This is for all our March moms who have experienced a loss- we are here to support one another!

1. How far along are you?
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand?
Re: PGAL Check In 10/17
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? OB appointment in 3 weeks- looking forward to feeling real movement, which might be for awhile now because I found out I have an anterior placenta last week. 4 weeks until viability.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I had my anatomy scan on Friday and it was so great to see my baby girl and I am relieved that everything looks normal! She was moving around a lot and even put her hand on her face- it was so cute. I am so in love!!! A big weight I feel like has been lifted from me and I can finally breathe completely for the first time this pregnancy. We announced the sex on FB and everyone seems super excited
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? I love Reeses peanut butter cups- those are my number one favorite, a close second is Snickers. Candy I hate: anything that gets stuck in my teeth- like milk duds, sugar daddy, tootsie rolls etc.
1. How far along are you? 19w1d
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? AS in less than 2 weeks!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: DH and I went furniture-browsing on Saturday, and prior to hitting up the shops, we went out to eat. As I walked down the store aisles, LO was dancing up a storm on the right side of my abdomen!! Either that, or I had gas, but I didn't have the normal consequences of gas (ifyouknowwhatImean). I felt those same energetic sensations yesterday afternoon and evening. They're a cross between flutters, gas bubbles, and vibration. It's hard to explain, but I'm 90% positive it's baby!
Not so cool moment was accidentally delaying breakfast for too long yesterday morning and having near-fainting spells. The kicker was that I was just sitting down to eat. I laid on my left side on the floor for 15 minutes before I was capable of sitting at the table to eat the meal my body desperately desired. Definitely not putting off breakfast again!!
4. GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? I love Kit Kats! As for candy I can't stand - I like taffy, but I'm not a fan of these:
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy scan end of next week!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'll only be 18 weeks at my anatomy scan. I think a few others on this board also have them early... not sure if mine is early since I'm AMA or not.. but it's at the hospital, not at my OB. I am wondering if it will be a regular scan or a different type of image since it's at the radiology dept at the hospital. Just want to be on the other side of this scan with a good report so I can start buying some little clothes for him! I've been so patient!
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? OH - without question for me it's Reese's Peanut Butter cups (mini). With a close second being Twix bars. I am not a fan of any type of fruity candy or jelly beans, ick!
@jenny0228 I have never gotten an ultrasound at my OB office- they always do them at the hospital....at least where I am at. Should be the same type of scan you have always gotten- maybe a little better quality. The tech let me watch what she was doing and pointed out things as time went along- it was a really long scan (over an hour or so). Just FYI- you may have to do transvaginal (if you haven't had one yet) as well because she said that was the best way to measure your cervix and make sure it is nice and long.
@dubcompanion I am having the same problems with eating, dizziness, etc. Also, literally everything makes me out of breath. I feel like I weigh 500+ pounds. (It doesn't help that I also have a heart condition)
@Spartanrd4 OMG your anatomy scan sounds amazing! So happy it went well and that Baby Girl was acting especially cute for you.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? IT'S FINALLY TIME FOR MY ANATOMY SCAN!!! In less than 24 hours I will get to see my baby - and find out if I am having a girl or a boy. I've been counting down for 6 weeks since the doctor scheduled my appointment. In my PGAL brain, if I can just know that everything is OK at the anatomy scan, I feel like I'll finally be in the clear and living in less fear. I am beyond ecstatic!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: This weekend I got to feel the kicks of my BFFs babies (she's having twins and is 2 weeks farther along than I am). It was such a magical experience. I cannot wait for my LO to have strong enough kicks for DH and others to feel them - and to be indistinguishable to me too so I no longer wonder "is that baby? Or gas?"
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon here with the love of Reese's - it seems many of us have that in common. For off brand candy, I also love anything that is chocolate-covered marshmallow. A candy I can't stand is almond joys and butterfingers. They are both an embarrassment to the candy family
@JustAnotherUsername16 Yeah, it's worse in the morning. At bedtime though, I'm a ball of energy and usually need to hold myself back from going into a cleaning frenzy. Amazingly, I have no trouble falling asleep. I'm thinking this energy occurs due to feeling breathless or dizzy if I exert myself too much during the day. ETA - good luck at the AS!
1. How far along are you? 17 weeks 4 days
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? November 3rd we find out the sex! I feel like I'm the last one to find out! Like @spartanrd4 I also have anterior placenta and haven't felt much movement. It's kind of disappointing.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I announced my pregnancy on Facebook! I can't believe I actually did it. It wasn't planned but I was starting to get sad about not sharing any photos of myself while pregnant. People were also finding out through gossip and I figured I'd rather be the one to share. It actually feels good to let everyone know and I feel sort of relieved.
I also agreed to participate in a study at a University on the effects of weight gain during pregnancy. I thought we were just going to talk about what I ate but things got real deep during the interview and talking about my past losses. They suggested I talked to someone during pregnancy because some of these feelings could resurface after the baby is born. I think I'm going to make an appointment to talk with someone. I still have nightmares about losing this pregnancy sometimes.
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? I love the mini snickers bar. Candy corn kind of turns my stomach. I always think it's a good idea and then it makes me sick afterwards.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Viability ❤️
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm just feeling so amazing positive about this pregnancy. I've passed 2 major (and emotional) milestones and things just keep getting better. I do have dull vaginal pain from the cerclage but Baby girl is perfect and kicks and moves so much! I love it, even at 2am when I can't sleep due to baby jabs! *Dont particularly enjoy the cervical stitch kicks though haha!
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? Candy corn! Hate the chocolate bars with the coconut stuff in them. Ew!
@dubcompanion Amazing that you're feeling so much movement! I can't wait til I'm there. My scan is next Thursday then follow up OB appt next Friday. I'm a week from yours!
@JustAnotherUsername16 Countdown to your scan and finding out the sex! I know what you mean about the countdown- I've been counting down for over a month as well. I already know the sex but just want to know everything else is OK!
@sarahbobby That's great that you felt good enough to announce on FB! I know the feeling. I don't use FB and I'm not an announcement person but thinking after my AS I will announce on Instagram. I think people aren't sure if they are "supposed" to know or not... so I'm just going to do it.
@Spartanrd4 Glad to hear your anatomy scan went well last week!!! I know you are relieved. Also, it is crazy to think we are all about half way through! Yay for being super close to viability. That will be another weight off the shoulders for sure!
@dubcompanion That is so exciting you are feeling your little one moving around! I’ve just started to feel my little guy over the last two weeks, and it’s just now really sinking in that there is really something alive and kicking in there lol. Also, I’m sorry you had spells yesterday morning. That sounds awful! Good luck at your anatomy scan next week!
@jenny0228 Good luck at your anatomy scan next week! I was only 18 weeks at mine last week, but my OBGYN office will do an anatomy scan for any pregnant mother at 18 weeks.
@JustAnotherUsername16 Good luck at your anatomy scan tomorrow! I know you are super excited! As for LO’s kicks, I’m the same way. The kicks are pretty light (feels almost like a small muscle twitch to me), but it’s a sensation I’ve never experienced before, so I’m 95% positive it’s baby. It’s a pretty cool feeling.
@sarahbobby I’m glad your announcement on FB went well! And, that is interesting that you signed up for a university study. There is a local university right where I work that is also conducting a study, but I didn’t participate. I knew a girl who did and even after the baby was born, for the first year, she had to bring the child in to appointments at the university to have its growth/weight recorded. Its one thing for them to record my information, but it’s another to then schedule out checkups for the kid the following year. Also, I hope you are able to schedule a time to talk with someone about your feelings with your past losses. I’ve never thought about it resurfacing when your child is born, but that is certainly a time when new moms are already vulnerable to emotional/mental health issues. I’m sorry you are still dealing with nightmares. Hopefully talking with someone will give your mind a place to channel part of your anxiety.
@MsDemi6 So glad to hear you are feeling positive about things! Viability is right around the corner! I’m hoping with all of us getting to the halfway point and reaching the viability mark, that everyone is able to feel positive and enjoy the second half of our pregnancy without constant anxiety (even if that can’t be totally alleviated).
1. How far along are you? 18 weeks 5 days
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I’m not sure. Now that I’ve made it to my anatomy scan and I’m feeling flutters, I guess my milestones are viability and delivery. With the occasional non-serious milestones sprinkled in, like finish the nursery, complete birth plan, etc.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I’m so ready to have a week of just work and relaxing. The last three weeks have been insane. Week one was traveling out of state for a weekend wedding I was in. Week two was dealing with Hurricane Matthew. And Week three was my grandfather being touch and go in the hospital all week. So yeah, give me a week of just work and general boring non-crazy stuff. Aside from all of that, I had my anatomy scan last week. Everything went well, and we are expecting a healthy little boy in March. I’ve started to feel him kick over the last two weeks, and thought I was going crazy because I was under the impression I had an anterior placenta. Come to find out at my scan, my placenta is posterior. The tech at my impromptu 13 week scan not only scared the mess out of me being stupid, but also gave me incorrect information. The tech at the anatomy scan told me 13 weeks is way too early to be able to confirm placenta placement. This made a lot more sense to me, since I have been able to hear the heart beat with my Doppler at home and started to feel kicks.
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? Hmmm Candy I love would be Skittles, M&Ms (plain), Reese’s (cups or pieces I’m not picky), Starburst, Butterfingers, Snickers, etc. I don’t like Twizzlers, Milk Duds, Crunch Bars, Smarties, Warheads and those little pumpkin candy corn things (though regular candy corn doesn’t bother me... IDK why).

@jenny0228 I felt the same way! People were finding out even though I was totally keeping it off social media. The funny thing is that my hubby really didn't want me posting anything, yet it was his friends and family telling everyone! lol... So I think he kind of gave up. Things were just getting awkward... like you said... I knew that certain people knew but they wouldn't say anything to me so it was just weird. I actually post first on Instagram on Friday and then thought, "gee that wasn't too bad" and then did the Facebook announcement yesterday.
@BelcherEars Oh I wouldn't like that either. The study I'm in I have to go back 6 months after birth but it's just me, nothing with the baby, so I felt comfortable with it. And after Friday I'm glad I did it just for the sake of being able to talk about past losses and find out that there are resources for me. I've totally changed all my providers since my losses so it's nice to know that those resources are available.... now you have me wondering about my anterior placenta. I was also told at 13 weeks I have that. I guess we will really find out at 20 weeks!

@JustAnotherUsername16 Thank you! And my grandfather is doing a little better now. He basically had multiple organs with problems and had to have surgery -which he had complications with due to only less than 15% of his heart working. But thankfully he is recovering now and they are hoping to release him in the next few days if all continues to goes well.
@sarahbobby Let me know what you find out with your placenta! I hope it ends up being posterior.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Now that I'm about 90% sure I'm feeling movement, I'm really anxious for DH to feel it from the outside. Also, viability like others have mentioned!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We set up a registry this weekend. HOLY COW, I thought it was overwhelming. But it was fun.
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? Hmm. I love Snickers and Reese's peanut butter cups. Do you know what circus peanuts are? Those giant orange marshmallows that are shaped like a peanut...? I hate those. I'm not crazy about marshmallows in general, but I think those are awful.

@MsDemi6 Love the positive vibes from your post! Unfortunate that you had to get a cerclage but so glad you've been in good hands this pregnancy and baby girl is healthy!
@BelcherEars I hope the stress winds down for you soon.
@liepertsm Registering for baby is definitely overwhelming but agreed, it's fun!
**TW**
I have to be honest this week was kind of stressful. Does it ever feel like you're constantly nervous and constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop? I had a few patients this week having miscarriages. I felt so guilty walking into their room obviously very pregnant. I know after I had losses the last thing I wanted was to see another pregnant woman. I spent a half hour with one woman just hugging her and crying because she had a full term still born a few months ago and then was having another miscarriage now. I felt heartbroken for her. All of my losses were fairly early - first trimester. Now I'm just more paranoid and more sad that good people are suffering like this, yet I see so many others who come in and get pregnant at the drop of a hat yet are addicted to drugs and have lost a majority of their kids to children & youth. This week has been emotionally difficult to handle. It feels like all these thoughts are just racing in circles around my head.
1. How far along are you? 19 weeks 5 days
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? We already had our anatomy scan - we have a fetal echo scheduled soon so I'll get to see our little guy again in a few weeks
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I love the big belly. I seriously love how big he's getting and all of his movements. I love how obvious it is that I'm pregnant now - no awkward "is she fat or pregnant" stage. Some people say I look miserable though - not gonna like 12 hour shifts are pretty rough on me. I'm pretty happy and content on my days off.
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? Meh. I like candy I guess. I definitely HATE any candy with coconut. My favorite candy if I had to pick one would be twix bars. I'm a pretty big caramel lover normally. Now that I'm pregnant all I want is spicy food and red meat. I hardly eat any sweets.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have my anatomy scan on Friday.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I washed and folded some baby clothes today. It's starting to feel like maybe this is really happening.
4. GTKY: Inspired by the big haul I purchased at the grocery store yesterday for trick-o-treaters- what is your favorite Halloween candy? What candy can you absolutely not stand? I'm not into trick-or-treating but I love Reese's peanut butter cups. And I can't stand candy corn.
