@BaileyM321 I have been there with the horrible progesterone side effects. I wasn't even doing it for pregnancy just hormone regulation years ago and they were no joke. I can't even imagine trying to get through the TWW with them.

@GeorgiaWife6912 so sorry to hear about the temp drop :(

@juneroseruby sorry for CD1 :(  but that was a hilarious GTKY answer!

    Month/Cycle:  2/2

    CD/DPO:  21/7

    Timing:  -4, -2, -1, 0

Testing:  12dpo (Sunday) I will make it...I will

R/R:  still feel like crap from whatever virus has taken over me. Just dragging and so I'm emotional and irritability. You'd think AF was tomorrow and not potentially a week away. not to mention the funky early acne. And I think I may have anxiety disorder from this election.

CS/Q: eh, not really. I had a jump this morning in temps so waiting it out to see if it might look triphasic over the next few days.

GTKY: What is something hilarious you believed was true when you were a child?

I have the same gum one: if you swallow it it stays in your stomach for 10 years

  • Guys- I ACTUALLY have time to post here during the day! This is amazing!

@bumpybump I remember hearing that a boy had to pee in you to get pregnant. I remember thinking how gross that was and now that I think about it...what we still do is weird when you think about it, lol. Also not weird at all about the timing thing. Im just lucky that my sex drive is high as is my husbands- always has been

@WillRunForWine21 your dad is my new hero

@RunRestRepeat sorry for your dumb AF being MIA with the BFNs. Hopefully you get some answers soon

@JuneRoseRuby sorry for the AF. Treat yourself today to a big glass of wine

@ChefRamsay you had me at puppy. What kind? How old? Where'd you get him/her?

@BMPNAB - sorry the OPKs are confusing. Can I ask- are you testing once a day or twice? The reason I ask if I used to test once a day for the first month or 2, and then I read on here (I think? Maybe elsewhere) that you can sometimes miss it unless you test twice a day. Lo and behold, the next month I tested twice a day and I had a morning one that was dark, and the prior afternoon and that afternoon were basically white. I would have missed it entirely if I had only been testing once a day. Also, not every month would I get what is called the 'true' positive, in that I would get a darker line, but it wasn't as dark as the control, and then it would get lighter as I tested that afternoon or the next day, but I knew I had ovulated that day (or the next) based on temping at the time, so you may be one of those people that doesnt turn it fully, or has a really short spike or something

  • @kiwi2628 I have been testing normally twice a day but also some days just made it once.  I noticed the line getting darker and darker and just never had that fully dark line.  Then a test on the weekend was stark white.  So I was thinking maybe that control line just didn't get dark enough because I didn't test at the right time.  Then yesterday the line was slightly there again.  Making me go wtf did I O or not...haha...so confusing but getting the hang of it.  Thank you!
That is why I was wondering if after you O is the test supposed to just be white or can you have LH in your urine all throughout your cycle.

@JAM85 Sorry your feeling so crappy.  I feel ya on the acne thing...I never really used to get any until these past few months off BC.  Silly hormones.  I wouldn't mind zits everywhere as long as that BFP shows up lol  ;)

  • @BMPNAB you do have small amounts of LH in your system throughout your cycle and it does minutely fluxuate, so you may have very light lines at any point through your cycle. If a dark OPK (even if not as dark as a control) lines up with a temp spike same day/next day, then go with that as O day
  • @adirat Thanks! This makes me feel much better. I could always lie and say that it's been 6 months ;) Haha but you're right and should probably wait it out anyway, especially since my timing sucked for this first month!

  • @bramblerose trust me, I just found this out like a year or so ago, LOL  Apparently ponies are just small horses, meaning even the full-grown adults are small. They're just a different kind of horse and not actually baby horses.

@haylsbayls No worries. I get it. I actually had my annual with my gyno during my fourth cycle and shared how things were going and issues I had noticed/that I associated with my endometriosis. Definitely makes sense.

  • @JuneRoseRuby my H is also a type 1 diabetic. He was diagnosed at age 29 after losing 60 plus pounds over a year and was hospitalized in the ICU with DKA when we had no idea it was what he had. He wound up in debilitating nerve pain for about 6 months as his sugar got under control after what was likely a long time in some crazy numbers and his body adjusted to his new homeostasis. Both his neurologist and GP have given us a heads up that there may be nerve damage that would cause some SA abnormalities. Ironically, his endo has never mentioned it. His GP is most vocal about DH getting an SA sooner rather than later as he knows we are TTC. I had always assumed solid A1C, no issues worth noting but there are possibly other health related things (and obviously my H and your H are different etc etc). So take home message: I think that it is worth it for your husband (and you of course) to see a GP/other endo for blood work and start a dialogue with his doctor about general health in absence of his endo. Maybe starting there you can make some decisions about timing of an RE appointment etc. I hope I did not overstep, just thought I'd share. I'm most definitely not a doctor nor play one on TV, have just been thrown a lot of information on type 1 diabetes over the past few years as DH and I were already married at his time of diagnosis and we learned together.

@bumpybump, your gtky - I don't know why, because it's really not all that different from what actually happens, but for some reason that just grosses me out soo much more than reality haha.

@WillRunForWine21 and @manillabar it was pretty much exactly what you're picturing haha!  Except you also have to factor in my mom laughing at me from the kitchen window!!

Also, I fully support the idea that you have kids to lie to them lol.  What fun would childhood be without Santa and the tooth fairy?  And figure skater parents, of course!

@BrambleRose - I was the same way with inanimate objects, but mostly stuffed animals.  I used to rotate which ones I'd sleep with so none of them felt left out.

@adirat I think it's actually an old wives' tale or something.  My coworker and I looked it up a while ago, but I forget what we found.

@haylsbayls - I understand where you're coming from, but I would try not to read into family history too much.  If you can!  While it can certainly have some impact, it's also not definitive and each individual is different.  My mother and sister had no problems at all getting pregnant and both had easy births.  I have not been so fortunate.  :) Keep your head up!

Edit:  Bump is still being disagreeable.

@WillRunForWine21  Thank you so much! I have been trying to find some support for this and you're the first one! He has his endo appointment in one month, so I think I will be that BSC wife and write a list of questions he needs to discuss with her. I am tempted to go with him, but he will definitely think I am a nut job then! Can you help me out though, whats GP and SA?

  • @JuneRoseRuby I am glad it was helpful, I debated writing it because as I said I'm not a doctor, just going through something parallel. And trust me, don't worry about being BSC wife. I send DH to doctor with a list and tell him I will only continue to stay home  if all my questions get answered. I have a great relationship with his neuro and GP after the ICU stint and neurological complications.  They look for the list at this point.... I think husbands are good practice for children! Feel free to PM at any point for questions/commiseration!

  • @WillRunForWine21 I'm glad I'm not alone with monitoring DHs doctor visits. I also send him with a list of questions and what blood tests to ask for and he knows if I don't get the answers back he will just have to go again. His family is huge medical avoiders and would rather putz around than be proactive. I grew up with two doctors for parents so while I know what is fine to just wait and see and I am very proactive and insistent that things be addressed ASAP when that isn't the case. I literally call and make the appointment for him because he won't.

    @JuneRoseRuby
My H is a T1D too (thanks for the tag in @Sugargirl1019). I also have hypothyroid, so our endo told us that after 6 months of timed intercourse (tracking O, etc.) that he would send us to the RE because of our issues. I know there have been some studies (small ones, so not totally conclusive) that have shown that T1D can cause more DNA damage in sperm, which could have fertility consequences. I would maybe schedule a meeting with your obgyn to see if they will give you a referral at 10 months or at least order a SA for your H.
  • Thanks @WillRunForWine21  and @20T !! I tried leisurely until spring, and then in June I really became much more concerned since I hadn't gotten KU and now I am sort of going BDC because its going on 10 months. So that also makes me wonder if the first 5 months of trying weren't good enough, or if something is up.  I was doing OPKs and monitoring CM, but I've added temping into this month. I've also done tons of dietary things (I'm pretty healthy anyways) but still nothing. So maybe after this month, and his visit with his endo I might head to the RE.  Do you think endo will do a SA or he would need to be referred to a RE for that? Thanks again girls!

  • @JuneRoseRuby We went to a urologist for an SA but I think any doctor including endo can order it. It was performed at an outside lab, & it's not always easy to find such a lab depending where you live! Ours was LabCorp, and it was 30+ minutes away.
