Im curious if anyone here has ever signed themselves out of the hospital early. The last time I had a baby they were closing the nursery completely and I am so not looking forward to that. If they aren't going to help me I don't feel the need to be there. This is my 4th baby I kinda know what I am doing. Also has anyone formula fed from day 1? I don't plan to nurse at all this time. I think that is also going to cause me a lot of grief. Since they are "baby friendly" I am thinking they probably won't even let me have formula so I will be responsible for bringing bottles and dealing with dirty dishes while there. I'm seriously considering signing myself out before bed time if I deliver at a reasonable hour. Any opinions or experiences?
Re: Leaving hospital early/baby friendly hospital/formula feeding
but I've never heard of a hospital not having formula to provide to a baby. They don't make you bring in your own food do they? They usually have butt loads of the ready to use formula. You may not get a brand choice but they can't not provide food. Of course they are going to give you guilt and they might even make you sign a consent form, but you just need to be ready to shut it down.
