Hey all! With Halloween fast approaching, what scary movies do you particularly like? Any recommendations?
I always watch Nightmare Before Christmas, of course, and I'm mid HP marathon now. As for scary movies, I actually think Cabin in the Woods is fantastic. (love me some Joss Whedon)

For Halloween, it's always Hocus Pocus.
@longliveregina - my birthday is May 10th, so that movie weirded me out completely. I was all "I'm gonna die!!!"

I second @foersty;If you haven't seen The Babadook yet that's definitely a good one to watch.
The Witch was good too but IMO a little hyped.
It Follows is great for that campy 80's feel; seriously underrated in my book.
Although not horror, there's a documentary on Netflix called The Nightmare and it's all about sleep paralysis. That's a horror movie in my eyes lol It's seriously unnerving.
I like psychological thrillers more than anything. Gory stuff is just a little too much for me, especially lately. But DH loves bad horror movies, which are 75% gore and 25% terrible dialogue.
I watched Crimson Peak a few weeks ago and it was really well done, lots of creepy imagery. I like the Paranormal Activity series. There's a movie on Netflix called Pontypool, which is great if you like the zombie/apocalypse genre.
Classics like Silence of the Lambs, The Exorcist, Halloween, & Nightmare on Elm Street are great, too.
