My semester is over! I only taught half semester classes this year because I wanted to spend the last half of my pregnancy preparing for baby and getting my house ready. So I am now a SAHW soon-to-be SAHM and I am so freaking excited.
I just ate a delicious grilled cheese sandwich, followed by a mini pina colada cupcake and that was followed by a peanut butter mini cheesecake. I love 'farmers' markets. I don't think the rest of my weekend will be as enjoyable.
Test driving a bunch of cars today to try and find my mommy-mobile. Ford just opened up A-Plan (basically employee pricing) to neices and nephews instead of just immediate family so stopping by there today since the discounts are awesome.
Spent the morning making carrot & ginger soup and a beef stew. I've made a huge batch of each. My SIL is due with baby #3 in the next few weeks so I made extra to give her plus family.
This afternoon we're doing laundry and Netflix. Tomorrow, it's brunch at the in-laws.
Happy weekend, everyone!

Today is DS's 2nd bday and party, so we're gearing up for that. He's currently napping and we have to run to the dollar store at some point. I'm painting my nails.
My mom was going to come over today to hang out but she has a cough and sore throat so we decided against it. She was going to bring me Chinese food, too. Woof. I'm going to try to relax today from the busy week and this ear infection is not getting any better.
H and I ran some errands and we are going downtown for an early dinner with my cousins before he has to work tonight. Tomorrow he is finally off the entire day so we plan to paint the nursery
Today, I took my daughter to a playdate. Then on the weekends I try to do something different with the kids. So as long as I'm feeling up to it, tonight we will probably make a "tent" in the dining room with the table, and do a movie/snack night where I let them stay up later and eat snacks in the living room. Then "camp" under the table. The kids love it, but I sleep on the couch, instead of our bed.
My cousins are hosting a brunch tomorrow at my house, like a mini shower tonight I'm going to start over binge watching Tudor for the hundredth time and paint my nails and toes. Once those dry I plan on some much needed piano practice on our little keyboard then hopefully take some Unisom and pass the eff out. DH is off in Armyland til Monday and the alone time is just what I needed.
That sounds really fun for the kiddos @kswiger06 ! My son loves to have "sleep overs" in the living room but I hate it because then I have to sleep on the sofa and I just don't sleep well and my back always really hurts the next morning.
@lct2008 yes, I'm not looking forward to the couch lol... I'll be tired tomorrow because I won't sleep well. My grandma let me do "tents" with her table and chairs and I loved it. I try to do things with the kids that I liked when I was younger
@WinchesterGirl I haven't had a prenatal massage yet, but I asked my chiropractor about this, because I was curious. She said the primary differences are in how they position you (you might spend more time on your side or semi-reclined, versus flat) and in the intensity of the pressure they apply. I'm curious to hear how it goes for you!

@WinchesterGirl i had a pregnancy massage about a month ago. They use certain oils & i thought that it would be quite a light pressure but i told her i like a firm pressure & it was great. Also i was give the option to lie on my side with a towel between my legs but at that stage i was still comfortable enough with being on my tummy. Its mostly about making you comfortable.
Went baby shopping yesterday and got most of our newborn CD stash for $20!! Also bought some new-to-us baby girl clothes. Came home with a huge bag of clothes/ diapers for under $100. consignment!
My husband decided yesterday he wanted to go to a beach he always went to as a child on the atlantic coast. Despite it being 10 degrees (about 50 farenheight i think) it was a really beautiful fresh day & was really lovely.
We want to a corn maze yesterday with DH's parents and their dog. The maze itself was a disappointment but the puppy being there made it fun. He liked to lead the way and was adorable. Then we went to our fav Mexican restaurant with them and I ate wayyy too much. (You can't crush your baby by eating too much right? )
today we played Dungeons and Dragons for the first time with some friends. It was quite fun and I'm looking forward to learning more and getting more in character!

DH was working on cleaning out the garage yesterday. We took a Jeep-full of stuff to the Goodwill and then went to see Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. We haven't been to the movies in awhile; so, that was a nice change of pace.

Has anyone had a prenatal massage before? How is it different from a Swedish massage?
