Symptoms? a little bit of acne still, shortness of breath, lightening crotch that comes and goes, and holy gas.
Rant/Rave/Questions? any one else have lightening crotch?
GTKY: What was one of your favorite childhood toys? I had this really awesome tea set that I loved! one day it was just gone and my mom told me she accidentally broke it and I was crushed. Just recently she dropped off a rubbermaid container of things from my childhood and my tea set was in there. She said she hid it so my kids could play with it. I am so glad she did, it will be perfect to pass along to our first daughter.
Appointments this week? No appt but I found out I had an $800 "credit" at my OB office from last time (DS1's birth)!!! They told me it was my responsibility to follow up to make sure I get my credit back since I swapped offices in my 3rd trimester and didn't need the whole package. Billing is so pushy in asking for retainers and down deposit, and so dishonest about getting money back to their clients. Anyway, my rant is that the medical system is expensive, confusing, and question everything!!!
Symptoms? I get out of breath easier, if I walk too long I get pains in the back, can down everything in sight.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I was pretty upset finding out about how my OB office took too much money from me and never bothered to refund it.
GTKY: What was one of your favorite childhood toys? Marble run sets, can build over and over again.
Appointments this week? None until next week when I have my 18w appointment and anatomy scan.
Symptoms? Definitely have a bump now! And I'm feeling exhausted and having heartburn but I'm starting to feel the baby move!
Rant/Rave/Questions? Can't believe I'm getting closer to half-way! My DH and I are still conflicted over whether we'll find out the gender this time around. We were Team Green for our two girls, but now we're both feeling like there could be advantages to finding out sooner rather than later. We'll probably make a decision at the anatomy scan.
GTKY: What was one of your favorite childhood toys? I had Petshops and 101 Dalmation dolls that I used to play with for HOURS. When I was done with them, I kept them stored up in my closet until my niece and nephews got old enough. Now they're at my parents' for when all the grandkids come over. They love them as well! Makes me so happy!
How far along are you? 14 weeks! Helllllllo second trimester!
How big is baby? Peach / lemon, whatever The Bump decides today
Appointments this week? Not until Election Day for a check in
Symptoms? Trying to ween off diclegis. If I go without 100%, I get really queasy. I'm starting to get a lot of growing pains in my lower back. Ready to get my appetite back (although don't worry, despite limited weight gain, this baby is already bumpin').
Rant/Rave/Questions? @Taylor72 - I don't have it yet, but I did a lot last time and I wouldn't be surprised if I get it again. And yes, I panicked like every single time. @visualcircus - That would enrage me.
GTKY: What was one of your favorite childhood toys? Uhm, probably anything I could sing into (I had a lot of toy microphones and recorders). I was a total ham as a child.
Symptoms?@visualcircus yes! I couldn't figure out what was going on until I read your comment, I appear to have forgotten this joy of pregnancy--I didn't get it until much later with DS.
My energy is coming back thankfully, get winded easily around stairs (even going down sometimes lol), appetite is back with a vengeance, and sometimes my sciatic nerve hurts but only I've been really active and bending a lot. I've also been breaking out in eczema, which didn't happen with DS until after he was born.
Rant/Rave/Questions? The acne...I feel like I'm 16 years old all over again.
GTKY: What was one of your favorite childhood toys? I don't know that I had one. I know that my sister and I were really into Barbies but nothing really sticks out right now.
Appointments this week? Nope. Not for another 3 weeks
Symptoms? Heartburn. Oh, the heartburn. Insomnia, as well, which suuuuuucks. I'm sure there's more, but I can't think just now.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Couple things! Rave - finally got my NIPT results back. All normal, and it's another girl! Slight Rant 1 - now we need to think of another girl name, which is going to be difficult, to put it mildly. Slight Rant 2 - we haven't announced to a large chunk of our friends yet because the day we were going to, another couple in the friend group announced their pregnancy! Don't get me wrong, we're really happy for them, but we decided to wait a couple weeks to tell so as to give them their moment. Then, a week or so after that, we find out that another friend in the same group is breaking up with his wife of 3 months because he was cheating on her What an asshole. So anyways, I think we're just going to wait a few more weeks to say anything with all the drama.
GTKY: What was one of your favorite childhood toys? Hmmm, it changes so often when you're young, doesn't it. I was always big into our swing set.
Appointments this week? I met with the high risk doctor and got the script for the Materniti21. Hoping to go for that in the next couple days. Also my papp-a was low so I'll have to get extra monitoring later on plus since I had GD with my last pregnancy, I have to have the test around 18 weeks this time.
Symptoms? still some fatigue/insomnia, but that's about it. Oh and boobs are still sore.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I feel like every time I turn around I owe more money for things. Pregnancy is expensive
GTKY: What was one of your favorite childhood toys? I was obsessed with My Little Ponies. And my brothers ghostbuster toys
@pinkshades05 Thank you! I will say I was slightly hoping for a boy, mostly because I did not want the stress of trying to agree on a girl name with DH. Boy names are easy for us...sigh. But! Girls are awesome, as you know with two of your own! I've never experienced a sister relationship as I only have brothers, so I'm looking forward to see that develop with my girls
