30 - Woot! 75% done baby! That's a passing grade. <sorry I'm sleep deprived and not making much sense today>

I'm so happy to hit 30 weeks finally. It feels like I'm finally getting close. Like single digit weeks ahead of me. Can I start pushing yet?
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
So many braxton hicks, and more painful this time around. Some fatigue but not terrible. I'm actively avoiding waddling when I walk, so we'll see how long I can keep up this charade.
GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween?
I'd like to, but I seriously have no clue what I'd be. We'll see what happens. I'm kind of phoning in life right now.

Upcoming appointments? Next Monday. I was told that this will be my last appt before I have to "disrobe". I guess our OB office starts checking for dilation and such at 35 weeks

Rants/raves/questions? Nesting mode was in full swing this weekend and I'm shocked at how much DH and I got done.

Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Nothing really but my sniffer is heightened again. Which has been strange.

GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween? I wanted to dress up like the 50s house wife and have DH dress like the milkman hahaha but idk I might just keep it simple and dress up like a black cat... a pregnant black cat

Rants/raves/questions?
Third trimester is coming on hard! Baby feels heavy to carry around now, and her kicks are stronger and more uncomfortable. Sleeping well also seems to be a thing of the past. My snoogle isn't quite cutting it anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still love it, I just don't think anything is going to make sleeping comfortable at this point.
I LOVE that in the past few weeks I feel like I've been interacting with baby more. Somehow it just seems more real that there is an actual person in there, and I'm starting to get to know her. It makes taking ten minutes to put shoes on worth it

Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
I got a really strong craving the past few days for oranges and bananas. I guess baby really want vitamin C and potassium.
GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween?
I'm embracing my inner Doctor Who nerd and going as the TARDIS for Halloween. I have an apron with the TARDIS design printed on it, and that seems like a pregnancy friendly costume. Still working on getting DH to agree to dress up as Doctor Who.

Upcoming appointments? Normal check up on the 28th.

Rants/raves/questions? I'm doing okay. Sorry I haven't been around much...work has been really busy, and I've been so fatigued by the end of the day that I end up in bed by 8.

Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Carpal tunnel is coming on strong. Fatigue is a big one.

GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween? Not really dressing up, but I got one of those skeleton t-shirt with a baby skeleton on the belly. Baby skeleton is a witch.

Hello everyone!

How many weeks? 32... about 8 to go!

What size is baby? bok choy, large jicama, squash (looked like one of the long ones), pain d'epi (bread made for sharing that looks like wheat), florida pomelo, plastic scooter board (old school gym class), naked-tailed armadillo

Upcoming appointments? Tomorrow afternoon, quick biweekly checkup. However, I am set to get the tDAP shot so am not looking forward to that (hate shots, and with the flu one a couple weeks back, my left arm was sore for 4 days and know this can be longer). I am seeing a different OB, as mine is on vacation.

Rants/raves/questions? I thought I would have stretch marks by now *knock on wood* but they haven't appeared... and know they still could. I will probably gain 50lbs. total (already at 40 gained since week 13), so I would be shocked if they don't show up.

DH and I are celebrating our 2-year anniversary today. I took the day off to run errands and get a mani/pedi. He's leaving work early so we can hit up a couple furniture stores to look at recliners/gliders and then go out to eat somewhere. Last anniversary as a family of 2!

Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Swollen feet/ankles/hands. My stand-in wedding ring is getting to be too tight, and it's usually TOO big. No big cravings, but can only handle so much sweet stuff - so that's nice. I have been getting tired more easily, or wake up awake and then after getting ready for work, am tired all day.

GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween? Nothing probably. I thought about it, but just haven't had the time to go out and get anything... which is fine. I'll just be a PG lady and call it good. Maybe something easy will come to me the weekend before.

What size is baby? Pineapple says another source, and she feels about that big now.

Upcoming appointments? Next week, I think they do the strep b test which I heard is uncomfortable. They keep circulating docs on me so I have no relationship with any of them. Kind of annoying.

Rants/raves/questions? I guess that was my rant above. Not sure what to expect from appts here on out so I'll ask at next one. Last time doc hinted my baby might be breech so I'll follow up on that. She didn't feel around or anything, just said from heartbeat. I'm disappointed in my care overall. I had to remind them at the last appt to do the Tdap. She said I thought we did that already? Then she finally pulled up my chart, mid appointment. Face-palm.

Symptoms/cravings/aversions? Feeling nauseous again from no room in my stomach. Hips hurt. Generally cranky. As to be expected.

GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween? Yes, going to do some jund of fun couples' costume.

How many weeks? 31 weeks and I'm happy I've made it this far.

What size is baby?: He is the size of an otter, which is cool yet terrifying.

Upcoming appointments? BP checkup on Thursday...fingers crossed I don't have to be hospitalized.

Rants/raves/questions? DH has really gone above and beyond for me through all this complication crap. He's like my biggest fan and I always can count on him. It's such an inconvenience but he helps me with a smile on his face and never complains. I told him I'm sorry about all of this and he said he gets a lot of joy out of taking care of me and is happy to do it. He's just a sweet soul and after my crappy family life and shitty relationships I've had, I just want to cry because I appreciate him so much.

Symptoms/cravings/aversions?: Been craving BBQ a lot lately.

GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween?: For Halloween we are just staying home, but for our costume baby shower this weekend I am dressing pretty normal but I'll have a Chestburster coming out of my stomach muwahahaha. One the hosts told me he is dressing as the Goblin King...which if you didn't know, is David Bowie. He said he's especially going to accentuate the bulge hahahaha.

The home stretch has kicked in and it's getting significantly harder.... baby is sooo heavy, I constantly feel like I've been kicked in the crotch and those sweet kicks have turned into parental abuse :-(

Went on a mini vacation for the weekend and took Monday off.. It felt great, but since I'm out of my eating healthy and walking a lot routine I feel so darn puffy and stiff. My legs seem to be retaining a lot of fluids so when I am not moving as much and ingesting more sodium I can almost immediately tell the difference.. especially in my jeans
Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
The hormones/mood swings (I can blame that on pregnancy, yah?) and sciatica is kicking my butt the last few days. Otherwise still feeling pretty good.
GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween?
I'm feeling really cheap so I'm just going to throw on a long sleeve black shirt and a knitted Halloween vest that I found at a thrift store a few years ago. The only thing we're doing is helping out at the local punkin' chunkin' (google it, I dare ya) with the outhouse races.

Big enough that getting up from laying down counts as an actual workout.

Upcoming appointments?
33 week appt on Thursday with ultrasound. I'm so excited to see baby!

Rants/raves/questions?

Rant: I have moderate scoliosis which already impacts my breathing. Take that with baby crowding my lungs.. my lung capacity is nonexistent.

Rave: I crocheted 2 hats for an auction that is raising money for a lady's surgery. Mind you this is a small community auction, but each hat has already had 10 bids since Sunday.

Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
Baby used to kinda sorta disappear when I would lay a certain way.. yeah that doesn't happen anymore. I'm just huge all the time.

I'm frustrated with the lack of maternity dresses to fit my needs! I am an attorney, but professional dresses are super expensive and I cannot justify it when I would rather have new dresses for post pregnancy at that price! And everything else is too short, or thin, or
clingy! Can't anyone make a simple professional black dress at a decent price???

Symptoms/cravings/aversions?
Some swelling, craving fruit, fruit smoothies, and sherbert! Had to start taking iron supplements, my stomach has been hurting since that happened.

GTKY: Are you dressing up for Halloween?
Just black leggings and shirt with a witch hat to answer the door!
