specific communal bath houses are quite common and we went about twice a week. I went for a visit and apparently was a huge embarrassment for my mom.
@kswiger06 I will forever remember that analogy of hamburgers and turtles. Like "taco" wasn't bad enough. Lol.
@foxrosy I had no idea you are Korean! Are there any other Asians in here?! I always assumed I was the only one. Not that it matters or anything, but just cool to know..
I missed Middlesex. And while i do think sexuality and gender identity is complicated and fluid. However I think the chances of OP having an intersex child are extremely rare.

@foxrosy my mom was raised Southern Baptist. My sex talk was basically "it's not that great and it hurts sometimes" so when my mom saw that I was shaving, she freaked out too. And that was just a dressing room conversation!
@leslie1331 it is a shih tzu! That's one of my little dudes. His name is Marley. He's hysterical and has quite the personality. He has a yorkie brother named Ali.

Re: 90% sure it's a girl
Am I the only one awake to witness this?! Lol

Seriously though there's always room for error in these things but at 23 weeks I'd feel comfortable with her assessment.
Thank you, though, for not posting an ultrasound of your daughter's labia for us to review.
*Take our teasing with a grain of salt. It's all in fun. Hang out and lurk a bit before posting.

OP.. I have seen the triple stripe turn into a penis before... It's scary how often that happens. **evil laugh**

Ali is my feisty, neurotic yorkie who must always be the center of attention, named after Muhammad Ali.
And Marley is my calm, chill, can't be bothered unless it's food related shihtzu named after Bob Marley.
I think they are appropriately named. LOl
