So hubby and I love going out to eat, and our date nights usually consist of dinner and then grabbing a drink at a lounge or catching some live music. Dinner sounds great to my preggo self, but I'm trying to think of what else we can do. Going to a bar or lounge sober just doesn't appeal to me. We rarely get time away, so going to a movie also doesn't sound great since we would just sit there and not talk.
What has everyone else been doing for date nights while drinking is off the table?
Re: Sober Date Night Ideas
1) we still do campfires at night once DS is in bed - smores, hot dogs, fruit, peanuts, etc - just us and our fire pit and snacks
2) couples massage - we do this every other month at least
3) college games (hockey/football etc) - you can do professional too! we just love the atmosphere that surrounds college games
4) we play card games a lot - but DH is pretty bad at those so he only lasts a few rounds before wanting to quit - we also play world of warcraft at night pretty frequently
5) apple picking/harvest festivals or pumpkin festivals now that we're in october (haunted mansions count too!)
6) concerts can be fun! I went to a TSO concert while I was pregnant with DS. I don't think he particularly enjoyed it based off all the kicking during the loud music - but it was still nice to be together during that time.
7) we still try to do occasional day trips - the aquarium which is 1.5 hours away, a larger city with more to do/see, etc. Groupon is your friend!
There really are a lot of things to do when you can't drink - sometimes you just have to really push outside your area and explore nearby towns/places for new ideas!

@marshmallowfarts great ideas! I agree, groupon is great & this time of year all the haunted attractions are fun too!
@Ivorytower2 I can emphasize with you. DH and I are definitely a dinner and drinks couple so it's been weird trying to "restructure" date nights. We've really enjoyed going to comedy clubs-Sober or not it's a ton of fun. I know it's similar to the movies in that you can't talk during it but I highly recommend checking out a show!
Also since I know we can all relate, I saw this picture on my FB.
I definitely get mocktails, either from places like PF Chang's that has a menu of them or I get club soda with na bitters and lime. Also when it was warmer virgin mojitos were my jam.

During my last pregnancy, my husband and I played board games quite a bit. Not like Monopoly and Clue, but some interesting, more obscure ones. Target actually has a good selection. It was really fun.
We have a 1yo together and 4yo from a previous marriage
Tough to get a sitter
So if we get out once every 8-10 weeks that's amazing
