TTC after 35

TWW: Aug 22-28

Tell us how many DPO you are, what you're doing/not doing this month, when/if you'll test, and symptoms that have you wondering if this is THE month!

If you haven't already made a separate intro, please first do so in a separate discussion thread so we can get to know you! Good luck!

  • @jennh75b Why thank you very much.  We are very proud of the banging we were able to accomplish this cycle.

It was either that or this ;)

  • I'm 3 DPO, obviously not feeling anything yet and still in the blissful, pre-TWW-freak out phase!

This was my first month doing acupuncture and herbs. I got a cold AND had 4 days of work in a row during peak days (12 hour shifts at my job 1.25 hours away from home). So we tried turkey bastering this time. We also had the most BDs in a row ever for us (-4,-3,-2,-1!). Woot!

Ok, no idea how to post a gif using my phone, but insert happy dance gif here! Haha

I'm 1 DPO so too new to even comment, we got a late start to BD this round: -1, 0 (which almost didn't happen because of a fight over the dog chewing up H's snotty kleenex), and we have a date tonight for +1.  I started acupuncture - have had two sessions...no herbs have been recommended at this juncture.  She did stuff mostly for my back this time because I told her I got confirmation of O, so she decided to stay away from the areas she shouldn't do during TWW.

I really just came to post a happy dance for @PoeMasque - I just watched this movie so...

  • Morning Ladies,
I have a question on temping.  This is my first cycle doing it and I didn't even begin at the beginning of the cycle.  I know that after the thermal shift the temps are supposed to stay elevated.  I've noticed that my temps have dropped about a tenth of a degree every day. Is this normal?    I'm 5 DPO today.

I absolutely love how paranoid I am of everything and think everything is a sign or lack thereof.... : /

I am about 8-10 DPO. I have sore boobs and had light cramping couple days ago. I know I should test but I have only one wondfo left so am going to wait a couple more days lol. I'm still hopeful but I've had all these symptoms before and got AF so we shall see.

Although waiting is hard, I hate the last 2-3 days of the TWW

  • @SP128 I've never been able to do temping (I work mid-shift 3 days/week), so I'm not super knowledgeable, but I think you're supposed to be seeing increased temps post O, not slowly decreasing....but again, I never really got into the details of it.

@avas_dream don't you love the pre AF symptoms? Such turds! Haha! the only time I've tested before AF was due was if I wanted to drink or if AF was actually late, I know how hard it is, but the BFNs are even harder for me.

  • Just stopping by to wish you all the best! Heck, I'm just doing my own happy dance because I could start OPKs again now that my husband is home after 3 months hiatus on this whole baby making project! Sending positive vibes to you! @Aurora1973 sorry to hear you're out this month, hang in there.
  • Thanks @Momifbysea!!  FX that you get lots of good babymaking time in.  3 months is a very long time to wait!

    Happy dance indeed!

  • @PoeMasque I showed my DH this last night and we couldn't shake this image! Thanks for the laugh!

@Aurora1973 awesome happy dance, yes I think we both may have looked like this last night. Another blinking smily face on OPK today, so hey, keep the party going right?!?
  • @Aurora1933 - very sorry to hear AF is back in town.  :(

@Momifbysea  - welcome back!  I'm very excited you can hop back on the BSC train with us!

  • @jennh75b lol I'm afraid I'm already on the train! Not even in first TWW and the first day I get that blinking smily on the OPK I'm running in to my DH who is still sleeping, dancing around like a crazy person yelling "I still work ! We got this!!!" Fist bumps all around! We do have to have the humor in this, otherwise we could really lose it...humor and sarcasm, that is. And I've gotta learn this whole meme thing, y'all are just too cool!
  • Omg I loved those dances!!!! Hahaha!

  • @jennh75b  Maybe a vacation will be good for you!  I feel like when I am focusing on all of this crap too much I am missing out on all the other great stuff going on around me.  I just planned a trip to Disney to get my mind off my epiotic loss.  Now, I have something awesome to look forward to.  Best of luck.
