Did you or will you have an appointment this week? Had an appointment on Monday l, just general checkup
How did it go / what are you looking forward to? Went well, babies heart beat was 155, they said everything was normal which was good had to get the flu shot though... boo! Haha
Raves & rants: I had made it a point when I called to make the appointment to be seen by normal doctor. But when I was called back I was seen by one of the newer, younger doctors. She was really nice and I'm sure she knows her stuff, but I was a bit irritated my doctor passed me off today. I want to be seen by the person who has my medical history

Have you announced yet? We've announced the baby, but obviously not the gender yet
When is your next appointment? November 4th
What are you looking forward to at your next appointment? All of it! It'll be the anatomy scan, so will hopefully find out baby is healthy and the gender
GTNY: giving out candy or trick-r-treating? Ah, that's a hard one. Now I'd probably say handing out candy. I LOVE seeing all the different costumes people come up with.
Did you or will you have an appointment this week? had one today with my perinatal doctor
How did it go / what are you looking forward to? went well! All organs looked good, he apparently has a "great looking spine", measuring ahead 1 day and weighs 11 oz
Raves & rants: my uterus has grown enough to move the placenta away from my cervix, so now we can DTD again! Good timing since today is hubby's birthday :P
Did you get an ultrasound? TV or Ab? both...needed to do the TV to check the position of the placenta
How far along are you? 20w

Do you know the gender(s) yet? yep...it's a boy! (we've known for over a month but just did the gender reveal a couple of weeks ago

When is your next appointment? with OB, November 10...with perinatal, November 23rd
What are you looking forward to at your next appointment? we get a complimentary 3D ultrasound
GTNY: giving out candy or trick-r-treating? right now giving out candy...we bought 9 pounds this weekend!

How did it go / what are you looking forward to? It was nice to see baby again. When they do the AS at this office, they automatically switch over to 4D, so I got to see what the baby may look like. He/she was in profile and from that viewpoint it looks like this baby will look my husband. Our 2 yo is the spitting image of me.
Raves & rants: Bit of a rant, I know the tech was just doing her job, but she asked me 4 times if I wanted to know the sex. We're team green and I have willpower and I'm not budging on not finding out. She said she doesn't see how people can wait, and while I get that she would want to know, that doesn't mean everyone else does too so stop asking me if I want to know! She kept saying, are you suuuuuuure? I wanted to say, yes I'm sure bitch! Stop asking!

When is your next appointment? In 4 weeks with the midwife. Hopefully one of them can take me on permanently. I just learned that they deliver now as they didn't 2 years ago when my son was born, so I'm hoping the I want can be the one who delivers. The doctor said that they only take so many deliveries for each month, so I'm hoping that they have room in March.
What are you looking forward to at your next appointment? Just making sure we're still on track and hopefully having a permanent midwife. I love how they're usually more calm and put you at ease.
GTNY: giving out candy or trick-r-treating? Trick or treating. 2 yo will be a lumberjack!
Did you or will you have an appointment this week? Just got out of my regular monthly checkup.
How did it go / what are you looking forward to? Everything went great! he told me not to worry about my low PAPP A results that the nurse taking my blood at my sequential screen mentioned. I just get an extra ultrasound to make sure baby grows fine
also heard the heartbeat! BPM in the 150s 
Raves & rants: Dr was running late today since he was in the OR....No biggie...just now have to take a half day PTO. Again, no biggie, but was saving for later in the year!

Have you announced yet? yep on Grandparent's day. Everyone pretty much knows.

this will be when we are 21W....so I'm jealous of all those that find out at 20w.
What are you looking forward to at your next appointment? making sure baby is all ok
We will have them seal the gender so we will know gender the following week!
GTNY: giving out candy or trick-r-treating? I'm not huge on Halloween, so usually giving out candy, but I'm sure that DH will take the kids out trick or treating in the future. He LOVES Halloween!

Did you or will you have an appointment this week? we have both our anatomy scan, and a midwife visit tomorrow
How did it go / what are you looking forward to? Looking forward to seeing this little human, and that DH will be in town for it (he works away the majority of the time, but work is flying him back so he can be there)
Raves & rants: I'm just raving about life this week. SO much positive going on I can't help but be incredibly happy. Yesterday was my 30th birthday, tomorrow our appointments and we take possession of our new home. I'm just beaming.

GTNY: giving out candy or trick-r-treating? a bit of both, DS is 3 so we will take him to friends and family's places (cause mommy needs some candy haha) and then return home to pass out candy. He is sooooo in love with halloween this year, I'm very excited
Did you or will you have an appointment this week? Two - one with MFM and the other with our regular OB
How did it go / what are you looking forward to? We've already seen boy parts on our ultrasound but we saw it again on the anatomy scan. Our baby SMILED almost the entire time - he was SOOO happy!! He did start making grumpy faces when we turned the 3D part on though - I think the baby can feel that a bit more though and he showed he didn't approve.
I got diagnosed as high risk for gestational diabetes - even though my A1C is great, with my pancreatic issues and my previously elevated a1c years ago they want to monitor me closely. So now I have to test my blood sugars multiple times a day and keep track of what I'm eating.
Something that concerned me is the amount of swelling I'm starting to have. My face is swollen as well as my hands/legs. I expect the legs thing - I work long shifts. I totally understand that. With my history of severe preeclampsia though I started to worry about my face because that happened last time. I got a lot of bloodwork done and have to do a 24 hour urine collection in the next few days. My test results came back though and the doctor said my uric acid levels were still in "normal" range - but still a lot higher than she'd like to see for the halfway point - so they are going to repeat the test again in a few weeks. I really really really want to go full term this time. Not that I didn't love bringing my 4lb peanut home a month early - I just knew he wasn't ready to be out in the world yet and life was really rough with a premie.
Raves & rants: Love feeling consistent movement all the time now! He's one active little man in there

GTNY: giving out candy or trick-r-treating? my mom comes over and hands candy out to the trick or treaters so DH and I can take DS around trick or treating
