Congratulations to any BFP's and hugs to anybody who needs one.
Also, positive thoughts and prayers for @Bwhitta and anybody else who has been affected by Hurricane Matthew. I also have a brother in law that is displaced, the pictures are really terrible. Hopefully the aid for the rebuilding process will come very soon.
New Update. We are are leaving our attempts at IUI's and off to do IVF (at least a consult) this week. So I am only on Metaformin right now.
We are consulting with CCRM. If anyone has any feedback from working with them that would be awesome! Thanks all for your support on this journey! Hoping your all having awesome good news filled days!

Not much to report at this point in time. CD 14 and just waiting to ovulate. From the results I have been getting from my OPK's, most likely looking at tomorrow or the next day......just in time before DH leaves for his hunting shack Thursday afternoon (phew).
Stress levels have been better which is good but at this point, I'm just not feeling very hopeful. I don't feel bad per say, just...............resigned, I guess. But who knows, my first cycle on Letrozole, maybe I will be surprised...but I'm not really getting my hopes up.
The kindest thing anyone has done for me...hmmmmmmmmmmmm. That's a tough one. I would say probably when my boss took on-call for me for a month when I was starting to stress and feel burnt out...and then telling me we would alternate weeks for a while so I didn't jump right back in when I was feeling better. Hands down, best boss ever.
@becauselove I know I said this over on the IF board, but good luck with IVF! I hope you keep us updated over here.
@hoffmanr7 Wow, perfect timing! I'm glad you'll likely O before your H leaves. I know how you feel re: being resigned. It's really hard to maintain hope, or even a positive attitude, because the disappointment hurts and you can't imagine ever getting pregnant. I really hope the letrozole works for you.
We did our third IUI today. I feel like it was largely a waste of time and i should have stayed in bed. DH's motile percentage continued to be in the low 20s, as has become standard for him, but he has the lowest yet total motile count at 1.7 million. It just keeps getting worse. I'm so frustrated and I feel like I can't show it to him because he'll feel bad. Even though I'm not frustrated with him, but with the situation.
Tomorrow we see the reproductive urologist, who will hopefully have suggestions. Tonight I have my group therapy session, which I really need today.
Good afternoon! I'm currently sitting at cd17, no temp rise yet and I used my last OPK on cd 15, without having turned one positive so not sure when I'm gonna O but it should be by the end of the week. This is our last totally natural cycle before seeing an RE on 11/7 so FX.
Ive been fortunate to be surrounded by nice people so it's difficult to choose the kindest thing people have done...my friends pooled together money one Christmas to fly me home to see my family bc they knew I was homesick, we had a major outpouring of love after our MC some from people we barely talk to, and my DH always tends to pull off a yearly epic surprise, he's the best

@hoffmanr7 - so good that your timing will be okay! I hate when trips interfere with O day!! My feelings have been alternating hopeful and resigned. I'm on my first cycle of letrozole too and don't know if this will be the answer for us or not.
@Bababatty - sorry to hear about the low motile count. fingers crossed that one of those guys is the winner anyways! (I just rewatched the Great Sperm Race on youtube and it's all I can think about today haha).
I'm at home resting after my HSG. Got the all clear that my uterus and tubes look normal and open. We needed this good news! I'm still waiting on my AMH and am trying not to call daily like a lunatic. It wasn't too painful but caused cramping that was just a bit worse than my usual menstrual cramps. I have a bit of bleeding that I hope settles down by tonight so we can get busy. It's CD11 for me so it's fertile window time! I hope the letrozole has made my follies grow!
I wish things were different here and that I could have an ultrasound to look at them now. Then again, I'm happy to save the money if I need to spend it for IUI or IVF.

As for me, the 4 tests that my gyno ordered all came back good. So that's awesome! She did prescribe Provera but AF came on her own so I didn't need to take it. Right now our plan is to use OPKs starting at CD 10 and having timed sex. We shall see how it goes. Gyno said if I don't get a positive OPK or get KU in the next 6 months, then we will do some more tests (unless something else comes up between now and then).
I would say my parents who adopted me. If that hadn't happened, who knows what would have happened to me. IMO nothing has been nicer then that.

I haven't updated here in awhile! I was on BCP til last Wednesday and I started stims yesterday for IVF. I'm on follistim and Menopur. Egg retrieval should be between 10/19 and 10/23. The first shots weren't bad at all and Side effect wise I just started getting a headache around an hour ago. I'm sure I'm in for more symptoms as the stims continue.
As for the kindest thing anyone has done for me, I have to say my friend getting me in at my current job. It got me out of retail, and into a M-F gig.

First update. CD 17, no positive OPK. I know that my OBGYN has recommended doing them until Day 21, but seriously, I have had two sticks with nothing after having three with a faint line. No IUI treatment this cycle, which bums me out.
The kindest thing anyone has done for me? A friend inspired me to reassess my career and I found a field that I like. Now to just get a job in it...
I just want to say too that everyone has been so kind. I've really needed this community. I have been just bottling up a lot of stuff inside because no one else in my life can understand. Lots of 'one and done' moms in my world.
Hi girls! CD 16. Triggered on Saturday & my RE wanted us to BD Saturday night & 2x Sunday- this is so different from my last RE! DH was being a diva so we ended up BD Fri/Sun/Mon. Trying desperately not to SS.
@hoffmanr7 I can relate- feeling very similarly this cycle
qotw: my dad drove me and my friends 2.5 hr away one way to see Boyz II Men at a club when I was 13. He used to drive me to visit my sister in college all the time. I appreciate the sacrifice. Is that I'm an adult...at the time I didn't appreciate it.

CD12 here, positive OPK this afternoon which means we get to sneak in an IUI tomorrow morning before we leave town for a week! Yay!
the only problem is how do I do the progesterone suppositories when they have to be refrigerated? I will be 6dpo when we get back home.....anyone have insight as to whether that will be too late to start? Maybe I can take them with and refrigerate on arrival?
I did get my CD3 FSH back and it was 7, so we continue to be unexplained.
Keeping those affected by the storm in my thoughts tonight.

AF arrived yesterday just light spotting so today would be first full flow. I just contacted my RE. They may want another HSG test done to check the cyst. since they have found nothing wrong and husband SA came out great we have decided to continue with Clomid since I responded, the trigger shot and timed intercourse for now.
Just a quick update, my SO's post-wash numbers for our IUI were way better this time. last time was 32% motility, this time 55% which put us at 70mil total, motile. Unfortunately, the OB told us, due to my age, we would need IVF if this didn't work and told us to make an appt now so we could get in by 2017.
My SO is on board for IVF, although we are both not sure we can afford it. Has anyone on here gotten any grants/funding/aid for IVF? I feel like it's unlikely we would get any as we probably make too much money (but both have crazy student loan debt).
It wasn't a very positive way to end the IUI, but we fly out to Wisconsin in a few hours for a week of vacation, so at least I'll be distracted for the next week

I had all kinds of light cramping around CD 14-16. And I was so annoyed about it because I don't ovulate, and it's way too soon for AF. (I don't expect AF anyway.) Today, CD 28, my breasts are so sore. And full. So I'm even more annoyed, because my brain is all MAYBE YOU O'ED!! And I'm trying to do damage control, like "No, your homones don't have a pattern and sometimes you're all over the place. And just because you have PMS symptoms doesn't mean you had a cycle." So much stress going on with the move and my friend and everything. Could you remove the losing weight thing? It's hard enough feeling the pressure on myself...

@BecauseLove How are you feeling about moving on to IVF?
@hoffmanr7 that sounds like a great boss; doesn't working with great people make all the difference?
@Bababatty I'm so sorry, I felt a similar despair this month when DH's count was so much lower than before I hope the urologist has some suggestions. Ours wants DH to go on a fertility supplement, and we've been avoiding it but I think it's time now. Good luck with your consult.
@SoonToBeMommaHowe That is such a nice thing for your friends to do! I know I was really excited before our RE appointment, I hope the time goes fast for you!
@SaphireSweetie88 It's great AF came on her own this month, hopefully that is a good sign I love hearing adoption stories
@PoeMasque where are you vacationing in Wisconsin? We live in Madison!
So it's CD1 for me and we're moving on to IUI #3 this month. Last month I had good follicle growth, so hopefully that will occur again. I think we'll try to abstain a little longer before the IUI and see if that improves DH's counts (they were only 4M last cycle post wash)
Also DH's urologist had recommended a supplement by Coast Science that we had been avoiding, but we're going to give it a try now. I know it will take a few months before we might see an effect, so better to start now.
Has anyone else heard of the Coast Science supplement? Anyone else's DH on it?

I seriously want to cry. Went to the RE today for baseline bloodwork and ultrasound. I asked when I should start the Clomid and she said not this cycle BC they need to check what's going I. With the cyst. I have an appt next week for HSG test. Its so frustrating this is the second month I have to put on hold.
I'm 37 so maybe that's why it's hitting me harder as the months tick away. I'm trying to stay positive. I honestly never knew how infertility can play with your emotions so much.
@PoeMasque I personally don't have experience with this but I know resolve.org has information of funding IVF. That may be a good place to look of you haven't already.

@lablover78 good luck with the TWW! Hope your timing was spot on!
@PoeMasque I agree about the insulated lunch bag with a freezer
pack! Unless you are flying… but then
maybe the pharmacy can give you a note that your meds need to be kept cold and
they will let the icepack on the plane.
Sorry to hear about the low counts.
I hope you find some funds for IVF if you need it!
@ReesaAnne16 good luck with this cycle!
Hopefully third times the charm!
@Labluver2 sorry about the hold up and the cyst. Hopefully the HSG goes smoothly.
Got my AMH back and it’s not good. 0.9 ng/mL, which is not the worst it could be
but it’s pretty low (especially considering I’m under 30). I don’t think this changes anything for us
and our treatment plan but it does make me feel like the pressure is on
time-wise. It makes me wish I had never
wasted all those years on birth control in the first place…

@hoffmanr7 I'm with you feeling resigned. I'm honestly not sure how I've been feeling lately, but that is definitely the closest description I've come up with. I hope this cycle gives you the surprise you're looking for!
@Bababatty Sorry about your H's numbers, but remember that it only takes 1!
@SaphireSweetie88 Yay for tons of good news and AF coming on her own!
@Megzb510 Good to see you over here! Good luck with your IVF cycle!
@PoeMasque FX for your IUI and that you won't need to worry about affording IVF! Have fun on vacation!
@ReesaAnne16 Sorry about CD 1, but the supplement sounds like a good plan.
I'm just finishing AF in the next day or so and getting ready for the next cycle. I've been O'ing a bit earlier in the last few cycles, which is encouraging and much less tiring, so here's hoping the trend continues.
I had my follow-up appt with my OBGYN from my HSG and H's SA. Both tests looked good, so he recommended an RE. We have an appt with him for an initial consultation on the 25th. For whatever reason I'm feeling a bit freaked out about seeing the RE, even though I was expecting that to be our next step. Maybe it just makes our issues that much more real; I'm not really sure. Hopefully my nerves will settle down in the next few days.
Adding a *TW* to my kindest thing because I'm not sure how it might be received here:
When my best friend and her family visited over Labor Day weekend, we were talking about my fertility issues and she said that she and her husband had really been discussing it and wanted to offer for her to be our surrogate, should we decide to go that route. I cried, she cried, omg we were just a mess. While H and I more than likely will not opt for a surrogate, it was the absolute sweetest thing ever.

@Labluver2 - Oh, I had no idea either the emotional toll infertility takes. Wishing you the best.
I have my optimistic days and my somewhat hopeless days. Today, I am just kind of wishing my emotional energy could be focused elsewhere, but it seems impossible.
@ReesaAnne16 I am so sorry about the BFN!! I hope you did something nice for yourself. I really hope this next IUI works for you! DH said the exact same thing about abstaining a bit longer next time. I've never heard of that supplement; what does it do? Our urologist is probably going to prescribe Clomid or arimetrex (sp?) to DH, depending on the results of some additional blood tests he ran.
@Labluver2 I'm so sorry about the delay and cyst. I can imagine how very, very frustrating that is. I really hope the cyst goes away quickly and you're able to jump back in.
@Bababatty it's supposed to improve sperm quality by protecting against free radicals and other damage (I think it's high in antioxidants). I'm skeptical it will help, but I guess it can't hurt.

It's my first time posting in the check in after introducing myself in a post last week. I am loving every one here already and I love that there are others out there who are there for support that can relate to this frustrating/sad process of TTC. AF arrived a couple days ago so I have been bumming out this week and doing a lot of crying after learning my sister is pregnant. Even though I'm seriously very excited for her it is pretty heart wrenching every time the family or friends come up and hug her and scream for joy. I hate that it makes me so sad but I can't help it, the tears just come. I'm eagerly awaiting my doc visit on the 24th to take the first steps in getting help with this and also waiting on a new box of OPKs and pregnancy tests from Amazon.
Nicest thing anyone has ever said: my sister told me two days ago that if I couldn't get pregnant don't lose hope because she would carry a baby for me and my husband. It made me cry.
Welcome, @whenwillieversleep! I'm so sorry you're having a rough week. I think we can all relate to the feeling of being excited and jealous at the same time. It's great to have this space so you can vent about just such a thing.
Ugg having a hard weekend... 1 birth announcement and 2 pregnancy announcements this weekend... I'm just done.

@ReesaAnne16 I'm sorry. Hope you can treat yourself this weekend There must be something in the air. I'm hearing them all, too. Hopefully whatever it is is catching?
CD 1 here. Le sigh. Confronted by my short LP once again. Seeing a naturopath Wednesday to see if they can extend it, since my RE doesn't seem to care that the progesterone supplements didn't work. Didn't even test the levels... If that doesn't work, shopping for a new RE in the new year. Hooray?
@ReesaAnne16 - Just one baby shower this week for me. Sorry you're getting so much "joy" this weekend.
@whenwillieversleep - I started to cry a little when I read about your sister's offer. And I also totally Prime my OPKs and pregnancy tests. I don't want to be caught buying those at the grocery store in my small town. Thank goodness for Amazon!
Hi ladies, sorry I have been MIA for a couple weeks. I'm in the TWW (ish) of my first medicated cycle. I was on Metformin, 5 days of Clomid and 3 days of Estrace suppositories. I had one good follicle at my US on Friday, so I did an Ovidrel trigger shot on Friday night and we BD'd Friday and this morning. It has felt like a whirlwind, but now all I can do is wait. I also am having my progesterone checked this coming Friday.
It seems like this has been a rough week for a lot of ladies. Hugs to everyone who needs them.
ETA: I forgot about the QOTW. I feel like I have had a lot of kind people in my life, so it's hard to choose. I'm gonna go with a random act of kindness.
This happened when DH and I were moving to a new town after I graduated college and was getting ready to start grad school. We had strapped our mattress to the luggage rack of his parents van to transport it. We started down the highway and my parents were following us and said the mattress was holding and everything looked good. Five minutes later we heard several pops and the mattress, along with the luggage rack, ripped off the top of the van and slid into the ditch. We had to pull over and weren't sure what we were going to do. A man with a flatbed trailer pulled off and helped us transport our mattress back to our apartment. He refused all payment. It felt so big because this person had no reason to be kind to me at all.

sending you positive vibes and a hug over the interweb @ReesaAnne16 That stinks. My husband's cousin had her baby shower over the weekend. I didn't go but of course there were pictures posted on facebook of the whole event that just made me say "ugh"
@smokinangel I just reread your post and I relate with them not caring about the short LP. Even though low progesterone was the only conclusive thing wrong with me (other than vitamin d deficiency) I had to request to have my progesterone checked to see if I'll need supplements during my LP. What's with that?
I'd be curious to know what your naturopath says about lengthening it naturally. I tried Vutex before I started infertility treatments and it didn't seem to make a difference, but I only used it 3 months.

Nothing much to report here. Still healing from my surgery. My husband is anxious to try again for our miracle. I have a appointment on Nov. 10th, two days after my birthday, to see how my body is handling everything. So hopefully I get a go ahead that I'm OK to try again. I was given metformin but my stomach can't handle it . Hoping I can try something else. After not having my monthly since June; I've never been so anxious to have it in my life!
Went for my HSG today it didn't hurt that much. I def have a particial blockage in my left tube BC of a cyst. They said something about removing it. I meet with the Dr on the 31st to go over everything and discuss our options. I'm just afraid they will tell me that next month is another no go until the cyst is removed.

That's a tough one. I would say probably when my boss took on-call for me for a month when I was starting to stress and feel burnt out...and then telling me we would alternate weeks for a while so I didn't jump right back in when I was feeling better. Hands down, best boss ever.

@SoonToBeMommaHowe - keep HIO!

@hoffmanr7 - FX that you O before DH leaves. Awesome boss!
@Bababatty - Sorry to hear that. FX for a strong swimmer
@seethosestars - Yay for the good news.

So much stress going on with the move and my friend and everything. Could you remove the losing weight thing? It's hard enough feeling the pressure on myself...
QOTW: What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you?
idk Married me idk.

@BenJay We're glad you're here
@lablover78 feeling hopeful for you this cycle!

I'm 37 so maybe that's why it's hitting me harder as the months tick away. I'm trying to stay positive. I honestly never knew how infertility can play with your emotions so much.
Past Treatment: Clomid + Metformin x 3 BFN
Letrozole 5 mg + Trigger shot + IUI = BFP!
Beta confirmed 8/22
EDD 5/1/17
@saphiresweetie88 glad AF came on her own and you didn’t need the Provera! And great news about the normal tests!
@megzb510 good luck with the stims!
@lablover78 good luck with the TWW! Hope your timing was spot on!
@PoeMasque I agree about the insulated lunch bag with a freezer pack! Unless you are flying… but then maybe the pharmacy can give you a note that your meds need to be kept cold and they will let the icepack on the plane. Sorry to hear about the low counts. I hope you find some funds for IVF if you need it!
@mythrill sorry about the symptom spotting =(
@ReesaAnne16 good luck with this cycle! Hopefully third times the charm!
@Labluver2 sorry about the hold up and the cyst. Hopefully the HSG goes smoothly.
Got my AMH back and it’s not good. 0.9 ng/mL, which is not the worst it could be but it’s pretty low (especially considering I’m under 30). I don’t think this changes anything for us and our treatment plan but it does make me feel like the pressure is on time-wise. It makes me wish I had never wasted all those years on birth control in the first place…

Thanks @seethosestars - I am keeping my fingers crossed and trying not to get my hope up too much - which is hard after the good news about the tests.

@BecauseLove Good luck with your consult this week! I hope it goes well!
@seethosestars Yay for clear tubes!

I have my optimistic days and my somewhat hopeless days. Today, I am just kind of wishing my emotional energy could be focused elsewhere, but it seems impossible.
DH - low motility
Rx: Levothyroxine, misc supplements
@Labluver2 I'm so sorry about the delay and cyst. I can imagine how very, very frustrating that is. I really hope the cyst goes away quickly and you're able to jump back in.

Nicest thing anyone has ever said: my sister told me two days ago that if I couldn't get pregnant don't lose hope because she would carry a baby for me and my husband. It made me cry.

CD 1 here. Le sigh. Confronted by my short LP once again. Seeing a naturopath Wednesday to see if they can extend it, since my RE doesn't seem to care that the progesterone supplements didn't work. Didn't even test the levels... If that doesn't work, shopping for a new RE in the new year. Hooray?
@whenwillieversleep - I started to cry a little when I read about your sister's offer. And I also totally Prime my OPKs and pregnancy tests. I don't want to be caught buying those at the grocery store in my small town. Thank goodness for Amazon!
DH - low motility
Rx: Levothyroxine, misc supplements
It seems like this has been a rough week for a lot of ladies. Hugs to everyone who needs them.
ETA:
I forgot about the QOTW.

I'd be curious to know what your naturopath says about lengthening it naturally. I tried Vutex before I started infertility treatments and it didn't seem to make a difference, but I only used it 3 months.
