@devow27 I have been seen in the ER so I haven't talked to my doctors about it yet since my appointment is so close and I have been seen in the ER where they told me my levels are still rising and they did see a sac and baby was too small to see when I went and that was last week so hopefully there definitely will be a baby spotted by my appointment. Thanks
Went to the er Wednesday after bright red bleeding (filled equivilent of a pad over a 12 hr period) and cramping. After many hours of waiting, it was then too late for an ultrasound at hospital I was at so they sent me home. Shortly after getting home, i passed a large piece of tissue.....I know never a good sign. Went in yesterday after the techs were in (bleeding almost fully stopped by then but still had cramping) expecting the worst, and they were able to find cause of bleeding......the tissue I passed was a larger than average piece of uterine lining that detached just beside the implantation spot. They said I'm still too early to see a fetal pole or heartbeat (but gestational and yolk sac were present and tech did say she potentially saw few flutters but couldn't say conclusively) so we're playing the waiting game till early next week until my hcg levels are finished being drawm/tested and results are in (and have 2nd ultrasound booked with them Oct 24). I've been told i have a threatened miscarriage and been given a 50/50 chance by the hospital right now so we're trying to hope for the best, but also preparing for the worst. We were definitely pleasantly surprised to see anything on the screen after passing the tissue (since bleeding had stopped shortly after and with my 1st miscarriage, although substantially more blood and had extremely intense cramping, bleeding had stopped after the tissue passed). Im restricting myself to bed rest till then and we're hoping our bean will stick and we'll have a lil miracle baby!
2nd baby, 1st US. 8 week appt but measuring at 7 weeks. Same thing happened when I was pregnant with my daughter (and she was still a week and a half late). EDD for this blueberry is 6/3. Heartbeat was a strong 150.
I was surprised when my doctor's office scheduled me for an ultrasound at just over 6 weeks (I've had no issues in this or my past pregnancy). But I loved being able to see this LO!
@kassyfry why is your ultrasound so late? How weeks will you be then?
@QueenNub they do the first ultrasound at 10-12 weeks. I should be right around 10 1/2 weeks based of my best guess. They only do them earlier if you had complications in a previous pregnancy or previous losses. I go to a huge practice that has 8 different locations only because I love my ob. So, that's the downside of using her practice I suppose.
Hey ladies! I went to my first ultrasound today, 6w5d, due to previous losses and we have a beautiful little sweat pea. I'm so excited. The baby is measuring accordingly with how far along I am and has a very good heartbeat. I didn't ask for the number which I should have but was too excited to remember.
My last pregnancy baby was measuring significantly behind so hearing this one is up to par is a breath of fresh air!
@wifeinraleigh28 thanka! ! Hoping to find out beta hcg today or tomorrow......then next Monday we go for 2nd u/s. Hoping out lil bean is a sticky one!!
@Assiram42 I called yesterday inquiring about getting an ultrasound because I'm 34 and my husband is 40 and I was concerned about it being viable and healthy due to both of our ages and they told me they wouldn't give me one until 20 weeks and that my 8 weeks appointment was only for forms and what not. So I went to a free pregnancy resource clinic today and got this done!
Loving these U/s, & wishing everyone the best My initial 7 wk appt got pushed back a couple weeks w/ my Obgyn phasing out pregnancy & such. Looking forward to participating here
I'm 7w4d today and got to meet my little bean. They said everything looked great and measured exactly where I should be. Heart rate was 157. For those who have read my post in the old wives tale section, my placenta is developing from the yolk on the left which is guessing it's going to be a girl. I'm interested in following up and seeing if it's right!
Loving all these sono photos! So reassuring for you ladies

I'm 7 weeks 5 days today and had our 2nd ultrasound. We were able to hear the most beautiful sound in the world... the heartbeat. 170! It was a great day.
Glad to see all these wonderful ultrasounds. Thought I would be able tl post mines yesterday however they thought I was around 7 weeks based on LMP but I'm only like 5 wks 5 dys so hopefully when I go back next week there will be some changes. We will be checking.
I had my first U/S 10/13 at around 5w5d I had my BFP 4 days earlier on 10/9 - my question is ... has anyone else had their first U/S without hearing a heartbeat yet ? The radiologist apparently said it was still really early to see or hear a heart beat from my first U/S - I have my 2nd U/S on the 10/24 and I have a touch of anxiety about it, just curious if anyone else has experienced that.

@Spookster I had an u/s at 6w1d after going into er for bleeding and cramping. Gestational and yolk sac present but tech said I was still too early to see the fetal pole or heartbeat (few potential flickers but not confirmed). I go in the 24th too for 2nd u/s and we're hoping to hear one then. I'll be around 7w5d then. 5w5d is still pretty early for most to hear a heartbeat!! Hang in there and stay positive! The 24th isn't too far away now!!

I had one at 5w5d and had a yolk sac but no fetus/heartbeat. They said it was no cause for concern yet. I go again today to follow up.
I am also 99% more dates are off. I stopped temping and keeping track of my cycle this month, so I literally have no idea when I ovulated.

@Spookster My doctor won't even do ultrasounds before 7 weeks and says before that it's too early to see the heartbeat. I do know that some can see/hear them at 6 weeks but that isn't always the case!

My first ultrasound is on the 31st and I'll only be 6w1d so I shouldn't expect to hear anything yet? I was 10w when I got my first ultrasound with my first baby so we heard the heartbeat right away.
@sarahannexvi The answer to your question is that you might get a heartbeat. But the challenge with going early is trying to not get worried if you don't hear one. I was bummed that I couldn't get my doctor to schedule a 6 week ultrasound and plenty of ladies eased my mind by telling me that it could save me some grief if there is no heartbeat yet.

The only reason they probably gave me one is because I wasnt sure of my LMP. I might be off by a couple days ... I have irregular cycles so I never really keep track, i'm not a charter or anything along those lines anymore..I am more go with the flow literally, so I am pretty sure that's why they had me come in .. but I have another U/S on Monday and I am hoping all is well with Sprout.
