What is your health/nutrition goal this week? Eat better, as always.
What is your fitness goal this week? Be active a few days.
Any challenges this week? I get the TDAP shot tomorrow at my appt, and know my left arm will be sore for days after... so that will determine what I can really do physically. When I got the flu shot a couple weeks ago, it took 4 days for my left arm to not hurt. But, still going to try to get some cardio in the rest of the week. I have today off, and was going to do an upper body workout this morning, but have a few places to go so will get some walking in.. and that counts in my book! Other than that, nothing going on besides work until Saturday when I have my 2nd shower in the afternoon.
How did you do with your goals last week? Alright... but not great. We had a busy week so I only got one cardio workout in so I made it a good one. When the video (Country Heat dance conditioning) did stuff on the floor, I did squats... and then couldn't walk normal for a few days so at least I knew my muscles were getting a workout! I do love being sore, but maybe not as much while PG, ha.
GTKY: What's your biggest motivation to stay fit and active during the third trimester? (i.e. What's keeping you from throwing in the towel?) Trying to curb any extra pounds being added on and toning what I can, with what I can. I will probably gain over 50 lbs., and as a FTM... this is freaking me out although know my body is doing what it needs to do. I have not eaten out of control and have worked out when I feel good about it. But, when I was being active 3-4 days a week with cardio and strength stuff, and going to maybe 2 times a week now, I can tell. Plus, most of my weight gain has been hips down through my legs... my hips have gotten wider, butt has gotten bigger and my thighs, wow. I know I can't cure it all, but I am doing my best.
Bonus Bumpie Challenge: Try one of these workouts one day (or more if you like) this week

What is your health/nutrition goal this week? Green stuff. That's the thing that is sliding right now if I don't pay attention to it. Otherwise my heartburn and aversions are keeping my diet under control. What is your fitness goal this week? Mon- elliptical and strength, Tues-swim, Wed/Thurs - elliptical and strength or off depending on which day works better, Fri - family hike, Sat or Sun - swim. Any challenges this week? sleep is a challenge but I know getting my heartrate up during the day helps me sleep better so I really try to muster up the energy for that. How did you do with your goals last week? Diet - I don't know! I don't remember what I ate. Fitness - great. Two swims, one elliptical workout, one long walk. I also walk a mile into work so 3 days a week that's 2 miles a day additional. I don't generally count that though. GTKY:
What's your biggest motivation to stay fit and active during the third
trimester? (i.e. What's keeping you from throwing in the towel?) To keep my strength up for delivery. To not get depressed. It makes recovery MUCH faster in many ways. To keep getting those periods of great blood flow and oxygen delivery to baby coming! (Moderate exercise has been shown to be so so healthy for fetal development) My goal is to make it with a similar workout schedule to 38 weeks, then anything goes. But until then, lazy or unmotivated is not a valid excuse(though I literally often have to tell myself I'm welcome to back out of a workout sometimes til the moment I'm already swimming my first lap or my brain will be screaming "I don't wanna" and I just have to void my thoughts) Bonus Bumpie Challenge: Try one of these workouts one day (or more if you like) this week https://www.coachmmorris.com/2015/06/the-ultimate-guide-to-pregnancy-fitness.html.
What is your health/nutrition goal this week? Eat more protein. What is your fitness goal this week? To workout (even minimally) 5 days a week. Any challenges this week? SUCH a busy work schedule this week. I have no breaks. Later nights than usual. It's going to be rough. How did you do with your goals last week? Not great. I was tired and achy a lot. I did weights one day and elliptical another and a couple of walks in between there. Bleh. GTKY: What's your biggest motivation to stay fit and active during the third trimester? (i.e. What's keeping you from throwing in the towel?) Because my last labor was a workout. I want to have the stamina to make it through another one!
