GTKY: What do you miss the most since getting your BFP?

For those with an EDD of 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, and 6/25!

How far along are you? 8 weeks! 2 months down... crazy!

How big is baby? Raspberry. I actually bought raspberries at Trader Joe's yesterday and I handed one to DH last night and said, this is how big our baby is now. His face lit up!

Upcoming appointments this week? I have my final ultrasound with my RE on Tuesday, and on Friday I have a nurse visit scheduled at my OB. I'm keeping my options open though and may not end up staying with that office.

Any new symptoms or changes? I have every symptom other than vomiting. I also already look like I have a bump. Maybe it's a combination of bloat and my uterus stretching? I know a little raspberry isn't big enough to give me a bump yet.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Deciding what to wear so that I don't look pregnant has become a challenge. I feel huge!

GTKY: What do you miss the most since getting your BFP? This is a hard one because a few different things come to mind... I think I might go with eating whatever I want and without getting nauseous. I'm a foodie!

Upcoming appointments this week? Nope

Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea is subsiding (hopefully permanently). Food cravings and aversion have started. I don't have much taste for coffee, Mexican food or spicy foods (and I normally love spicy stuff)! Bread, pasta and cheese are in constant rotation right now.

Rants/Raves/Questions? We told my in laws yesterday! My MIL started tearing up. This would be her sixth grandchild, so I wasn't sure if she'd have the same level of excitement. It was really sweet to see her so happy. We tell my family next weekend!

GTKY: What do you miss the most since getting your BFP? No hot tub! We have a hot tub on our deck and it's the perfect time of year to enjoy it.

Upcoming appointments this week? Not until 11/7

Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea big time, slightly sore breasts and I am smelling EVERYTHING! And all of the sudden eggs made me gag this morning when I have been eating them all week and usually love them.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Traveling home from New Delhi today and just feel tired. I haven't even seen DH since I found out. And I'm super bummed about having to cancel my trips to the Philippines (Zika). It was mostly for work but DH was going to come with me and take some side beach trip this time. Oh well it can wait.

GTKY: What do you miss the most since getting your BFP? Definitely miss a good glass of wine.

New symptoms? Tired and some nausea/aversions

Rants/Raves/Questions? Cannot sleep through the night without needing to pee at least twice

What do you miss most? Cheese! Feta and goat cheese on my salads especially.

How far along are you? 5 weeks

How big is baby? Chocolate chip

Upcoming appointments this week? Phone appointment with OB tomorrow (standard for Kaiser health system) and then I get to schedule my first in-person appointment/US with the midwife!

Any new symptoms or changes? Mild cramping on and off, lower backaches, twitches in my lower abdomen/uterus, and moodiness (according to DH).

Rants/Raves/Questions? I can't wait to start showing! With DS, it wasn't until I was about 30 weeks!

GTKY: What do you miss the most since getting your BFP? The occasional glass of prosecco or alcoholic pear cider mmmm

@mtvkv5 I developed an aversion to eggs during week 6 and it hasn't gone away! So sad!

@email2ash Buy your feta and goat cheese pasteurized from the grocery store... no need to give it up completely!!

Upcoming appointments this week? Thursday is my confirmation appointment.

Any new symptoms or changes? Gas and nausea are working together to make me not want to eat. Im not currently feeling relief after I've eaten something.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I am having a really hard time focusing on anything and that is causing me some anxiety, which I'm sure make my other symptoms worse. A trip to Jo-Ann Fabrics distracted me for a little while last week, but the feeling did not last.

GTKY: What do you miss the most since getting your BFP? My energy is way lower. I miss that spark.

Upcoming appointments this week? I am going this afternoon. This isn't an OB appt but I am concerned that I have been cramping a good bit. I know I am probably being paranoid but this is my first and I just want to know that everything is ok in there.

Any new symptoms or changes? I am exhausted! I took two naps yesterday and so far I am trying not to face plant on my desk. I am feeling slightly queasy and as mentioned above, some cramps.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone having cramps at this point in your pregnancy? Did you freak out like I am doing now? Should I chill out?? Lol

GTKY: What do you miss the most since getting your BFP? The day after I found out, DH was making cookies and I was very upset when I remembered I couldn't have any dough!

@motherhubbard19 I've been having some cramping since a couple days before I got my BFP. It isn't severe or anything, but it is there. As long as you don't have any bleeding along with your cramping you are probably okay, but it never hurts to consult your doctor! My guess is that you are just fine though!

Upcoming appointments this week? Nope, first appointment is on the 7th for an intake, and will schedule an ultrasound on that day.

Any new symptoms or changes? Not so much. I'm exhausted, but I think that's more just me, haha.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: My husband comes home this weekend!! He's been working out of state for the last 2 months (with a brief weekend home..lol). I can't wait. I missed him, but also I need a break from my lovely children.

GTKY: What do you miss the most since getting your BFP? Haven't really changed much.

I'm 5 weeks.

Baby is the size of a poppyseed.

No appointments this week.

My only symptom is extreme exhaustion.

My rant is I'm sick and I really wish I could sleep and recover but work and my son are keeping me hopping.

GTKY: Not a darn thing! I just feel so immensely lucky to be pregnant right now.

@email2ash Absolutely!! The reason you're supposed to avoid soft cheeses is because they often aren't pasteurized (when served in restaurants) and the pasteurization process kills the listeria bacteria. Man I hate listeria! While soft cheeses in restaurants are usually not pasteurized, in the grocery store they usually are! Just read the label and if it is clearly marked pasteurized, you are good!

Me, too! been cramping off and on since BFP on 10/19. Happened with DS, too. It's totally normal! Just call your doc if you have any bleeding.
